Split, Croatia Walk Around From Tui Ship Marella Explorer 2. July 2025

That’s not the best. [Music] as you can see on the uh with people cleaning up. Uh a bit of a storm last night. Uh that’s why we canceled our trip to the waterfalls because the weather wasn’t looking very good and it’s like a heavy rain and high winds here last night or early hours of the morning as there is a lot of m and leaves broken trees in the area where all these nice cafes are, which is making it not look as pretty as it normally does. But they’re clearing up and making the best of it. I’m sure they they’ll be open in a few hours time. [Music] Okay. [Music] [Music] What’s going to be your see what it does smell. And uh as you can see, uh Explorer one is ex next to Explorer 2. Uh so that is a nice site as we’ve been on both ships. So this is something nice to look at. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Applause] Heat. [Applause] Heat. So, as you can see, there’s a bit of bit a bit of a storm. We switched over to the Osmo DJI Pocket 2, Pocket 3, I should say, now. And uh we’re heading into the city area of uh Split in Croatia. As you can see, a lot of bit clear off operation going on. as I said and you didn’t know a storm last night. Looks like coming early hours or last night so we missed it. So yeah, got nice sun at the moment. warm 31 Celsius I probably would say and uh partly sunny here in uh speak nice about my B. So a lot of West B fans here in Croatia doing the shop series. Apologize for the noise. Apologize for the noise. Uh clear repairs being done. Wiping out the tools. Repair broken items. in the shade at the moment. It’s a bit cooler. Nice. Must be gl on with their day on Tuesday. Just approaching noon creation time. made a lot of uh gooers around the debris in the water and the dirt from last night with the G with it. Nice to see it straight away. I blame everybody else like they would It’s quite nice up there. Let’s have a look. That’s the front there. Very nice people. And uh my external noise using the uh DJI Pocket 3 with the microphone for the first time today. So, it’s picking up a lot of uh external noise from the hoover as you can see. As you can see, lots of outside bars and restaurants, which makes it a nice bar there. Split 25. Lots of bars and restaurants which makes it to me look like a very very nice sunny place in the summer. First time in Croatia or not to come to Croatia and we’ve done Split and Drobnik on this tour. So it was a double bubble. It’s more of a old town area as the the buildings are changing more old style. [Music] You can see the city lot of uh mopeds in his and nice cobbled street. So uh the old town. So, uh, a nice, uh, hidden bar there. Oh, nice, uh, seating area there. See that? Yeah. Down. Nice seating area there with the foot. Still getting used to this. DJI seems to uh a bit high up. I keep adjusting the screen. Apologizes for that. that uh as you can see some little establishments uh Italian place there with Italian flag. So that’s a local Italian film food and I say this must be part of the old town as uh You can see uh couple streets, narrow gaps, bit of graffiti, but uh unfortunately that can’t be helped spoil a bit, but uh nice uh view. Some flags up. Let’s see. Red, white, and blue. flags up there. So, it must be celebrating something. The national colors are red, white, and blue. Red and white. They use uh it’s got blue in the uh flag as well. So, uh allowed to put use their uh national flag and show it with pride. See? Uh still got uh some uh debris from the storm. Drain’s all blocked up as you can see. If I pan down, we need to recenter cuz the camera’s going a bit off. There you go. Train totally blocked center. So, uh, in Croatia, walking the hill. I have not got a clue where I’m going. So, uh, hopefully get to something nice at the top of this hill. There’s a lot of people going this way. Hope they’re not just all locals shops and on the way back to have their dinner. Focus on me and uh we’ll pan around. You see taking pride in their location. So the play of Mr. Stomp coming down the street like different areas different So quickly where we go, but uh looks like some kind of open space up Yeah, I get some nice views. See coming up a bit. Some trees. You can see that’s massive flooding. Don’t know where I’m going. I’ll see a British tourist as you can tell by the language. But um on the same microphone is picking up that they don’t too close to your face. They don’t too far away. So you can see on the screen up lovely not going over bell hooks. Okay. Right. My bed coming down German football shirt. So all national. So, might walk down. I’m not going any further up there. It’s uh nice to see how the locals live and see that building we can see from the ship. Very direct. It looks like you’ve not gone very far. I’ve been walking for around about 50 minutes so far and get rather hot. So, this should not be warm again after today cuz it be too sweaty. There’s uh you can see lots of traffic, taxis. I just stop to empass massive trees on really can’t walk on. There you go. As you can see, imagine like a storm that blows through like that. That’s your answer, T. You take one of these branches and fly it through the window. Americans storm. So if you live in the America, you’re quite used to storms. There’s only branches down there. That’s come through rather bad. Yeah, I’ve missed it. look like they’ll be able to walk around and need to not come with me today. She’s stopping and reading a book and uh should come would have got this far. Look at this branches everywhere. Narrow streets, cars everywhere. seems to be going down towards maybe a crossing 40 