CRETE! Hersonissos Travel Guide 2025! Bars, Restaurants, Prices And More!

Right guys, in today’s vlog we are on the island of Cree, the Greek island of Cit. It’s actually the largest Greek island as well. We’re in Hers. We’re going to take a walk around. We’re going to dive in some shops, have a drink, spot a lunch, give you an idea of prices and uh generally what the vibe is like down here and maybe a few excursion prices for you as well. They’ll all be down there. So, let’s get on this walk, shall we? So, this is Amos Beach Bar. Now, I’ve covered this in a different vlog, but um there is no uh minimum spend for the beds on the beach and the beds do look really good. Uh the prices here are actually really good as well. Give you a quick shot of the menu. So yeah, I think there for a bees club the prices are actually really good. I was expecting it to be a lot more expensive, but I do think it’s really reasonably priced. Um let us know if you’ve eaten there and if it’s any good. The drinks were good and the food looks amazing and it’s a really nice beach area down there as well. It was only a bottle of Coke and a pint of beer. It was a good pint of beer though. Oh yeah. Okay. Okay. [Music] [Music] Summer days they go shorter with every hour of every day. [Music] So I can get some good deals here at Alia on the beach as well. Nice view for lunch. We got boho as well, cocktail bar, food. Yeah, there’s plenty of places to eat along here. This one to me looks really nice. I’m properly Greek though. Argo Greek family tivera. Let’s check out some of the prices here. Any spaghetti or carbonara for $14.90. Fried soulfish $15.90. Let’s have a look at the menu. sleep even if I wanted to. Need to cherish every moment with you. So again, yeah, prices there not too bad. $11.90 for a Greek go plate. There’s a pirate. Well, oh yeah. Yeah. 540 for a pitter gear. They look amazing and they are. But yeah, $11 for a Greek girls paint. I do expect it to be more on a beachfront, but that is a really good price and you do get some good deals along there. There you are. three-hour Zorbers cruise €25. Includes fishing and stuff like that as well. Kate’s just having a little rest over on the wall there. Lord, there she is. There she is. There. Um, another one here. So, some of them don’t have prices on, which is a bit ominous for me. I don’t really trust things without price on. You’ve also got the two pirate ship excursions. The smaller one is cheaper and I don’t think it goes as long. Um, that one I think is about €30 or the big one is a longer cruise. It’s about 4 hours and it is €60. Uh you do get fed on the larger cruise as well and they do have pirate shows and stuff like that. It’s called the Black Rose 2. So yeah, €60. We did consider it. Um but we have booked other trips that are uh that we’ve just given priority to. Um but yeah, if you are a fisher and you do like your fishing, there’s plenty of options down here to uh it’s got a nice little fishing excursion ship looks amazing. Does look cool, doesn’t it? And also, most of these cruisers here, they do go off to St. George’s Bay, which is down the other side, then swing all the way around. Uh, little stop at Malia and a little stop at Stalis as well. Right, we have now made it down to the famous beach strip. Uh, starting off with there is another excursion shop here. You’ll find excursion shops everywhere to be honest with you. They’ll have the hour bar there. A lot of them are doing two for one cocktails. Um, we have covered this in a separate vlog, so we’re not going to dive into many or if any at all, but we will give you some info on them. Uh, Havana, Drunk Havana especially, they do some nice cocktails out actually and they are on happy hour. This is one I’ve not seen open yet. Beach bario. They’ve also got two for cocktails on the happy hour and extra extra large beer which I think is just a pint, isn’t it? Yeah, I think it is €4. It looks nice. So, it’s another nice area. Yeah. Yeah. Bit than a half, I’d say. I’d say they were like an 18 oz Pepsi. Do you know what I mean? Or like a standard size Coke that you get at home. Um, but yeah, I imagine this comes alive at night, but we are quite far out. So, we’re not really going to be down here much in the evening, are we? Well, it’s only €10 on a taxi back, is it? It is. Yeah. So, we might we might we’re going to might find a nice restaurant, do a review, and have a wander down here one evening to be fair. And again, another you can get all your henna tattoos and hair braid in there. They have plenty of menus on there. And yet another tourist shop as well. And then excursion shop. You know what I mean? Forget it. No, not today. So, at Bouet Cafe, you can get a toasted ham and cheese toasty with chips or salad, a soft drink or a beer. uh €11, club sandwich or a pizza, ham and cheese with chips for €13 and happy hour with two cocktails for €10. Again, some pretty good deals there. I’m not sure about I’m not sure about if they haven’t used to. I suppose if you get a beer and a drink as well, it is quite a good deal actually, isn’t it? Beer and a drink. I mean, soft drink or a beer included. Yeah, cuz your soft beer is like €4 and Cokes are about €350. Yeah. So, it’s not actually a bad deal at all. You also got El Camino here, which is more definitely more of a restaurant than a beach bar, but you know what it’s like abroad. They don’t care if you’re just going for drinks anyway, do they? So, look at that stone baked pizza. Looks awesome. [Music] We’ve got the evidence here. Tiger Tiger Club big beer. €400 milliters. That is definitely less than a pint, isn’t it? Cuz you get a pint’s 550 mil, isn’t it? 68. 