good morning it is currently 6 3 It is currently I can’t speak it’s too early it is 3:08 in the morning and I didn’t think I was tired until I started speaking on this video but here we are we are off to the trinkad we’ll wake up soon hopefully um we’ve got to get a flight from Manchester to Pisa and then from Pisa to La Laspetszia helen is my translator for the trip cuz I’m not very good with how to pronounce stuff i keep saying [ __ ] sinker and it’s not it’s Chinker right or we could all just be saying it wrong um getting a flight from Manchester to Pisa Pizza to Laspetszia fingers crossed if the trains are okay and then let’s bet you to Ria Majoui fingers crossed everything goes well pray to the travel gods that we arrive there in one piece let’s go watch it’s bloody freezing can I hope the temperature gets better than Manchester [Music] you excited Helen no we have landed in Pisa but there’s a train strike so we need to figure out how to get to Laspetsia we can get any train into Pisa Central it’s just getting from Pisa Central to Laspetsia but I’m sure we’ll figure it out it’s all part of the journey so we’ve made a little pit stop too the lean tower of pizza and the sunshine’s come out yay i’m actually boiling like I’m really warm my nose is sweaty your nose is sweaty you got a sweaty nose sunglasses got a sweaty nose it’s beautiful doesn’t even look real does it just me should I do this and it’s not that busy i mean it is busy but I expected it to be absolutely rammoed and it’s not so and it’s beautiful totally worth the walk we have arrived in Lasia so we’re basically at one of these ticket machines and you can get like a 3-day pass so we’re getting that and it seems pretty straightforward hopefully it’ll work so you’re going to go for this one and then we want the 3day and we wanted to start on this date so it was €4650 nice valid yeah cool yeah yeah right nice does that mean we can get the train as well then to Ri Majora with that ticket okay cool oh your receipt [Music] oh my dear lord oh my god so warm Ellen oh my [Music] god what’s this do a quick little room tour a little bed here and then we come out here kids playing football at the moment but got the sea over there hey sounds very noisy out there i think the kids are just having a great time um but we’re going to go find some food cuz we are starving aren’t we Helen i’m so hungry so hungry yeah we’ve Helen has been talking about this fried fish ever since we went to Six Wide Eco yeah and I’ve been dreaming about it ever since we got on that plane so we’re going to go and find it cuz I am so hungry what we going to get calamari mixed fried fish ooh fried anchovies one of us get the calamari one of us get like a mix taste test ready have another frog that’s amazing oh you don’t mind if I do i’ve had fried anchov please do i’ve not had any onion in my delic delicious and look at this view as well this is done what would you give the fried fish out of 10 right one out of 10 it was pretty good to be fair right although we got a lot we This is a medium size and we got two of these we got one anche and one mixed No calamari and shrimp yeah peeled shrimp cuz I didn’t think that they did a peeled shrimp option but they do and then you get the sauce with it as well but the lady in there was so nice she was like talking about how Oasis was her favorite band and that she loves Manchester 10 out of 10 would recommend too fruity anyways I’m going to probably continue this on the hike tomorrow so I can relax this evening and everyone’s probably here for the hiking cocktail anyway not me in fried fish my mom’s just like just going get in i I said I’m going to go and get ready for a fishing car and she reacted with a lot of me it’s currently 5:42 and we are finally hopefully going to be hiking the chinker today and hopefully we might get a little bit of sunshine look how clear the sky is that’s what we’re hoping for on this journey because the weather has just not been playing well for us as soon as we set off yesterday it chucked it down so we’re hoping to get better weather today which is the plan we’ve just basically moved everything forward so yeah got to quickly go and catch the train now we’re literally marching through the tunnel it’s like 44 minutes past and we’ve got to get the train at 49 minutes fast looks like we’re going under an aquarium so it’s a nice little tunnel just getting that warm up in [Music] maybe here the left down engage that calm engage those glutes danielle you are engage your calm and your glutes there we go [Music] we’ve just arrived in Montroso a start of our hike and we got a bit of a sunrise yay get our map out montroso yeah so where’s the train station i think it’s up there don’t you it feels like it because that bit over there where the statue is is that bit isn’t it and I think it it’ll be well signposted anyway so let’s go okay so this is the route we’re doing pretty much but we can’t do Kiglia to Manora because it’s closed but we’re going here anyway so we’ll just hop on the train for that bit but there it is yay oh look at that that’s like a hideout a bunker yeah we’ve got a little [ __ ] tear book for the journey we’ve definitely picked the right time to do it we’ve come really early and the sun is rising as we’re doing it very happy about our decision to do it today no high heels all flip flops all flip flops yeah so this is the first