m away showing a young girl the young person and old person. So be a crossing down here 40 m cross the road the car park. It’s quite busy down here. So the shop there, but uh something get a nice refreshing coke or something. Doesn’t change anything. So, uh, looks like park on it. Okay. I don’t know who that is. Looks quite famous. Nice. Nice portrait there. [Music] Looking on the battery. Very good actually. [Music] That’s as you say, walking back down the hill. Uh in the shade, which is nice and uh definitely in the back center of uh Split in Croatia. people with suitcases. Obviously, holiday moving around, try different places around Croatia, which not a bad place to go. queue there. Must be a very popular restaurant. That’s uh people are queuing for it. What’s it called? Cella Bella Bella something. Some kind of birthday party or something. Got some flowers over there. That’s what I was going to say. Back in the old tourist area, pharmacy, banks, shops, operation still going back on the main stretch after that uh vivid theater. There’s uh here uh the more mirror explorer 2 and um explore one is next to us behind us that is a kids based uh ship. So obviously it’s not school by this quite yet. Scotland have broke up. might get a few Scottish kids on there and they little skipping school or youngsters as our kids then break up for a few weeks probably third week in uh July until end of September and uh that’s where holiday prices go through the roof of So, uh, lots of tourists. It’s good for the economy. That’s why they’re keeping the clean clean nice and clean cuz um, obviously get the tourist happy. Walking down the street here. Nice churches around. Nice bakery there. Obviously part of my breakfast and uh took me off there too. Oh, that’s where I come from. That’s how I entered too. So there’s the old uh street I went up. So we’ll go this way. Head into town. Some more of the town restaurant kitchen square. The uh onboard camera microphone. So it’s not very good. Just uh fuel. There we are. Back where we started. Clouds are moving the way. So, I think we’ve timed it right. Swimming pool and the sun beds on the ships. Both umbrella ships close to each other. If you can see that are close together. One behind is the Explorer one which we went on only in March, not long ago. and explored to which we’ve been on on it now until Thursday and we went on it in January 2025 around the Caribbean which was a little rough at times with the sink this cruise the storm yesterday nice and Let me get cracker. So, back on the pocket three DJI and some kind of centunions and some kind of old church. Very roy looking. Games of Thrones was filmed here by maybe Game of Thrones looking. Let’s uh shut this pocket up. Every time something’s happening at 1:00 or something, but uh some work going on. Hard to tell what’s going on. Uh, there we are. She was like, “Do you want to do this?” There’s a monkey. very nice monuments. You can see lovely Games of Thrones have been filmed there. Don’t know from restricted areas you have to play. Don’t like the graffiti, but uh very nice place. That’s a restaurant. Want to go straight? Mr. Right. So, we’ll carry on. Nice breeze. Try to put it that Come on. Uh time check just after 1 p.m. traation time. 12 noon British summer time. Air in front. I see I go back home Thursday. I go over the jet lag time difference about 1 hour. Lots of ice creams been consumed. snacks because it’s dinner time. I’ll head back to the ship now. And uh Natur didn’t I reckon should be back around about 1:30 1:40ish. There’s your chips. Oh, yeah. Markets more markets. Two. Yeah. That’s right. battery level is still 80%. Don’t know how they’ve done a lot of uh recording today. Fruit market. Nice fruit. That’s fresh fruit. Is it boats over there? So, did we go the right way? I don’t think And uh that’s the tent. Seems like they’re fashion football shirts here. Wouldn’t be able to Southern in the UK. So nice looking. They need to go down and across. I’ll see people won’t stop. down a bit and uh should be back around about half past 1. Not going to hang around. Nice boats, nice harbors, excellent stuff. Bars and restaurants are full. Tourists on their travels. going about their business. Lots of super there. So, uh first time in the hot graffiti and smash Smash f. This battery last a long time. We got the uh bus station then and the train station on the opposite side of bars and restaurants. Been waiting for coaches having some dinner on the buses having a drink in the cafe. Having a beer call day deliveries of Coca-Cola Fanta be going through more branches everywhere. Bad storm done very well to uh clear it up and get going again. But I appreciate Did you get to 450? Not bad. Bottle of uh spirits in a shoe. Some kind of uh symbol from the good time. More branches on the floor. More puddles. The birds went on this stone. That’s a thick one. There’s a thick one. It’s a thick branch. Battery level still quite good. It’s strange really it not this time a season area in the park quite a few in the white uniforms like a naval uniform maybe a naval school something men and girls boys and Traffic less less busy. It’s dinner time. People having the dinner. What’s the estimate? It’s a a hot day. As we uh approach black smells like something a bit rich. Smell the fuel. two strokes. So if I do run a bit rich, I stick the old uh oil in as well with the petrol. Most of them are self mixing these days. Some older bikes shift to do it. Let’s go over this road before this barrier opens. Here we know about 24hour surveillance on this car park car park looks by the fairies or the bus station or the train station and uh explore it.
