Giardini Naxos & Taormina: Great Hotel, Beach, Food, Love at First Visit
Bonjouro from Jardini Nakus. We’re going to show you around this beautiful seaside town, also our hotel room with quite the view. We’ll take you to the beach and come along as we show our friend Nicole around Sicily. You know, I want to thank the folks here at the Helen Yacht Club in in Knox. They’re not a sponsor or anything, but I’ve been coming here for over two decades. Place is unbelievable. It’s really has that Caribbean vibe to it. you know, the light sandstone colors, the the ambiance is just great. The staff is great. The staff is great and so forth. This is a great place. We recommend this place to our uh clients. That’s number one. Number two, I am amazed at how many people have stopped us uh with my hat and Esther recognizing Esther and so forth. This morning we were sitting here having coffee and two people from Serbia Serbia came up to us and of course I love that. Thank you so much for stopping us. Last night four a beautiful family of four from Glasgow of Scotland uh stopped us just like out of the blue. Why? Because we give you Sicily in its pure form. We are so humbled that you guys are watching this videos and we love that you stop us. Keep on going. Listen, our job is for you to fall in love with Sicily. And I’m hoping Nicole fell in love with Sicily. So, let’s go on an adventure. These are 2, three days compilations of what we saw and what we ate. This is the view from our room. There’s Tina up there and then this glorious beach. This is the only way to do it in a hot steaming day with this right here. And I think I’m going to go into the water now. Bed and an umbrella. And this view of the beach. This little shop has great cookies, great sweets, gelato of course, and then more sweets and fee your eyes on the aranchini. And so after the beach, this is how you want to replenish. Best ever comes from right here. Best forth ever. Here we are. She’s in heaven. She’s had an anchini every day. And here’s my pure de latte bunny. You would deatte cuz I’m a purist. Yeah. What do you think? 10 out of 10. There you go. Peas in there. Yes. Peas. Wow. Open it. Wow. That’s what we’re talking about. Oh, I love that. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] So cute. Selling all types of stuff. So, has this been the best Fourth of July ever? Yes. Are you coming back? 100%. Now, you’ve traveled all over the world. All over. And you’ve just been all over Europe. And what’s your favorite? Sicily. 100%. 100%. Okay. So, you’ve been to Croatia. Where have you been? Croatia, Spain, um, New Zealand, everywhere. All over the US. All over the US. Here’s Ching Ching to them. Sicily is her favorite. She’s a lucky girl. She understand everything. Alio olio for Alfredo. And what are you having? Pasta with a fresh tomato sauce. Pasta with a fresh tomato sauce. Pasta with fresh tomato It’s a signature. If it’s not muscles, then this is what I love. Oh my gosh, look at these colors. Sunset in Knox. You know, it’s one thing to see these videos and it’s another thing to be here, to see these colors, to hear the sound of the sea, and to feel the energy of Sicily. And this is the evening scene. Listen to these waters. [Music] I need one of these. Inside of here, there’s a archaeological park because over here is where the Greeks first set up their colony 734 before Christ. And then of course they spread all over the island. But let me tell you what I’m doing now. I found this little road and I’ve been here millions of times, but I’ve never been down this road right here. And we’re going to see where it takes us. As I’m walking along here, there’s a beautiful small little river. So, the Greeks were smart. Not only strategically they found the perfect spot, but next to a freshwater river, the sea. And then, of course, Tina with its towering position, seeing everything and everyone who would come on the shores. And by the way, the Greeks called Sicily Sikia, island of the sun. Let me tell you, being here in the shade around 10:00 in the morning, early July, perfect. And this is where we came out just on the other side of our hotel. And that is probably related to Fumu Fredo, the cold river that runs up from Mountna. I bet if I put my hands in there, it’ll be fresh. Not cold like in the winter, but fresh. Here’s another beach club. It’s called Pirate Beach. And of course, there’s a cafe. So, the way Jardino Knox is set up like most beaches here in