Unbelievable… 🏰 The Reichsburg Cochem Castle lived up to my expectations! Built around 1056, guided (in English) tours are offered for a small fee.
🤩Three of my favorite things:
🏰 1. Looks amazing at night as it is illuminated and high above the Moselle River (Mosel in German)
🏰 2. Tour, views and walking around the castle are all amazing and worth the time. Enjoy more views from the castle cafe as well during your visit with a glass of wine and cheese!
🏰 3. This one is a tie between the castle cat (who we loved) and the mermaid where you are able to stand under, make a wish with your eyes closed and it will come true! (Thats what they say! 🧜♀️)
🤩Pro Tip ~ there is a parking lot at the base of the castle, it only holds a few cars or walk up from town. It is a short up hill walk, but an adventure to see the so many things along the way!