568 mil. That’s a pint. So, it’s less than a pint. Uh, again, happy hour. Two for one cocktails. What do you say? So, that’ll be a 2XL. Yeah. So, pine will be a 2XL. Yeah, definitely. But yeah, happy hour there. Beer and chips. Yeah. Got good deals on. I’ve not seen this one. Shisha bar as well if you want it. The nice kick you. No, that wasn’t you. Mike’s pub. This is the second. Yeah, cuz it is the main strip. So, you do have your adult entertainment here as well. [Music] So, just behind me there is Skipper. Pizzas from 1090. Burgers from 1450. El Paradis we’ve not seen open yet. Is it open? It is open. Is it sat in there? So I’d hope so. I don’t know if this is a front which doesn’t look very open. Is Yeah. What’s cocktails? Have a look. So yes, strawberry dies. I’ll buy one get one free apparently. I’m going to take a seat and get a nice view darling and just uh have a little rest. Uh I’m not too fast. What do you want? Huh? I want to sit this way. I’m going to have a bit of shade. See, the impression I’m getting here at El Paradiso is that the outside terrace is more for the daytime and then they open up the inside for the evening. Really, is what I would guess at because the inside doesn’t look very open, does it? when he’s just there. It’s not open at all. So, yeah, that is definitely my guess. I mean, they might open this up. I mean, I doubt they’d open it up at night. I don’t know. You never know, do you? We’ll find out one day. Oh. Oh, wow. Right, let’s go in for it. Yamas, [Music] that’s lovely. Oh, that’s very, very nice. Yeah, we’ll get these diners and continue them all then. They are €12, but you get two for 12 my happy hour deal. Every time [Music] every time I have a der, I get brain freeze, man. They’re just so nice though. [Music] So, I just had to run down because there’s a bloke down there and there’s a massive turtle in the water. So, I run down, got a shot of it, and then my battery died. So, I did manage to get a few seconds worth of footage of the turtle. They are quite common around the Greek islands, the loggerhead sea turtles. So, if you’re here, I would say you you’re likely to see one. We’ve never been to Greece and not seen a turtle now. No, I haven’t seen a lizard yet. No, we haven’t seen any lizards yet, actually. Yeah, they don’t seem to be that common, do they? I feel like I can’t remember if there’s any. There must be. I’m sure I’ve seen one or two before, but not many. So, I would go as far as to say that pretty much every bar, almost every bar along here has some sort of happy hour offer. Yeah, almost. And the ones that don’t, I don’t know. I don’t know. Like why? Zacharies aren’t usually on. Jackaries aren’t usually on the happy hour. No, you are right. But they were there, so I’m happy. So just here you got Mania’s Grill House where we got from yesterday. We’ve actually, this is our third day. We’ve had two grass already and we’re going to go and get our third on this video. So, I just love them so much, but yeah, not they weren’t the best ones there. It was nice. It was still okay, but just not the best. Also got Murphy’s Irish bar down here. So, that’s the second Irish bar. I think there’s three along here. Uh, and also the beer station as well. Only really nice jackies there actually. They’re €9 each. Not a happy hour deal. [Music] even when my tear drops start to dry. Even when the sun begins to shine again taking all the advice there is and none of it has helped experiences. Yeah. Just on the lower left you got Cameo Club. You’ve also got Hollywood All Day Cafe and Beastro. They do look good don’t they creps and everything like that. So starting from €4 for the creps and €4 per slice of pizza as well. So everything starting from 4 year is there. You got a few shops and salons and stuff up there as well. And of course everywhere has got shops and fat shops. Look at any of these yet, babe. No. All right, then. Yeah. Right, it’s time to do some fridge magnet shopping for €1. Are they any good? ones on there. As we made it to the second part of the beach stripping, I think it does get a little bit more upper class. Certainly gets a little bit posher that in there. More pizzas. They look nice as well. So those pizzas there 350 a slice for those pizzas. Now a lot of these restaurants don’t have their prices outside. So I am going to go and just quickly scan a menu and see if they are any more expensive than usual. [Music] Yeah, not bad prices there at BLV. Let us know what you think or if you think it’s a bit more than you’d be willing to pay. Steve walk by. Oh yeah. You’re so vague. I bet you think the song is about you don’t you cucumber. That’s