Japan’s BIGGEST Tourist Scam!
would you fall for this scam I see a lot of people planning a trip to Japan asking are there scams I need to watch out for while I’m here and the answer to that may not be what you think after being addicted to YouTube videos of locals in Italy or France who go around busting scammers on the street for grips like giving tourists fake jewelry and then demanding money I can say there’s nothing really like that in Japan but there is one large scam targeting tourists specifically foreign guys to break down the scam these are touts their staff who are outside their bars or restaurants trying to pull you in there are legit touts but then there are the scammer touts scammer touts will pop out of nowhere trying to get you to follow them back to their amazing bar but when you get to the bar there are no prices on the menu and a group of girls may join your table and gas you up and at the end the guy gets stuck with everyone’s food and drink Bill and one beer can cost something outrageous like $15 or there’s the simple and quick method you get roofied and robbed I’d say this is a pretty avoidable scam if you’re antisocial like me or just exercise some common sense so what do you think

How do you tell the differemce between a legit tout and a scam one?
Avoid the Nigerian touts and you will be mostly ok. Of course the video will NEVER specifically point this out when talking about scammy touts..
I don't drink or do drugs and I'm definitely not an influencer, so Japan is perfect for me to visit.
$15 for a beer is not really not that outrageous. And I dont think you know what antisocial means 😂
I don't dispute your claim about the touts and the bars though. They are horrible. I wish Japan would ban these things and clean up the streets a bit 😂
I fell for this scam in Yakuza Kiwami 😭
My main reason of changing my mind about going to Japan. I'm never gonna go there my whole life.
The avatar drew me in
When i don't see any price's I refuse to purchase anything from that store/bar/restaurant
there's a rumor that some random loan office ran by some guy wearing a purple suit, gives away money with no interest or down payment
but in order to get the money you have to win his tests which is meant to put you to your absolute limit, you can only do this once in a lifetime and he's real cool imo, i asked for nothing more than 100 yen and he just gave me the money anyways because i'm that cool
and he's into kicking dudes i guess but we don't talk about that
Key wording "common sense"
Um, this has been going on in many countries for multiple decades. If not centuries.
I feel like anything that is "nomihodai" or all you can drink is a scam. Or at least, the fine print will be something like: "All you can drink highballs, but extra for beer". Or they may have a fee you have to pay just to sit in a bar or restaurant, and then you get free snacks.
I've had a scary experience like this in Fuji. A group of 2 guys and a girl who seemed to be friends invited me to hang out and I said I was looking for karaoke. And they invited me to some random place and a guy who looked like yakuza came up to me and tried to drag me into an elevator.
but are those scammers Japanese?
"1 beer can cost something outrageous, like 15 dollars" 😅
Here in Norway thats about standard price 😅
this is a common Yakuza tactic, they do not just target tourists though. You should also watch out for businesses near your hotel if a lot tourists book there. they purposely raise prices try comparing prices with places away from area first.
i have a question<<< i didn't go out of my country< because the airplane tickets is so expansive! i wonder how those people can pay the +1000 dollars ticket to japan? and also japan is an expansive country how you can afford all those things?
Am i the only one WHO noticed the Godzilla statue?
Get roofied and mugged… nice
Fake
Your video sucks.
Awesome, but just a clarification: it's not the "Locals" who are doing scams in Italy or France 🙂
But in reality, its no different than any other country. Scammers in every country.
