the lanes for this lane one from the United Kingdom is Cambridge lane two the second local crew from Split lane three Jagalonian lane four and lane five from the Netherlands is Amsterdam [Music] amsterdam a reminder of the progressions the first two secure spots in the A final three and four in final B and the final last place is eliminated and the drone proceeds with haste up to the start to heat followed no relaxing They comfortably secured their final position a final the crew from Amsterdam in lane five and four are taken by the crew in lane four Z from Croatia and lane two split the local contesting the B final and looping home lane three is the crew from Jagalonia [Applause] crossing the line a distant fifth place and eliminated this competition from Jagal a reminder of the results of that race in first place was taken by University of Cambridge second place and the final spot in the A final taken by Amsterdam with Zlit to Croatia crews team B final together and fifth place Chev temperature [Music] also and the completion of that final means that the days for final A are complete the wins across the top three heats first in each of them is the Holy Trinity the hottest threesome on record it’s Cambridge Oxford and Arkham facing each other for the win in the student men’s event [Music] [Applause] joining me now is Joe Travis joe tell me about your race well it was an unbelievable start from us i think the crew from the Netherlands they not off but we settled down to a pretty nice like chill rhythm and just walked away from the field but you know lovely day for us so well hung in the crew from the Netherlands talk about your race that what was your strategy going in um so we wanted to have a nice controlled start you know not overwork the boats too much but make sure that we get to that rhythm we’re really sending it through efficiently together like super in time with the shell and I think we delivered on that pretty well but I think we’re going to have to step it up to the final and what are your feelings going in how are you going to have to approach the star line of the final how is it going to compare to the semis today um I’ve got my headphones so I’m just going to take myself off and probably just listen to some music to get um you know fired up for this but I think we’re just going to come together as a crew and you know hopefully just put our best performers out there and do you think the surroundings do you think being in split means that you step up a level yeah I think I think the atmosphere is second to none i’ve never rode in a place like this before um it it really just makes the whole event like super super special it just it just means so so much to be here representing Cambridge thank you very much Joe
