From Europe to Africa in Just 1 Hour! ๐ฒ๐ฆ
Hey yo, what’s good my G’s? Today we’re going from Aliras to Tarifa. There’s a bus going to Tarifa from Alhikas in at 10:30 station 4. I guess you have to buy tickets over maybe over here. Hola. Um, ticket to Tarifa. Okay, gracias. Hola. Hola. Ticket to Tarifa. Oh, in the bus. Okay, gracias. So, I have to get a ticket in the bus. Hola. Um, I want to buy ticket to Tarifa. I can buy in the bus, right? Tarifa and then boo. Cash and boo. Ah, cash. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Gracias. This one. It’s at number four. And it’s leaving in about 20 minutes. So, I guess it’s this one. Ah, yes. Alira Tarifa. Oh, I hope it’s not too full. Hola, Tarifa. Okay. Okay. Gracias. Look at the way house. Wow, look at that. And over there you can see I think you can see Morocco over there. Very beautiful. And we’re finally here in Tarifa. I have the feeling that uh I got out one station too early because it’s still like 10 minutes walking towards the port to our ferry to Morocco. Dear, this must be the first cactus I’ve seen in Spain. I thought Spain would be full of cactus or cacti, but this this is the first one. And it has a funny little face. Oh, a random castle. Oh, that’s cool. Oh, wow. Look at that very aqua blue water at the beach. So beautiful. I think they have aqua blue water like this in Tanga as well. You guys are probably wondering why do you go to Tanger from Tarifa and not Alakiraas? Well, because Alhakiraas doesn’t go to Tanger city center. the ferry from Tarifa. It goes straight to the city center of Tanerville. So, it’s way easier. I only have to walk like 20 30 minutes to my hotel from the ferry in Tanger. I don’t really know how the public transport works in Morocco yet. I thought, you know what? Let’s just make it easy on our arrival in Morocco and then we’ll figure out how everything works. I already kind of know how the public transport works in Spain. So, that’s why I thought, you know, let’s do it like this. And also, I see more cities. I saw Aries and I saw Tarifa. If I did not go to Tarifa, I would not see the beautiful aqua blue beach. Puerto Tarifa. And some cool looking castles over there. And a lot of wind in my face blowing my hair all around. Look at this. Wo wo. Looking for the entrance to the port because I don’t really see it. The only thing I see is this beautiful looking castle over here. They just randomly spawn. Esta access. Oh, maybe. I thought this was the port, but this is just a beautiful beach. Where to? It must be this one, right? Tarifa entertain. I can just wait here. I already have boarding. Yes, boarding pass. I can see. Yes. Okay. So, they said they have a ferry at 12. So, we can just take this one. Why not? Let’s just be early. Well, that was easy. Just gone through security like within a second. Actually, my ferry was about to leave at 2:00 p.m., but it said, “You know what? Uh, there’s one at 12:00 p.m. Do you want that one?” I said, “Yeah, okay, sure. Let’s go.” Now, I’m 2 hours earlier. I don’t know what time I can check into my hotel, though. Maybe they will be chill, but this wind is crazy, guys. Anyway, this is my ferry, the Maria Dolores Faleta, going to Wait, is that Spider-Man? the ferry going from Tarifa to Tang and it’s leaving in 10 minutes. So, uh, I’ll hurry a little bit. Ah, we’re here. What is this? They gave me like a form to fill out name. All right, guys. We made it. We’re on the ferry from Tifa to Tangier. It’s a pretty big ferry. Luckily, I have a lot of leg room. Good spot. Just went through customs. just had to fill out a little form and I can stay 90 days because I have a Dutch passport. I’m not flexing but I don’t know how long I will stay in Morocco. At least like 2 weeks maybe like that and maybe three but I can stay 90 days and after that I will start my actual Europe trip because this Portugal and Spain trip this was just like a little preview. No, after I finish here in Morocco I will probably only stay in host unless there’s like hotels want to sponsor me. you can just hit me up and you know I have a email address just down below you can just hit me up you know anyway the funny thing is the