How to Spend 4 Days in TOKYO, Japan?
good morning everyone from tokyo japan we are spending 5 and 1/2 days in tokyo so we’re going to explore what’s available here and just as a little side note what we did was we caught the jr train from asaka to tokyo which took about 2 and 1 half hours it gives a nice little sneak peek of fuji that i’m hoping to head out to maybe in the next day or two the streets really give that japanese vibe and i’ve already seen all the cool skylines and everything cruising around fortunately i didn’t bring my driver’s license physical one from australia so for me to rent one i don’t think i can get away with the digital edit skaka here i just want to give some context on where we are for day one so we’ve landed in tokyo and the hotel that we’re staying at is called apa and it’s in an area called akihabara now the plan was to walk to akihabara and explore but as you do in japan you’re going to always end up doing exactly as you say i actually walked all the way over to sensoji temple and then made my way for some food and ended up at tokyo skytree which is what i’m going to share with you guys in this little vlog and then caught the train back over and then explored akihabara for day one we’re most probably going to go to akihabara which is where i’m staying in the apa hotel it’s a bit small of a hotel that’s something you’re going to have to get used to it’s uh the japanese way and being bulan and australian at you know 6’1 it’s a little bit hard to even walk into the tram lines and train stations the cool thing is is pretty much at every corner block there’s these vending machines that only costs about a dollar $150 to get yourself a drink but just remember you’re going to have to carry the rubbish with you because you can’t put the rubbish anywhere around cuz there’s no bins just one thing to note around japanese public transport it is very reliable and it’s very quick actually did have a problem though with the jr being delayed by five 15 minutes but it comes relatively often so every 5 minutes there’s a train and google maps has been pretty much the most accurate in giving me the right directions but you kind of have to still be aware and read things as you go along and can’t completely rely on what’s happening on the on the app just make sure you’re going the right way cuz sometimes it does get it wrong pricing wise it’s great that they have this transportation system it’s no different than any any other country you’re still spending a couple of dollars every time you jump on any of them but it’s the fastest way to get around this is one of the mosques in uh akihabara so we’re going to go in there and uh pray quickly pretty much every 250 to 500 m you’re going to see either a 7-eleven a lawson or a family mart these energy drinks are pretty good if you’re feeling a bit flat you got pretty much a lot of these cosmetics and then you got the whole variety of drinks only 20 so not bad whole bunch of japanese different chips the snacks you got these ice [Music] creams these type of food different takeaways frozen meals that they cook for you sweet cakes pretty much not many european branded stuff all japanese pretty cool going to go grab my drink and uh apparently there’s an event going at one of the temples near here so i’m going to walk there it’s about 2 and a half km this is some type of car repair maintenance place and a car wash as well there’s another 7-eleven there’s another 7-eleven all right this is one of the little gacha porn places where you put a bit of coins in and you can collect some random little like toy items [Music] okay we made it to sensoji you got the tokyo sky tower over here and you got the buddhist temple down here so we’re going to explore it a little bit and sus it all out this is sensoji one of the buddhist temples for mercy i believe as you guys can see it’s a bit of a tourist hot spot guess like definitely a cool place to visit i’m glad that i walked the 3 km to get down here looks like there was a festival but i might have just missed it but there are a lot of people walking around so it’s going to be uh interesting things to see i think i’m going to end up eating here that was some delicious tuna eel salmon grilled just how i like it the guy made it fresh in front of us was looking for a place like that especially in japan the rice is amazing here like absolutely delicious rice i don’t know what they do where am i now i’m not 100% sure like i’m heading towards the sky tower so we kind of ended up here and considering it’s evening might as well climb up to the top let’s go and not much of a lineup considering it’s uh evening time too if you want to go to the 350th floor 2,400 yen if you want to go higher it’s uh 3,500 yen so i got the ticket that allows us to go to both floors 3500 yen $40 roughly but you know you only once in japan or maybe more you never know so this is the 350th [Music] floor extremely packed what a scale of a city huh but we want to go higher [Music] i have no idea what these anime characters are but they’re here and we’re on the 450th floor ended good hey uh don’t bother with the highest level just go for the cheaper one it’s enough then we’re just jumping on the tokyo sky tree to get back the most interesting about japan is you got these like massive buildings and every level is something like even random apartments will have something in there okay so we finally made it to akiabra even though it was a plan to get here earlier today but you know on holiday you do as you need to it’s very interesting place it’s pretty fullon there’s a lot of little spots to go into a lot of little cafes a lot of anime stuff happening feels like everyone’s a giant uh child so i’m going to explore the rest of this joint today if it’s anything interesting i’ll add it otherwise i’ll catch you guys for