Bormes-les-Mimosas Travel Guide: South of France Hidden Gem
hello hello welcome back to One and Rose i’m Karly Consker and today I am coming to you from the south of France i am at the Eden Rose Grand Hotel in Bomb Le Mimosa i’m so sorry if I butchered that but I don’t know how to pronounce it my voice is kind of gone because I am here for my very good friend’s wedding we celebrated last night and we had the most gorgeous gorgeous wedding i also went to bed around 4:30 in the morning last one dancing last one on the dance floor so hence the sunglasses because I don’t have any makeup on for this podcast episode we are rushing against the clock because I have a flight to catch i also have zero storage on my phone which I’m figuring out and I want to get this done we stayed at the Eden Rose Grand Hotel it was absolutely stunning the most insane views you could ever imagine it’s part of the best Western Premier Collection which I didn’t even know existed but this hotel overlooks the South of France you have the mountains and the water my room in particular has the most stunning balcony a girl could ask for and I’m sitting on my very comfy bed so the room is not huge but it is perfect for this weekend and what I needed from this weekend the beds are really comfy no feathers in the comforter or pillows the bathroom a great big shower with a rain shower they had a lot of mirrors like no joke like a full-length mirror two different mirrors in the bathroom the toilet and showers are separate because we are in France and that’s what they do and this hotel has great amenities it has a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the entire coast and I don’t know if it’s farmland or like wineries but it’s absolutely beautiful so we’re in the south of France because my friend Gabby who just married Zach who has been on the podcast [Music] Gabby’s family is from France her grandma has a house about 20 minutes from here and this area is absolutely gorgeous it’s about a 50-minute drive from Sanrope and while not the easiest place to get to once you’re here you know why it’s worth the drive so we had a Friday night welcome dinner white party on the beach so I got to see the beach we’re kind of high up in the hills we’re only a 5-minute walk to the little town here which has little shops it has a few restaurants it has a few stores where you can like buy jewelry souvenirs i got my brother a really cute gift so it was really cute to walk around and see all the shops and stores and explore the town of Bumle Mimosa mimosa i heard the S is silent but it is what it is so this hotel not only has a pool but it has a spa i did not get to see the spa here but it definitely has one this hotel also has a great restaurant downstairs where we had breakfast every morning i had a carbo load day after day they do have eggs they have everything that you could want for breakfast but I had pancakes chocolate croissants cheese bread cheese bread bread more cheese delicious i don’t know how French people are so skinny when they’re literally just eating carbs cheese and that’s it like literally that is it but they do and I’m just jealous so I absolutely love it here it’s beautiful i will never get over the view here i will say the party last night was so much fun i was hoping to have a cameo appearance from the bride and groom but unfortunately they’re not available despite the groom really wanting to make his comeback onto the podcast and be a reoccurring star so there’s lots to do in the area and to explore you could either go down to the beach you go to a winery you can drive into Sanrope you could drive into La Landu gabby let me know if I said that right so last night we had the party at the hotel and the wedding at the hotel it was absolutely beautiful we had a gorgeous cocktail hour at the pool area and then we went down for the main meal and the food was delicious they had the most massive cake I’ve ever seen apparently it is very traditional and very French it was like a creamy I don’t know what the cake is called but it basically was like a vanilla cake with like a lot of cream in the middle and it was delicious but it was so massive i’ve never seen anything like this in my life it was so cool and then we went to dance and to the afterparty and it was so much fun and we were dancing till 4:30 in the morning and I just had the best time so I wanted to keep this podcast episode short but before I go last night at the afterparty Zach had promised me that there would be chicken fingers and there would be chicken nuggets and there were so I did have chicken fingers in the South of France and not only did I have chicken fingers but I rated them and every single person at the wedding was asking me what my rating was and so without further ado this is the strip down in the south of France at the Eden Rose Grand Hotel i would roll the footage here and I would continue to talk about it but I don’t think I remembered to take any videos of me eating the chicken fingers or photos of them i will ask around and see if anyone else has them but we had chicken nuggets they had French fries and they also had like potatoes which I thought they were considering French fries but then they brought out real French fries so I rated these chicken nuggets and I’ll tell you why I rated them this i gave them a pretty high score but really not blow my socks off but we had been drinking a lot they got the job done i wasn’t expecting to have chicken nuggets or chicken fingers in the South of France so the surprise factor really ups the score they definitely were serving Hines ketchup i know the taste like the back of my hand and they definitely needed to be crisper for me to really give them a mind-blowing score and the breading fell off a little bit but maybe just cuz they were fresh and hot but they reminded me more of a non crispy animal chicken nugget you know like the shaped ones that you ate growing up as a kid so I gave them a 7.2 i said if I drink a little more maybe a seven eight other friends of mine gave it like a 46 but I’m like we’re eating chicken nuggets in this beautiful view in the south of France after hours of dancing what could be bad so I think that factored into my score but I gave them a 72 that’s my official rating and thank you guys for listening and watching before I really conclude I must talk about the robe I’m in i am in the Eden Grand Rose Hotel robe and this is the Mona Spa which is the name of their spa here the robes are really tiny hence why I’m wearing pants underneath they’re softer on the outside than they are on the inside which tends to be a trend in Europe apparently and they’re not terrible but I also didn’t want to be flashing everyone this entire time so that’s also an issue and they were tiny on Zach they were tiny on most of the guests so oh and the hotel doesn’t give you slippers they give you flip-flops that say Mona Spa so if you like flip-flops versus slippers keep in mind that’s what you’re getting if you come here this was my review of the Eden Rose Grand Hotel in Bon Mimosa congratulations Zach and Gabby i’m so happy I could be here to celebrate with you i love you guys so much and
