Golden Rock in the Rain: Magic or Mistake?
Rainy season is not a good time to visit the Golden Rock if you’re not looking for any adventure, due to heavy rain, flooding, and landslides along the mountain road from the basecamp.
From Kin Pun Sakhan basecamp, the way up is by mountain truck or on foot.
The ride takes about 30 to 45 minutes from the basecamp terminal, winding up a steep mountain road.