day two good morning everyone welcome to day two we are here at mount fuji we got up pretty early caught the bus pretty interesting ride all the way up here took about an hour and a half but what an amazing way and visibility today to see the mountain this is one of the random view spots that the tour bus took us to as you can see it’s uh very busy it’s not too bad actually considering it’s sunday but there’s a little cafe over there and you got a beautiful view of mount fuji so this is another famous photo i’m sure you’ve seen about japan it’s the lawson shop with mount fuji in the background but obviously you can see with the amount of tourists taking photos it’s not very easy to get a shot and this is another famous 7-eleven spot where a lot of people have seen photos of this was not as busy but still not easy to get that instagrammable picture and a little bit of a refuel here’s another random spot where we looking at this type of garden let’s go have a look so it’s a world heritage site here’s the main pond sus out the little koiishes in the pond well you got mount fuji and you got the japanese exotics but they’re not really japanese italian exotics a lot of tourists this is another famous photo shooting location we just made it to shimo yoshida station and we’re going to go for somewhere for a walk okay and here we go again more steps and more steps so we finally made it to the top but the reality of the experience is like this so after about 500 steps we finally made it to the top so for today we’re going to be heading to ginsa which is this area over here going to explore that space a bit head down for dinner in rapongi we’re going to go to a restaurant that kil bill was filmed in which should be pretty awesome and then from there we’re going to end up at the shibuya crossing so very exciting day you can already tell this part of the city is a little bit higher end with a lot of the different brands pretty much positioned in these massive flagship stores now this is pretty cool got a brand new 370z an r35 gtr from this in tokyo japan we can buy him brand new first stop favorite japanese brand sony park three two one start so this is doing a 3d this is doing a little 3d scan using all these cameras to create a ai generated image so now we’re headed to the actual sony shop which is just down the road from the sony experience center to see what it looks like got the alpha range of cameras what i’m using whole product showcase of all the different technology that you can actually buy [Music] oh they have to heat heat so you can see we made it to tokyo tower little bit taller than the tower in paris and everyone’s lining up to take a photo it’s crazy so we decided to come to hills house which is on the 30th fourth floor you have to buy a coffee it’s about a $500 500 yen entrance you get a full view of tokyo which is pretty nice if you don’t want to go to those towers that we went to in the previous videos as well as a sky view of the entire tokyo area yet [Music] [Music] so here we are at marunuchi station in tokyo this is going to be my little summary of what i thought about tokyo as a city versus my expectations and what the reality was like to be honest it’s a major capital city so it’s completely welldeveloped organized clean bathroom subway metro it’s perfect as a major city i can’t really fault it i’ve never waited more than 2 or 3 minutes for a train or or a railway the only thing that’s a bit odd is that they do stop the railway after 12 so there’s a big rush otherwise you’re going to be paying $50 to $60 depending where you’re staying to go via an uber or a taxi in terms of expectations obviously on instagram and facebook you see a lot of these reals and advertisements and there are a lot of like little specific areas in tokyo that you can go to where those things were recorded but as you travel through you’re traveling through a city so you’re mainly seeing buildings you know different types of advertisements different types of shopping centers and then you come to that specific highlighted area that’s on instagram and even sometimes i walked past something and i was like “oh no that that’s that spot that i saw and i didn’t even realize.” so there’s a lot of things to explore here you’re not limited to just those things that you see online but it’s kind of you have to travel to different spots within tokyo so we were staying in akihabara and then it takes about like 20 minutes to get to here and then 20 minutes to get to the the crossjuku crossing and then you’ve got um sorry sabuya crossing and then you got sinjuku so there’s these areas that you have to travel to and each of them offer kind of a different vibe but after a while you start to see the same kind of thing like every little area has this kind of like old school japanese kind of streets where they have you know little restaurants that can fit five to 15 people and that’s where you sit and eat and then in the meantime you you’re transitioning through price-wise i would say you know i’ve spent here close to over 5 12 grand travel accommodation and just random few bits and pieces that i bought it’s not a cheap destination to travel to um but again it’s a first world country and it is like one of the largest cities in the world so it’s definitely worthwhile coming if you guys got any questions if you got any comments leave them down below and i’ll try to answer it it’s not as complicated as you might think to come here as a first time you can navigate it pretty well with google maps and a little bit of intuition so i appreciate you guys watching and uh thank you and i’ll see you again another video soon make sure to I love your first hand authentic coverage of Tokyo. I loved the Mosque bit , kind of heard you say you'll pray there do you mean spiritually or you're a practicing Muslim ?
