here’s the best French food I tried in Marseilles Marseilles is a foodiey’s dream destination so save this food travel guide for your upcoming France travel First up the Nevetses of Marseilles These traditional boatshaped biscuits are often orange blossom flavored and you can get the best ones at Ford Devet This ancient bakery is well worth a visit Did you know that there’s a unique ice cream flavor that you can only find in Marseilles it’s a black ice cream The black ice cream is made from a secret ingredient at Vanil Noir They have a few ice cream locations around Marseilles While the black ice cream is a must try in Marseilles my tip is to get this in a tub instead of a comb because it gets messy very quickly Now you can’t visit Marseilles and not try the famous Booya base This legendary seafood stew originated in Marseilles It’s best enjoyed at restaurant Murmer by Marseilles Old Porch They serve the Booya Base over two courses First with croutons and rule It’s a full-on Fuji experience trying the Booya base in Marseilles After you finish the first fish soup course they bring out the second course and it’s absolutely huge Next we’re headed to the colorful Panyier area of Marseilles You’ll find lots of traditional bakeries but I went here specifically to try La Madeline Dean This Meline bakery serves a selection of these traditional French cakes I went for Citroen and it was amazing My last recommendation is to try lots of seafood in Marseilles This port city has some incredible fresh seafood and an amazing fish market I was obsessed with the mules freed at this incredible restaurant by the old port Check my caption for more details