ride from Tarifa to Taner it takes exactly 1 hour exactly 1 hour and we left at 12 and we will also arrive at 12 so it’s actually 0 minutes because the time is going back or forward or back I don’t know we will arrive early it’s like 30 minutes walk from the ferry to the hotel we got a very good hotel this must be the best hotel that I have for This entire trip must be because I paid a lot of money for it. Have breakfast included as well. So from now on, it’s just going to be chill for a few days until our actual journey starts. Tanger City, we’re here. Look at the water already. Aqua blue. Oh no, the lines are back again. G Maritim, we’re officially in Morocco. You can see the Arabic letters already. I think we have to go that way. That’s the city. Just walk. Maybe I’ll take a Karim. Who knows? But we’re going to get some food first because my check in again is at 300 p.m. and now it’s 12:30. So yeah, let’s just get some McDonald’s or something. And how did we just spawn here at the McDonald’s here in Morocco? McDonald’s. We’re here. All right, we got a lot of food. First off, we got these fries. M tastes like twister fries. We also got some ketchup, but I don’t really like ketchup. Then we got the wrap. Just a small chicken wrap. I think this one is with honey. Honey mustard. Yeah. Really good. The Mac flavor fries. Ooh, look at that. This one should have the Algerian sauce. Even got a little fork for it. Try it. Algerian, dried onions. M. It’s nice sauce. The burger. What What burger was this again? I forgot. Oh, this was just a chicken burger with cheese. I like it. It’s different than a cheeseburger. Let’s wrap the world. Oh, look at this one. And the mac wrap chicken also with the Algerian sauce. Look at that. The big boy. Oh, I like the Algerian sauce. I just wish they had like a Moroccan sauce, but this one is good as well. And we got the drink, the mojito. Oh, really refreshing. Okay, now stop watching me eat, guys. Leave me alone. And if you’re thinking like, “Hey yo, Gio, gee, how do you already have internet? You didn’t even buy a SIM card.” It’s because I use a eim, guys. Come on. It’s 2025. We can use eims. We don’t have to buy a physical SIM card. For example, I use Aerolo. I have a referral code for that in the description if you want to use that. You don’t have to use it, but if you do, use my referral code so I earn a little bit of money so you can support me. And that’s how I find my way to the McDonald’s. That’s how I find my way to the McDonald’s to the hotel. That’s how I spawn everywhere. This is the view that we have here at our hotel, the Kenzie Solazur Hotel. Kenzie Hotel Group. That’s the hotel we booked. And this should be the best hotel from our entire trip until another hotel decides to sponsor us a better one. I think this is the best view of the entire Tanganger. Just ignore that construction over there. There we have them the Moroccan flags. who are waiting for them. Four Moroccan flags, one Saudi flag, and I cannot see what the other flags are. One European Kenzie Solazur Hotel. Look at this. It’s really busy. Still not 3:00 p.m. yet, so we cannot check in, but they have a currency exchange. So, let’s exchange some euros. Can I have a exchange euro? We don’t have dams the same. Oh, it’s okay. There is office change than this second street. Okay. Uh can I check in with you or I have to go here? Yes. Because it’s not 3 p.m. uh yet. If the room is clean, I will give it to you. Okay. Uh I will give you my passport. So the room it’s already paid. Yes. Tourist tax. Okay. Yes. Uh you don’t have dams or something like No, no, no, no. In hotel they don’t accept this. Oh, really? You have change for me in dam. Okay, thank you. 30. Yes. And this one, don’t forget. Okay. Yes. Second floor 209. Okay. So, just for information. Yes. Here in Marco filming. Mhm. Uh, it’s something illegal. It’s not like uh I cannot film everywhere. You cannot find everywhere. You You think it’s okay? I film this? Yeah, it’s okay. No problem. Outside. Police can come. Uh there is some people they don’t want to be finished. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Shukr Safi. Shukram. We’re on the second floor. Room 129. Oh, it looks exciting already. Let’s get the elevator. 