Sicily is that there’s a beach club like Leo where you pay for that bed and umbrella. And then there are other areas where you can have free access to the beach. And for those lucky in the no, this is a cute little private cove here. free access to the beach. And then you have Monetna right there. She’s fuming today. The locals just tell me this is the Torrento de Sant Venera, a cold river coming from Alcantara. Oh yeah. Oh yeah. That’s fresh. Coming all the way from Mount Etna. [Music] There’s nothing like the sound of the sea. Be aware over here in Jardin Nakus, it’s mostly pebbly. Few places are a little bit more sandy, but mostly pebbly beaches. This is definitely the preferred mode of transportation here. The great thing about the location of this hotel is that on this little main street, there’s plenty of cafes and bars and restaurants. And you can take the bus from here very easily up to Tina. Costs about €150. And then of course there’s the beach. Lots of towns in Sicily have these great maps somewhere in town where you have the street names and also some of the important locations like the police, the carabiner, the library, the pharmachia, those are important things and the street names. If you forget to bring something or you just want to shop and buy some stuff, there’s lots of little shops all in walking distance of this area. By the way, on this street right outside the hotels are a bunch of taxis. And if there isn’t one standing there, you can ask your connoisseur or the restaurants will have them as well. Inside the Helenia is such a classy place and of course air conditioned right now so it feels super fresh. Beautiful furniture. This is what you call a classy hotel. [Music] All right, we’ve got a scoop. Our friend Roberto has a new apartment for rent for a few days or a month. It’s right on the Lamare and Jardini Nakos. And the video you’re looking at right now is in July, the first week of July. So, it’s not quite ready, but it’s going to be. And then, let me show you where it is. It is right on the Lamari, walking distance from the beach, cafes, and restaurants. Fully furnished, too. Fully furnished. And a personally supervise all the uh buildout. Uh so if you’re looking for a bargain to come here for a week, a month, three up to 3 months. Uh let Esther know and we’ll hook you up and you can save some pretty good ching, too. Okay. This is a we’re talking about, so we know it’s good. Yeah. Great location. Yeah. So this is the bay of Jardine Knox and up top over there is Tminina and just above Tmina is Castell Mola. Castell mola where you have the everything shaped like a you know what uh if you case you didn’t know uh Roberto over here is the mayor of Jardini. No, that’s not that not that’s not really technically you are. And technically, yes, you are. And technically the one who have the responsibility. Well, it’s someone who’s been elected, but you just, you know, you fill the role much better there. It is the older part of Jordani, the older town where there are a lot of Italian. They used to live here. There is less hotel and more Italian. It’s a beautiful drive. no matter what time of the year. And we decide with Sophie to make a little investment there because we found the old part of Jordin really in the old part old house from old fisherman. Mhm. That the just the the people who inherited from the family they restore it for them and then because they were too much they decide to give a to give away to sell it. Good idea. We bought it. is a little one but so cozy in a nice place just few meters from the beach so you could really just standing and go jump into the sea. Perfect. They’re restoring all the n the old colors. The color from the old fisherman village like the blue, the white, the blue, the green, the yellow, the yellow. So this is how it was when when the people in the beginning they just live here. The village was a village of Jardini. It was a fishing village always. And now we’re going to park here. We’re going to walk club for canoa. You can come. He’s a friend of mine. He’s the one the one that managed everything. Okay, that’s good to know. Look at this artist lives here and he decorated the outside beautifully. And who you know who else lives here? This guy right here. That’s really nice. Imagine just sitting here. Cool little bar with this art and this view. Where are we? Where we are. Look, this is your place. Look that beautiful flower there up there. Wow. Beautiful. This