ViETNAM w/ G Adventures | south east asia vlog!
[Music] What [Music] heat? Heat. Heat. [Music] celebrity. Oh my god. So, we just had a 4-hour drive to Hoy City. Last night was pretty chill. We didn’t do really anything in Ho Han. We walked around all day and shopped though and had our Roodles of Noodles class in the morning. We also picked up our tailored stuff, so that was really exciting. I got two skirts and it was $40 each. So, $80 for two skirts, which is not bad. We ended up going to the two ladies tailor because the place that G Adventures brought us was pretty pricey. So, we went to a different one on our own and I’m pretty glad we did. Basically, yesterday was just shopping and I did a lot of damage. But this morning, we checked out around 8 and got on the bus and just had a 4-hour journey here, and it was very scenic. But now we’re in Hawaii City, and some people opted to go on a motorbike tour, which is like 4 hours long. So, it’s a very long tour, but it takes you to all the hot spots here pretty much, but not the abandoned water park, which is one of the places I want to go see. So, that was $30 through G Adventures, and I think like half the group did it. But yeah, we’re just going to go around and explore the city. I think we have a very moldy room. I’ll show you. It’s so gross. The other girls don’t seem to have this much mold in their room. Just in their bathrooms a little bit, but we have like a ton of mold all over our room. So glad we’re only here one night. And tomorrow we are going to leave around 1:00 p.m. and we are going to drive to Funa. Yeah. Show you what we get up to today. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Applause] [Music] I don’t want it. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. N. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Hey vlog, it’s been a minute. What did we even do yesterday? I don’t know. Today we got off our night train that was about 7 or 8 hours from Funa. We got in around 500 a.m. and then took a three-hour bus ride to Hong Bay. We got here around 800 a.m. and then went straight to breakfast at the hotel and it was pretty good. After getting like 3 hours to relax in our rooms, luckily we could check in immediately. We went to the boat and had a half-day tour of Holling Bay. It was really nice. It was really pretty, honestly. And the sun came out for us a little bit, which was nice cuz it was super cloudy when we got here. We had the option to kayak for $12. Honestly, it was pretty similar to what I saw in Thailand. It was for an hour, but we only went to two spots that were like very close to each other. It was really pretty to see everything like from sitting in the water versus on the boat. But would I say it’s worth it? Not really. But after that, we went to see a cave that was included. You could wear your Birkens socks and it was fine. I wore sandals. You don’t need to wear real walking shoes. It was a very short visit. After like walking around for 20 minutes, we went back to the boat and then sailed back to the marina. Then they took us to a pearl museum and the shop where they sold the pearls, of course, jewelry, earrings, necklaces, but they showed us how they make the pearls and what they do with the oysters and all that. And then gave us free time so you could either go to the beach or come back to the hotel and do whatever. There isn’t much shopping here. I don’t know if that’s just because we’re here during Tat and everything’s closed or if it’s just because that’s how it is. I did expect this to be a little more developed just because you think Holland Bay is such a tourist stop, but it’s really not that busy here. The hotel is super nice. I wish we were staying here longer than one night. The bed is super comfortable. I napped in it earlier. Yesterday, we went to Paradise and Fongna Cave. It was $50 to do the G Adventures optional. I’m going to tell you right off the bat, you don’t need to do that. You can go to Paradise Cave or Fonga Cave on your own and you don’t need a guide. Our friends priced it out solo and they were telling us it was like 200 something thousand dong for the entire boat. So if they had like nine people, they could all split it and that’s dirt cheap compared to what we spent. Paradise Cave, you can just drive up and walk in yourself. You don’t need to have a guide or anything. Just have a taxi. My friends who didn’t come went to the duck stop in Fong and I’m super jealous. I wish I could have gone, but they got to be duck leaders for the day and fed ducks and took pictures with them and I had a really good time. So, that’s something you can do if you choose not to do the optional, but there really wasn’t much else to do in Fna. It’s just known for that. Or you can do like dark cave, which I think is like ziplining. I’m not really sure, but you had to sign a form with Gundress to do that cuz it’s like a risk activity or something. But tonight, I’m having a cheap dinner and I’m just eating instant noodles because we have a kettle in the room. Just gonna take it easy and chill because these beds are super comfortable and I want to just relax tonight because there’s nothing else to do here. But tomorrow we are leaving at 8 a.m. and going to Hanoi where we only have one day which sucks cuz I feel like there’s a lot to do there. And then the following day we’re going to fly to Laos. So we’re going to say goodbye to everybody tomorrow night which is sad. But we have like three people leaving and then at least one or more joining. I’m not sure. But see you tomorrow. [Music] Ooh. [Music] Hey. Hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] It’s literally right. [Music] Woo! Yay! [Music] Another [Music] one just popped out. Oh, you want love. You want love. Okay. [Music] Hey, we got to Hanoi today and took a 4-hour bus ride from Hong Bay. Checked into this hotel after getting up on me for lunch and it’s pretty nice, but the shower doesn’t really work for us. Just had free time in Hanoi and have a little free time tomorrow before our flight to Laos. It’s officially the last leg of our trip. I cannot believe it. We only have 10 days left. Just went shopping and bought way too many things. Lots of knockoff North Bay and Patagonia here. So, treated myself to a few jackets. We also got this little Cappy bar. So cute. But tomorrow we can check out until noon, but we have to be back here to leave for our flight around 1:00 p.m. with our flight being at 3:00. So, going to head to the airport around then. And then we are going to fly to Laos and check in and meet our new people. So, that’s pretty much all we’re doing tomorrow. Today was just a travel day and free time. Lots of shopping. And we went to Train Street as well. Coffee there was definitely overpriced, so look out for that. But you have to get a coffee to get a seat to see the train. Other than that, you could have gone to the puppet show, the water puppet show. We didn’t really feel like it. And then they just have a few cafes here you can go see and museums, but we don’t have much time tomorrow, so not sure where we’re going to get up to, but it’s probably going to be just getting coffee. See you in the morning. Packing is so rough. I don’t know how I’m going to get all this till tomorrow. Shutting this is going to be so bad. Heat. Heat. N. [Music] I’ll hold. What do we have? We are in love. [Music]
