Hello, good afternoon from Hanoi, it’s now is 1:00PM I’m going to the Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) To catch a scheduled flight to Kuala Lumpur with AirAisa which is the first carrier I fly with I planned a trip to Malaysia for 8 days 7 nights to visit its capital Kuala Lumpur & Melaka city (formerly Malacca) Noi Bai International Airport (IATA code: HAN) Departure Hall, Terminal T2 Noi Bai Airport currently has two main passenger terminals: T1 (domestic) and T2 (international) Terminal T1 serves domestic flights for carriers such as Vietnam Airlines, Vietjet Air, Bamboo Airways, Pacific Airlines (formerly Jestar) and newly established Vietravel Airlines While Terminal 2 is dedicated to international flights with many airlines such as Vietnam Airlines, Korean Air, China Airlines, Japan Airlines,… Terminal T2 is located on the east side of the airport, completely separate from Terminal T1 Terminal T2 started construction in December 2011 and was officially completed and put into operation on December 25, 2014. The traveling time from the airport to the city center and vice versa is about 40-60 minutes depend on the traffic situations The check-in counters of Vietnam Airlines (the national carrier of Vietnam) on the left You can easily reach the airport by bus, private car, ride-hailing services (Grab, Xanh SM…) Noi Bai is also the Vietnam’s second largest airport after Tan Son Nhat airport in Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) The design capacity of Noi Bai International Airport is planned to be 55 million passengers per year in the period 2021-2030 And is expected to reach 85 million passengers per year by the year of 2050 In 2024 Noi Bai Airport was welcome 30 millions of passengers AirAsia’s Check-in counters I will fly back to Vietnam but landing in Saigon (Ho Chi Minh city) instead of Hanoi after the vacation The estimated departure time at 3:30PM and arrives at Kuala Lumpur airport at 7:50PM local time Security notice / Baggage Restrictions & Disclaimer I personally like to check-in at counters done by staff rather than at the self-check in machines I purchased a piece of checked baggage when I booked my ticket Because you are only allowed to bring one suitcase up to 7kg and one carry-on bag when flying with low-cost airlines So, it is the best way if you buy a prepaid luggage to avoid trouble when boarding My boarding pass with the window seat 27A Heading to Third Floor – 3F: VIP lounge, cafe, business and premium service areas It’s time to spotting There is a public area where offers a great panoramic view of the airport A Singapore Airlines A350 is pushing back Another giant aircraft Airbus A350 operated by Vietnam Airlines with its signature blue livery Vietnam Airlines owns 14 A350 in its fleet The A350 aircraft has outstanding advantages such as high safety, new technology engines that help save fuel, large passenger cabin as well as luggage compartments, and modern entertainment systems I flown with it on the route Hanoi – Ho Chi Minh city, you can find the detailed trip report in the FLIGHTS playlist The Cafe serves drinks, meals with spacious, even live music performance In the distance is an Airbus A321 operated by domestic carrier Vietjet Air in striking red-yellow livery, just landing An Airbus A321 by Bamboo Airways (another domestic carrier), also just landing Some information about Vietnam Airlines A350 Maximum distance range (km): 14,350 km (8,250 nmi); Total length: 66.89 m; Wingspan: 64.75 m; Height: 17.05 m Cruise speed (km/h): 901 km/h On the right is Vietnam Airlines B-787 was just landing Close up: Impressive A 787-9 prepares to parking and drop off passengers Vietnam Airlines currently operates 11 Boeing 787-9 aircraft and 5 Boeing 787-10 aircraft.