129. Ah, I have to go to the right. This way. So, everybody keeps telling me that I have to be careful for filming here in Morocco. He actually said that it’s illegal. I didn’t know about that. 129. It’s this one. Excited for this. Yes. Oh, I have to put a key card here as always. Okay. Put this in the bags here. Okay. Little room tour again, I guess. Okay. This time, let’s start off with the bathroom. We’ve got this one again. The light. Oh, it’s not as cool as in Portugal. Still cool. Uh, the thing looks nice. It’s like clean. Well, it’s not really clean, but you know what I mean. Uh, what is this? Two toilets. Why is there a toilet and a What’s this? What? To clean your bum. Then we got a shower with the basic necessities, of course. Towels. It’s not a big shower. The bathroom is It’s not super big, but I would say it’s fine. It’s perfect. How do I open this door again? A mirror. Yo, what’s good in the hoodie? Got a nice little desk instead of like a cabin next to the bed. That’s nice. Big TV. Do we have Netflix? No, we don’t. Of course, they have room service, a safe. They have a mini fridge with nothing inside. Come on, man. Seems that everything here in Morocco is in French. Probably because they were like a French colony. Ooh, I can do my editing here. This is cool. Nice little chair. I’m actually going to use this. And let’s check out the view. Uh, let’s check out the view. Oh, another another window. Come on. Why doesn’t it open? Does it not open? I don’t think it opens. Anyway, the view. We got the beach here. Beautiful mountain over there. Beautiful blue aqua sea. Fortunately, I cannot hang out of the window. Ah, air conditioning. It looks like a old school kind of. Yeah. Does it work though? Come on. Yes, it works. We got water. We got the Oh, no. Actually, it’s this has water. I hope they will refill that every day. We do have breakfast included, so that’s exciting. Am I going to jump on it? Of course I am. Okay, after a long day of going uphill, I mean, everything will be good. And now I will do nothing all day long. Just lay in my bed editing videos. I have so many videos to edit. I’m so tired, guys. But I’m doing this for the travels, for the fun. Tomorrow, we’re going to exploro Tangiero. So, if you want to watch that vlog, click hero. Yeah, I’m cringe. Don’t subscribe. [Music]
This episode marks a huge shift in the journey from the sunny streets of Spain to the colorful chaos of Tangier, Morocco. Itโs the kind of travel day that captures everything: crossing borders, discovering new cultures, and diving headfirst into unfamiliar flavors and experiences.
We kick off the day by taking the bus from Algeciras to Tarifa, a small Spanish port town perched at the southern tip of Europe. The scenery along the way is stunning endless coastline, rolling hills, and the anticipation of something new just across the water.
Once in Tarifa, I explore the town on foot while making my way to the ferry. The vibe here is super laid-back surfers, cobbled streets, and salty sea air. Then, itโs time to board the ferry to Tangier. Crossing the Strait of Gibraltar by sea is an iconic travel moment. In under an hour, you go from Europe to Africa, and that cultural shift is immediate and electric.
The first stop after arriving in Tangier, Morocco? A surprising one Moroccan McDonaldโs! I try several menu items you wonโt find anywhere else: localized flavors, unique sauces, and McArabia-style sandwiches that reflect Moroccan tastes. Fast food might not be traditional, but itโs a fascinating lens into modern local culture.
Then the vlog takes a luxurious turn. I check in to the Kenzi Solazur Hotel, a seaside 4-star resort overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The $150 Tangier hotel room tour shows off the blend of Moroccan decor with international comfort plush bedding, ocean views, and upscale amenities.
This vlog is the bridge between two continents, capturing the excitement of crossing into a new culture while still enjoying the creature comforts of a high-end stay. Itโs a perfect mix of budget transit, cultural contrast, and luxury travel.