place is going to look real nice with this view. Are you kidding? The view is just here. You can just sit down right on the stairs and have a coffee right here. Yeah. Beautiful. You can watch. Wow. This is beautiful. But this view, like, oh my god. I think this is the most beautiful train station in all of Italy. And we’re going to take the bus from here. Iron work is so beautiful. rough seas today. Wow, look at all the people. You come here in the winter and there are no boats. or actually a few fishing boats. And by now, mid July, it’s packed. Is this a thing of beauty or what? You ready for this? Toasted almond and pistakio. All right, let’s go. [Music] [Laughter] That’s all she has to say is m. And how was your archini? Very good. One of the best you’ve ever had. Mhm. The pistakio with macaroni and shrimp. Now that’s what you call a steak bono. We are having a September tour from here from the helenia and we are thinking of doing a late October early November for 2026. Stay tuned. It’s still beautiful here. It’s the fall harvest, so it’s going to be all different types of foods and of course festivals and just a great time to be here because it’s a little bit cooler. You may be able to go swimming, but really the fun is going to be the eating and drinking and lots of sea. I think we want to focus on that late October 2026 tour on the province of Msina and Katania because that’s when the harvest is in. will feature a vineyard, a great vineyard, things like fingerinia, casti, all the things that people in this region eat. And if you’re on the east coast of the United States in New York, Philly, Boston, these are the things you grew up with. So, as we put it together, Esther will inform you of what we’re doing. But it’s been a great time here. E 3 days of Caribbean vibe. That’s what I feel like. There’s something about this area that is just enchanting. of course, all of Sicily. And that’s why we love bringing you these videos because this is heartfelt from us. We really enjoy it as much as we are talking about it. Listen, I want to thank you for being here. Thank you for continuing watching our videos. Uh, next week, who knows what it’ll be, but it’ll be something fresh, something new. Graciata. Congrat. Ciao.

Buona domenica a tutti! ❤🎉😊
Thank you so much for this great video 🥰
It looks wonderful. I'm yet to visit Gardini Naxos. Thank you, Eszter and Alfred, with love 😊❤
Ragazzi, siete tutti benedetti di stare laggiù in Sicilia. Your video shows all places and roads where I grew up. I'm coming down in Settembre and stay as long as I can. Quanto costa affittare la stanza del vostro amico giusto per il fine settimana? Fatemelo sappere Grazie. E grazie per la vostra video meravigliosa. Ciao a presto. Marco&Aldina
Beautiful
Beautiful footage and always love to hear the original theme song! Graze! Karla in Cali.
Ciao tuti very nice video 🎉
Didn’t think it was possible to make us more eager to be there, but you did it! See you in 59 days. 17:39
Wow absolutely beautiful, so amazing, thank you so much for sharing
Thank you for your videos. I just got back from Sicily. Wonderful time.
You are in my hometown. I worked at the hotel ( Holiday Inn) at Recanati back in the mid 80's. Also worked at ristorante Angelina's at the Porto, who is run by my cousin's. I was there in May and heading back in September for 3 weeks to visit the rest of Sicily. Ciao
I've found Ramada Inn hotel (keeps changing name and owner, I believe it's under Marriott group now), close by Helenia YC, more appealing.
Ahhhh so beautiful!!! Will definitely contact you when we are planning our travels !!
As an Australian who has visited Italy for over 30 yrs I am still shocked how beaches are so privatised. In some places you just can’t see the sea from the streets as they obscured by changing cabinets and fences. Some beaches are just so regimented with rows and rows of chairs tightly packed together. It is so sad to see families who can’t afford beach club fees having limited access to small public beaches with no facilities.
Loved this video…….as all the others. Very interested in Oct. 2026 tour. Sounds wonderful.❤
❤️❤️Love this❤️❤️
Thank you for telling us when you were there. It is so frustrating to see videos that don’t mention that detail. I have always heard that July was horribly crowded in beach towns. Your video tells a different story.
In Italy it’s not a French ‘bonjour’ with ‘no’ added on the end; try buongiorno = ‘boo-on-jee-orr-noh’.