checkpoint there’s no one here yet cuz we’re here really early but don’t think you can just do the trail if you don’t like steps don’t do this hiking trail because literally within the first five minutes you’re stepping and you’re stepping a lot no way go on like a little roller coaster around the vineyard that’s so cool and you get this view as well that is so cool if you’re a big kid and you like getting drunk this is like the perfect thing for you so cool just had our first sighting of Vanata oh I just walked through a spider’s web again um Oh my god it’s so beautiful look i thought that was a person then it’s not it’s locks it’s so weird there it is that’s where we’re heading for beautiful little town that’s the one with the beautiful cove isn’t it would you call it a cove oh I didn’t mean to do that didn’t mean to zoom so far into my face unzoom please and then the next Oh you can actually see is that Kiglia in the distance over there no that’s Manora kiglia is a bit like tucked more in isn’t it and then around this bit here is Rio Majeri yeah I think so beautiful this is handy little information card if you are stuck or an emergency it’s got aid signals Helen so C is yes so two arms no is one arm handy and it’s got like the coordinates on as well just in case you need it hopefully we won’t more steps started to see people a group has just walked past us but it’s been really nice and quiet um so I think definitely get up and out early if you can we obviously have done it from Montroso first to Venata now we’re obviously getting sunshine on our faces i can’t imagine doing this trail like in the blazing heat i think I’d be absolutely shattered but it is nice to see a bit of sunshine on your face oh there it is what that’s like Oh yeah ranata [Music] so we are now at the Venata oo it was a bug yeah me that was Van we’re now at the Venata viewpoint or I think Helen said there is a better one so we’re going to obviously carry on but you can start to see Vata in the distance and the sunshine on our [Music] face stunning wow stunning i think I’ve just said stunning for the whole time I’ve been here it’s beautiful isn’t it well there’s the train oh and there’s the checkpoint from Is that the checkpoint there train oh train look at that good timing paid actor mhm we have arrived in Venata our first bit of civilization good morning good morning i know you why did we sing that good morning we said it very harsh it was like a good morning good morning cuz we were American yeah they were very nice like we want them to know that we’re English yeah good morning good day we should say like good day oh it smells like pastries and coffee in i could have a coffee and a Oh I could definitely have a coffee in a quason the steps continue though wow it is beautiful here [Music] can’t get over it [Music] oh look at [Music] that that’s the best thing about this hike is that you can just stop off and get past food we stopped here for a little snack and it was delicious wasn’t it Helen so good helen’s got a coffee as well so we found this sign near the train station it’s a big old map kind of hard to find the route once you’re in the town we finally found it that was wasn’t easy to Oh it doesn’t look like this is the route but it definitely is the route it was across from the place that we got the pastries from so that’s a good indication um so when you come into the town go to that place oh where’s the the red and the white there isn’t one that looks like it might be a dead end i was going to say I feel like it feels more left bit of a guessing game it’s quite fun finding the red and white red and white stamps if you will [Music] paintings yeah it’s the right way oh yeah that’s an interesting contraption there you go if you didn’t know how they how they collect the bins i’ve seen on a video before that’s so funny it’s clever invention get Oh yeah do you want to how cool is this the offer of a pink lemon for a pink lady can you make a little bit pink yes put pink in it yeah wonderful oh thank you paint i like the other way of doing it yeah the started like a 30 in the 30s yeah yeah you’re a model modern yeah model oh model now the new pink dancer in town [Music] it looks so cool [Music] delicious look at that how refreshing that is and remember that with the view now i got the hair for it apparently it’s delicious cheers cheers we were just saying that we are really glad that we’ve done it this way because you get to see all like the heart picturesque view of the towns before you get to them so it’s really nice carla I’ve very nearly got that recorded i just nearly went over it bloody hell fire first checkpoint what have we done so far oh look yeah see that bit’s closed so we’ve done Montroso Vanata Corniglia we’re here now this bit’s closed so we’re going to have to get the Chu all the way to Monorola and then hike Rejour so we’ve not got much left exciting station up that way oh and also Ah there we go it’s all well signposted when we get to the path of love the way of love we need to get a video of I want to walk the way alone i want to walk the reason why we’re saying it like that and I don’t know if I’ve mentioned it on the video before but there was this American group and they were chatting to this lady and she was talking about the um the Lore is it called villa Villamore which is basically the walk from Rio Majori to Manara she was like I don’t cuz