In February 2019 me and my girl made a decision to travel to Japan!

Wow, our first time in Japan! So we packed our suitcase with the most necessary things, above all, my favourite tool on any journey! The GoPro Hero 7 Black. I sold my beloved GoPro Hero 5 Black which helped me on many journeys to keep wonderful memories, but the hypersmooth mode of the GoPro Hero 7 Black was a feature i thought i must have!

Although i had the GoPro Karma Grip with me to make the hypersmooth even more smoother, it didn’t work out, because i forgot to update the GoPro Karma Grip and there was no connection to it. What a pain… I thought!

So i stowed the GoPro Karma Grip, turned on 2.7K, Linear Mode with Hypersmooth on, to get a more cinematic look (as far as this is possible on a action camera) and filmed all without any other stabilization. I think it worked out very well and the results are gorgeous! I managed to shoot wonderful material with the hypersmooth stabilization of the GoPro Hero 7 Black without the GoPro Karma Grip!

Our beautiful Japan travel video, shot on the GoPro Hero 7 Black, packed in 3 minutes pure passion and underlined with the beautiful song of the Radwimps – Sparkle.

I hope you have fun watching my video and can dive digitally into the feeling of the land of the rising sun – Japan. We visited Tokyo, Kamakura, the Izu Peninsula, Mount Fuji and surroundings, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara Park, Nikko and much more!

In our Japan travel video you will experience the view of Tokyo out of our Hotel room, the shrine (entrance) to the Shiba Park, the Sensoji temple and the people around, the famous Shibuya Crossing, Cherry Blossom (or Sakura in japanese) in the Shinjuku Gyoen National Park, Kamakura, the beautiful scenerey of the Jogasaki Coast on the Izu Peninsula, Kawazu Nanadaru Waterfall, the beautiful view of the Shirahama Beach Shrine on the Ocean, Koganezaki Cape, a relaxing bath in a traditional japanese Ryokan (Onsen Bath), Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine in Kyoto, Kiyomizu Dera temple, a artist drawing on the Tetsugaku no Michi – the philosophers path, me feeding a deer in the Nara Park, Nikko and the biggest Daibutsu, Arashiyama, the coastline of Japan, and the skyline of Tokyo.

I tried to design the video in a way, so that you can see and feel Japan like i did – from my point of view. This is not just a travel video, it is my kind of documentary of life, with a touch of tips and a personal diary of this amazing journey!
