London Underground vs Tokyo Metro
London Underground versus Tokyo Metro the tube is the oldest and one of the biggest Metro systems in the world that is until you compare it to the Tokyo Metro Tokyo Metro system is enormous it has nine official Metro lines overground Rail lines including a 21m long yamot line if you take the London Underground add the Elizabeth line the overground TS link it doesn’t even get close no surprise there Tokyo is huge and very spread out with a population of 37 million if you include the entire metropolitan area the yotti line alone carries more passengers per day than the entire London Underground Network for comparison more than 80 million people travel through Liverpool Street Station per year Shinjuku station sees just 3 and 1/2 million passengers per day but what happens when a Metro system is so big and busy it’s a total mess navigating through Tokyo Metro without Google Maps is a rocket science the map is confusing oh and good luck figuring out how much you need to pay for your ride the fair is calculated based on the distance which you need to do yourself when buying a ticket with that said Tokyo Metro is much cheaper and the carriages are bigger
London Underground vs. Tokyo Metro: The Ultimate Showdown!
Get ready for the battle of the metros! In this video, we’re comparing the iconic London Underground with the mammoth Tokyo Metro. 🚇
London’s Tube may be the oldest and one of the biggest, but when it steps into the ring with Tokyo Metro, it’s like David vs. Goliath. Tokyo Metro boasts a staggering nine official lines, along with overground rails, private operators, and more. And let’s not forget the mighty 21-mile-long Yamanote line!
Tokyo’s size and population dwarf London’s, with 14 million in the city alone and a whopping 37 million in the metropolitan area. Just the Yamanote line alone outshines the entire London Underground in daily passengers!
But with great size comes great chaos. Navigating Tokyo Metro without Google Maps? It’s practically a PhD in metro science! The maze-like map, stations with different numbers depending on the line, and calculating fares based on distance make it a real challenge.
However, Tokyo Metro has its perks too – it’s cheaper, and the carriages are spacious.
So, which metro will emerge victorious? Tune in to find out! Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and share your metro tales in the comments below. 🌟

The word 'metro' actually comes from the London Underground's first line The Metropolitan Line.
Yamanote Line is owned by JR East, not Tokyo Metro.
And thats just tokyo metro lines 😂
Or get a SUICA and forget about tickets
山手線?Tokyo Metro?😂
Now compare with Seoul metro
China's total Mrtro network is roughly 11000 KM which is not even a total of Top 10 countries metro network 🫡🫡
Underground, over ground, jubilie line and thameslink is about half the systems in london. So its smaller if you only include partof it?
buy a100¥ Ticket, and pay the rest when exiting. easy😊
Why would you use differnet measurments? 80 per year and 3.5 per day. Just callcualt the value so i wont have to. That the reason to watch vids
Tokyo metro not difficult to navigate, and very cheap
Delhi metro❤❤❤
Tokyo metro just uses Suica card. No one calculates fares
The Yamanote line is super fast and robust. But Its a JR line which means its probably a suburban train and not a metro
Use a SUC card for the metro
We 13 subway lines. 9 are Tokyo Metoro and 4 are Toei Subway.

Seoul Metro: Imma about to end Tokyo's whole career!
London is still big
This is like comparing the 19th century to the 21st century. Oh wait. It is.
I’d rather do the London tube because I don’t like rush hour trains.
Japan train lines are so complicated. 😂
London tubes are greater. But not during summer. 😂

Nope, I will take swipe in swipe out all day long thanks.
Tokyo
This was clearly made by someone who hasn’t been to Tokyo. As someone who doesn’t speak Japanese, navigating the Tokyo Metro was as easy as could be realistically expected. And you do t by tickets every time you get on a train, just tap your Suica card.
Thameslink literally serves two london airports that are 50 miles apart (Luton and Gatwick)
Suica card?
still i like tube🙂
