Famed for its beaches (and hilly city limits), this South Korean port city is a popular tourist destination. Cable cars, more fun!
Songdo Sea Cable car was reborn as the brand of Busan Air Cruz in June 2017 through a restoration project to revive the old reputation of Songdo Beach, Korea’s first public beach.From Songlim Park east of Songdo Beach to Amnam Park west of Songdo Beach, you can enjoy the thrill of being in the middle of the sea, as well as Songdo Beach, Busan Yeongdo and Namhang Bridge, Songdo Coastal Dulle Road, and the surfacing cliffs.In addition, it offers the best of its kind as a tourist cable car through various experience facilities and theme facilities, such as “Dino Adventure,” the first cable car musician in Korea, “Songdo Spellmeyer World,” and “VRSky Wing,” Asia’s first public passenger.
A total 39 cable cars with the capacity to hold 8 people will run for 1.62 kilometers from Songnim Park on the east side of the beach to Amnam Park on the west side. Crystal cruise with 13 cable cars with a transparent floor will give riders a thrilling experience.
The cable car runs 86 meters above the sea and offers great views of Amnam Park, Namhang and the Yeongdo coastline. The night view around Songdo Beach is also magnificent.
The cable car operates daily year-round. The hours and the cost of the ticket are provided below. One-way travel time takes up to 8 minutes and 30 seconds.
Songdo Doppelmayr World Museum located at Songdo Sky Park (upper station of the cable car) in Amnam Park opens to the public as the first cable car museum in Korea.
