Hallberg-Rassy 48 – A Yacht Delivery from Bremen to Ellos. Wonderful trip on a fabulous boat!
here [Music] [Applause] we uh on board the container ship which name I’m not even going to attempt to pronounce but here is a name I can pronounce this is blue and we’re just getting ready to get lifted into the water just preparing to get lifted now the slings are going into place we’ve just uh dropped the backstay so the crane’s got better access moved a couple of heliers around uh so it’s basically time for us to get off watch her go into the water and then we hop back on board [Music] we’re still about 20 foot up above the water at the moment so a little bit to go so evening number one and the one and only axle is in the galley soup will be soup with onion and turmeric carrots leak and some sausages now you’re talking we’ve just come down the river we’ve entered the sea we got Sophie on watch taking us around to Cox Haven and um looking like she belongs in a GTA set or something like that come down the ways and uh this is our first German sunset after Axel’s German soup vunderbar [Music] sunrise with Brun in the background just approaching uh lock number one and we are bang on time for opening of daylight hours couldn’t have worked out better at the moment we are entering the Keel Canal with Axel on the for deck [Music] not particularly warm at all but I do have my sunglasses on [Music] [Music] heat heat [Music] [Music] so Panic busy busy busy stand [Music] [Music] [Music] we are in the Baltic it’s brilliantly sunny but it’s also rather bitter but we’ve got some absolutely cracking sailing at the moment nice breeze but relatively more small sea cuz there’s not that much we are pretty hard up against the wind and solid boats that do just absolutely plows through the water no slamming very happy very comfortable and I for one am loving this busy in the Baltic [Music] we are in the territorial waters of Denmark we got Langanger land which means the long land over to our port side and um I just zoom out for you you can see a little bit where we are denmark here North Germany over here Sweden here our destination up there we’re just sort of winding our way up through shipping at the moment and our next big obstacle further north up here is the belt bridge that is a very big boat carrying very big wind turbines [Music] we are approaching the belt bridge it’s long i don’t know how long but it’s long [Music] it’s still pretty fresh out here uh but it is absolutely spectacular as you can see what’s going on behind me um we’re not expecting the sea to stay this flat though uh wind’s going to pick up overnight and tomorrow uh hopefully we’ll be in late afternoon tomorrow because on Friday there’s going to be gale force winds and we’d like to avoid them if we can so last night no it wasn’t last night last night we the owner very generously brought us dinner the night before we had one of Axel’s famous soups this evening sophie what do we have got tie red curry oh looks very favorite of mine we all live in a yellow submarine but it’s not yellow have a look the sun over there is though that’s quite yellow it’s orangey [Music] good morning everyone we’re just uh passing Vestro which is on our starboard side sun’s been rising over it and over on our port side that is the top of Denmark and then up in the far distance there norththeast of where we are is our destination of Ellos sunrise looking towards Vestro which is very lowlying so you might not be able to see it over there is Sweden [Music] we are in Elos and as you can hear that gale force winds are just starting to kick in so we are happy that we are in and we’re very happy that we tied up and we’re all going to sleep well tonight and we’re very happy to be in Sweden and in Ellas [Music] [Music]
We helped unload this beautiful Hallberg-Rassy 48 from a ship in Bremen. We then took her through the Kiel Canal and the Baltic, and back to Sweden!
