Sintra: Where Portuguese Royalty Built Paradise
[Music] all right guys hey it’s Dan with Adventures
of Dan i got two little rascals here with me Austin and Trevor all the way from the USA
and we are in Lisbon Portugal and we’re about to hop a train to Centra Portugal and
we’re going to hang out there for the day and go visit some castles and whatever
it has to offer so join us on our adventure today and we’re going to have a great time
right guys absolutely all right let’s go all right so we just got here to Centra
and we’re going to go to see a palace uh palace of Peanut so we are
going to go out here find a way to get there but already look at
this castle up there look at this oh my god that is awesome all right so Sentra Centra is about a 45minute
train ride here’s the train that we just got off of from Lisbon so this place is full
of like the fairy tale castles and just cool things to do so we’re going to go and
see as much things as we can today and then uh you know just relax but all right let’s
get after it you guys ready ready all right all right so as you can see behind me we have
the Palace Pina which is up here in the the mountains we’re about 500 m above the sea level
and uh we’re going to go check it out so let’s go so this is actually the summer house of like
the royals in the winter in the summertime they would come here cuz the temperatures
from Lisbon are about 10° C cooler than uh what they are over there so there’s two
special things here the uh the palace and the monastery so the palace is the yellow one and
the monastery is the salmon colored one but we didn’t get tickets to go inside cuz the times are
slotted but we’re going to go in here see how far we can go all right so we made it up here to the
Triton Terrace uh we only paid for the park and uh so that involves like the terrace and the
overlook so look at this place it’s in phenomenal there is the Atlantic Ocean way out there so the yellow is the palace palace
Pina look at the tiling here that’s very Portugal and then over
there would be the monastery so we’re just going to walk around
see what we can see over here and go up here to this outlook thing look
at this oh my god this is so cool my god all right so it is very it’s
June and it’s very it’s almost kind of chilly but the wind feels amazing
but this view that we’re about to show you here is phenomenal check
this out wow it’s not even real oh my goodness there it is guys
the Atlantic Ocean the coast it’s about a 20 minute drive
from here to go to the coast look at them enjoying all right so there’s
other like observation areas over here we’re going to climb up these steps and go
up there but this place is incredible [Music] all right so that is the palace
pina and the monastery and uh what a phenomenal view that provided us so we’re going to hop in we got a tour guide
and we’re going to hop in the van and uh go to the next place so stay tuned and uh we got some
really cool stuff coming right guys all right so we’ll see you in a little bit all right guys so
we’re at this place called the Riata and it is uh an old Masonic area where they would use to
bring people from all over the world to test them to become uh part of the Masonic community
so it’s incredible we’re going to check it out bring it to you here but it’s like a a goth
looking castle and it’s really cool so we’re going to go up to the initiation well they
would do all kinds of initiations here and uh mainly from people from Brazil would
come here and I go through the initiation so here we go please guys we need to
continue all right guys we’re at the initiation well check this place out oh my
god we’re going to go down it [Applause] well well well well well what do you think guys how do we
get out of here i’m not climbing i’m not climbing back up this thing well yeah this is gorgeous so imagine it is the 1700s or whatever time frame
this was and they held initiation here and every one of these stairs is filled with people
who have made it into the Masonic community and I can only imagine that this whole
thing is filled with people and they’re singing and chanting or whatever it is to
make it seem really scary for the people that are doing their initiation so this
is called the initiation well so use your imagination what you think it would be
like to be in here during an initiation over here what do you think guys really crazy
it’s really cool it It’s like the temperature has dropped drastically
down here so and there’s no light so Oh I wonder where that goes oh my god who’s that girl wow see they stand there probably right there on
that dot and I’m sure they’re given some kind of crazy task to complete while everybody is standing
in here in all these different holes in the wall that’s wild [Music] so there it is guys we just walked down
to the initiation well at the Ragato i’m going to go down here and take some pictures come with me [Music] we’re going to go [Music] [Music] all right all right so we just wrapped up at
the initiation well and we’re walking through the cave out of here does anybody
know where this goes Trevor no we have no idea where it’s going to go but we’re about
to find out so look at this this is so cool we have a decision to make we can go this
way or that way let’s go to the waterfall i think it sounds like a waterfall so let’s put
ourselves back in time and and you’re becoming part of the masons and you’re walking through this
hallway and you come out here to this waterfall my god wow there’s so much cool stuff all right guys so we just got done with the um
the well which was awesome uh the initiation well and we’re just walking up here to the Regalia
uh palace check this fairy tale of a place out unbelievable and this place overlooks the actual palace
the of the the first Portugal king right there so pretty cool all right we’re going to go down
there check this thing out and then uh we’re going to head on to the next place but the Masons
had it pretty good apparently back in the day all right we’re about to go
inside this palace it looks incredible oh my god I can’t believe
they built stuff like this amazing there we go why am I so fancy all right guys so we are leaving the Masonic
area and uh we don’t know where we’re going to go next we have a guide so he’s got all
kinds of stuff planned for us but this place has been really impressive and uh just wanted
to show it to you one last time before we leave so there you go guys hope you
enjoyed see you at the next place all right guys so we are in a town called
Rocco which means rock in Portuguese and we just came here to the most western
point of Europe and it’s right here and uh we’re overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and
this is it the the most western point of Europe my god this is the plaque [Music] wow awesome uh-huh [Music] it is so incredibly
windy here and actually it’s cold but let’s see where the boys are oh my god what is that a castle up there all right it’s like freezing cold and so windy hey stop look at this view all [Music] right guys so we’re ending our day in
a coastal village called Kascas and uh we just got done eating dinner and had some
really nice ice cream and we’re going to take the uh train back into Lisbon here in a little bit
but wanted to show you this beautiful area that we’re at it’s phenomenal cristano Ronaldo

BROTHERS!!! ❤❤❤. Can u visit the German Concentration camp?
The Initiation Well was not built for water collection. Instead, it is believed to have been used for secret initiation ceremonies, possibly related to:
Knights Templar: Some theories suggest it was used for the initiation rituals of the Knights Templar.
Freemasonry: The estate's owner, Carvalho Monteiro, was allegedly a Freemason and incorporated Masonic symbols throughout the estate.
Rosicrucianism: Other theories link the well to Rosicrucian rituals.
Tarot mysticism: The number of stairs and landings in the well may relate to Tarot mysticism.
Kids! You know what time it is?!!!
..”It’s time for lunch!”😅😅❤❤
