“The New Bali? This Southeast Asian Paradise Is Winning Over Tourists” | SavannahLand Travel Videos

[Music] are you dreaming of your next tropical escape and wondering whether Bali is still the paradise it once was In this video we’ll explore a place that just might be the new Bali [Music] What if there was a destination just as breathtaking just as culturally rich but even more untouched by mass [Music] tourism Barley has long been a favorite famous for its stunning beaches vibrant culture lush rice terraces and legendary hospitality [Music] Every year millions of travelers from around the globe make their way to this Indonesian island [Music] paradise But here’s the truth Bali’s popularity has come at a cost With the tourist boom in full swing the island is beginning to show signs of strength Crowded beaches traffic jams overdeveloped tourist hotspots are becoming the norm So let’s take a closer look at the impact of this rapid growth in tourism [Music] For many western travelers Bali offers the perfect mix Exotic cultures affordable flights and iconic Instagram spots like Heaven’s Gate Add to that luxury yet budget friendly accommodation and it’s no wonder Bali remains a global hot spot But the downside overcrowding Most popular areas are bursting at the seams [Music] Traffic congestion during peak season can be unbearable making a simple outing a frustrating [Music] ordeal Waste management systems are struggling to keep up with plastic pollution affecting beaches and waterways [Music] Demands for water for hotels villas and spoon pools is putting pressure on resources forcing agriculture and tourism to [Music] compete Beyond the environmental issues there’s a cultural cost Traditional practices are sometimes pushed aside and sacred sites have been disrespected On top of that the cost of living in tourist heavy zones has climbed making everyday life more expensive for the locals [Music] To their credit the Indonesian government and local authorities are stepping in working on solutions to address these challenges [Music] I’m not here to pit Bali against other destinations or to dismiss the rest of Indonesia which is rich in untapped beauty But I do want to suggest an alternative that offers similar affordability culture and adventure without the downside of over tourism For years I’ve believed the Philippines is a superior destination to Bali And I’m not alone in that [Music] opinion In April 2025 one of Australia’s leading international airlines announced it was seeking approval for more direct flights from Australia to the Philippines signaling a growth of interest in this incredible destination Unlike Bali which is a single island the Philippines is a sprawling archipelago of over 7,700 islands with each inhabited island offering its own distinct charm which means you rarely encounter the kinds of overcrowding you see in other tourist hotspots What really sets the Philippines apart is its ongoing commitment to ecoourism The country has carefully structured its tourism ministry to protect the biodiversity and preserve its natural habitats If a destination starts to show signs of environmental stress tourism is restricted or even suspended to allow the area time to recover Aside from the big cities like Manila or Sibu traffic across the islands is generally light Being around is convenient too thanks to a well-developed network of buses fairies and affordable domestic flights When it comes to cost the Philippine holds its own and in some cases may even be more affordable than Bali When you compare the prices for accommodation food tours and activities there is little difference Sometimes the Philippines even comes out ahead Since 2022 the Philippines has seen a significant rise in international visitors And the Filipino government isn’t just riding the wave It’s rolled out a forwardthinking tourist development plan with clear strategies for sustainable growth This has made traveling to the Philippines easier and more enjoyable all while protecting its cultural and natural treasures Now let me make myself clear I’m not saying don’t go to Bali If you love it by all means go But many travelers return to Bali year after year And for some it’s the only overseas destination they’ve ever experienced But before you book your next trip why not consider the alternatives A place that offers tropical beauty rich traditions welcoming locals and fewer crowds Well thanks for watching I’d love to hear your thoughts What do you think Is the Philippines a new barley Drop a comment below And if you like traveling and learning about exotic countries you ought yourself to subscribe to this channel So till we meet again please stay safe Happy travels [Music] [Applause]
