Explore the Digital Art Museum, Conveyor Belt Sushi, Yokohama, and more! Discover one of the BEST Instagram spots in Tokyo, Japan!

Along the way, we’ll show you some of the top things to see, do, and eat when you visit Tokyo! All while on a budget.

My friend Corinna and I continue our journey to find more of the top things to do in Japan. Along the way, we try to find the best deals on everything to make traveling more affordable and accessible to everyone!
You have to go to Genki Sushi when you’re in Japan! The sushi is sooo delicious and very affordable. There are several locations, but we went to my favorite location in Shibuya. Genki Sushi is “conveyor belt sushi”, which means you order from a computer screen at your seat. No waiters involved! Your food then comes out to you on a tray on the conveyor belt. My favorite is the hamburger sushi…TRY IT. It can get very busy so plan on waiting. The whole experience is so much fun. Go to Genki Sushi!
Next, we head to the Digital Art Museum: EPSON teamLab Borderless in Odaiba. This is one of the coolest things we did in Tokyo and it’s made for Instagram. Tickets may sell out, so make sure to buy them in advance online (link below). I am not big into museums, but this definitely isn’t your typical museum. We spent about three hours there because there is so much to see. There are multiple rooms and each has different types of light shows. As their website says, it’s “a group of artwork that form one borderless world. Artwork moves out of rooms, communicates with other works, influence, and sometimes intermingle with each other…”. Not sure if that’s a bad translation, but it’s hard to put in words exactly what this museum is all about. It’s very interactive, so you will not get bored!
Finally, we take a short trip to Yokohama, which is about 30 minutes south of Tokyo by train. It’s Japan’s second largest city and more laid back than Tokyo. It’s still fun and really beautiful!
First, we visit the two story Ramen Museum. Upstairs is the museum area, where you can learn more than you ever thought you could about ramen. Downstairs is a streetscape replication of 1958 Japan, and this is where the nine ramen restaurants are located. It was a cool experience, but I recommend going to the CupNoodle Museum. Unfortunately, it was closed when we were there, so make sure to check their website for hours. One of the coolest things about the CupNoodle Museum is that you can create your own CupNoodle ramen. You get to design the cup and the actual ramen flavor itself.
This is only three of the many things to do in Tokyo. More Japan vlogs coming soon! Hope you enjoy 🙂
