I’ve been living in Hannover for years, and I’ve walked past these statues more times than I can count.
But today, for some reason, I actually stopped β€” and looked.
These giant, colorful women are called Nanas, created by French artist Niki de Saint Phalle in the 1970s.
They’re fun, strange, and surprisingly famous.
This is what I saw β€” and what I thought.

If you’re into honest, simple travel moments like this, you’re in the right place.