you have to pay for it she was like I don’t know if you want to pay for it and he’s like I want to walk the way of love now I can’t stop saying it and especially because we’re going on it I just feel like I just have to keep saying it i want to walk the way of love toilets that’s good cuz I need a we So Helen’s seen that there is some basil ice cream that she wants to try out can we just like Is it bas yeah is it basil and lemon i don’t know oh that’s going oh yeah yeah it is it’s basil and lemon yeah should we try it oh yeah you have to feed me feed me at the same time basil ready [Music] lemony it’s like basil and lemon isn’t it like the first taste of it is like very basily i really like it i do and then that thing zingy you get of the lemon definitely one to try you have to you don’t think I feel like isn’t it like a specialtity to this place yeah i think um like in your head you think basil’s going to be like savory don’t mind me you think basil’s going to be like a savory you know what I mean did you always have it in past this is so like I actually really really like it i didn’t expect to i thought I’d be giving you this pot it’s like a sorbet as well isn’t it yeah yum there was loads of it yeah probably cuz people don’t want to try it but you should try it try the basil try the basil try the basil very busy wasn’t this busy yesterday and we’re going all the way down there to the train station i’m wondering where the path would have been can’t really can’t really see it can you either way we’re getting the train from Cornlia to [Music] Manorola look at all these steps steps on steps on steps on steps on steps if you don’t like steps don’t do the dare we’ve been waiting for a train to Manorola we’ve been stood here for like half an hour now is it it’s been half an hour it’s been a while i’m tired it’s been a while good thing though you can use your pass and at the toilet you don’t have to pay the euro top tip of the day that’s all for now goodbye very busy in Manorola now the sun’s out it’s cuz the sun’s out isn’t it so this is the bit closed so we got trained from here to here and now we’re doing this bit that’s the exit let’s go to the exit I think yay check that out yay so it’s one way but if you’ve got the residence path but do you only get that with certain like Airbnbs and places that you stay if you if you’ve got an Airbnb in Manorola or Rio Majure oh I see you can go both ways as many times as you want right that makes sense and you don’t have to book a time but we need your pass we’ll probably have to show it yes i have to get our residency pass out yes lovely access to Ria Mujour the last leg you sleep thank you now you keep this and this i write on the ticket because maybe if you finish the battery you forget the mobile in the room i write you don’t okay thank you what she was saying is that cuz we have tourist card because we’re staying in Rio Majori um that you can come along this path anytime or however many times that you want but only if you don’t live up if you don’t stay in Rio Majouri or Manorola you then have to buy it each time and you can only go one way right yeah we’re sorry but we can we can go back and forth however many times we want yeah it’s kind of like our own private little path which is a stunning it’s a stunning private path look at [Music] this there’s our finish line ah do we have to show our thingy one minute impossible we have finished the chick yay we’re going to do a full debrief when we get back to the uh accommodation but yay that last bit was so nice yeah it was really great way to end a great day stop my commute add my photos i just feel savory now yeah I’ve got some crust in my back actually feel like they’re big ones yeah it’s needed [Music] we’ve actually only been walking like in motion not the time it’s taken us for 2 hours 43 oh yeah but everything takes people longer than that i think we did pick up sorry I’m grabbing a few well quite a lot actually we did pick up pace when we weren’t taking pictures on stopping for lemonade why did Chris taste so much better from abroad we have been up since 5:00 a.m and I am and it’s now nearly half past 12 i am pretty tired but what a hiking route shame that part of the route is closed but nonetheless it’s beautiful i would definitely suggest this to anyone who likes long trails like scenic trails um just be warned there are a lot of steps i thought it’d be really good to show you what we’ve done hopefully you can see that um but we started in Montroso and hiked to Ria Majori um and I wondered what it would do when we got on the train and it’s kind of done like a a straight line i thought it was going to cut off come and sit here what would you rate that out of 10 out of 10 that was a 10 that was a 10 out of 10 hike it was It has like the challenging bits it’s challenging it’s got the length it goes a few beautiful towns it’s got the scenery and my favorite bit was that little cafe on top of the A lot of people say that i think like it was just so funny and so nice he was really nice and they was really tasty it was like the exact thing that I needed at that moment in time yeah they know they’ve they’ve got it haven’t they because they know that everybody’s so thirsty after doing all those steps bloody loved it 10 out of 10 would recommend yeah me too yay going to end the video here and as always I’ve been the wandering Wilson and I’m her