a bit weird, isn’t it? Cucumber and onion with a salad with a beer. That’s a bit weird. But the gear plates do come with a drink as do the club sandwiches and the burgers starting from €8 in for 12 and stuff as well. So again, some good offers there. And here as well, you got some mixed fish with beers. Well, done it. So yeah, there’s plenty of dining options and drinking options along here for lunch and your evening meal. Being so damn naive, it only hurts. I’m so tired of songs that never turns out the way they do. I’ve been trying for so long, looking for someone who wants me to cliche there and none of them make sense. [Music] Yeah, shall we? Hello, you feral feral free ridden [ __ ] Right. Anyway, this church is nice though, is it? Got Pablo on the left. I thought it was beautiful. Looks like a really nice bar actually. [Music] So, I just confirmed with Kate about what we would say the average price of things are. We say the average price of a beer is about €4. And I say cocktails range from between 8 and 10 on average. Um, meals, I’d say you can get a good meal for about €15. And obviously depending on what you want. I mean, that’s just a basic average is €15 for a decent cooked meal, isn’t it? So, yeah, not too bad prices really. I used to be. I always thought the love was made for me. Oh well. I was just as blue as the sky could ever be. Just there Palm Beach Club. Free entry and we are doing a vlog there. That’ll be coming soon as well. So keep your eyes peeled for that one. A lot of these places here along the beach front, you’ve also got beach access to as well, but I don’t know if they a lot of places aren’t doing um minimum spend at them, which is which is good obviously. But yeah, there’s some really nice places to like try out and eat on here. Really, really nice. We’re also keeping an eye out for somewhere to have a Greek night as well. Um that’s always got to be to me. It’s something you just got to try every time you’re in Greece, isn’t it? Yeah, you can do a creation night here actually. So, we’re going to keep our eyes peeled for one of those being advertised as well. And I love this pup here. He’s so cool, isn’t he? Look at him. Look at him. I’m so tired of you. I’m so tired of you. Ooh, I’m tired of love songs. Love songs. Even when my tear drops start to dry and even when the sun begins to shine again. Also, I have got to put out this morning that if you are hiring a uh quad or anything like that, then please do be careful because you never know. I’ve heard horror stories about people being scammed out of like missing parts, people taking the wing mirrors off that have rented them. Um, all sorts. So, yeah, do just be careful. Make sure you check your quad thoroughly when you rent it. I’m so tired of sick and tired of songs. So, that pretty much covers the beach strip. We’re now making our way up onto Bar Street. It’s known as Bar Street anyway, apparently. Although, when I asked someone yesterday, they had no idea what I was talking about. Um, but because I can’t actually pronounce the road name. Oh, hello. Oh, it looks sad. Cuz I can’t actually pronounce the name of the street, I’m just calling it V Street anyway. So, yeah. So, this is now like the main road that goes through the central sauce. There’s plenty of shops, restaurants, bars, find all sorts down here. Um, I’m not sure how lively this gets at night. Uh, we’ve only covered a small amount of it in another vlog, so we’re hoping to maybe catch a little bit more for you down here. Sh’s amazing. I feel so good. There it is. We’re going to stop over there at the grill, but it’s closed every Monday. I think there’s something about um the Greek law where you have to I don’t know. I don’t really know the law, but a lot of places have to close down because they’re only allowed to work so many hours in a week. I think that’s what it is. So, if they don’t have the staff, they have to they do have to close one day a week. So, it’s a bit unfortunate for us. Everywhere you go in it, there’s always a wooden [ __ ] Everywhere you go, there’s a wooden [ __ ] in there. It’s a bit find a bit weird. Maybe we’re the weird ones for not selling them. I don’t know. Never thought of that before. Uh some nice little um boutique uh not restaurants, hotels along here that I’ve noticed as well. They are good central locations to be fair. Yeah, not bad. Not bad price here at downtown restaurant and bar either. Not bad prices. €12 plate. €17. €11 from Maka. Yeah, not bad. Not bad. Nice looking bar as well. Always good. A few people waiting to be picked up and taken home. Always a sad time, but we still got the best best part of the weekend yet. So, not time to get upset yet. Excuse you. You good pick 50 around 50. That’s a ripoff. Also, your price is out of sunshine. The old 550 everywhere else. No wonder there’s not many in there. I’m really starting to feel hungry and I’m really starting to need a wei as well. And I’m burning. And yeah, and we’re burning. So, we need to stop somewhere, have some lunch, have a drink, put some sun cream on, use a toilet. Yeah, I do think we’re coming towards the end of Bar Street here. Uh yeah. Yeah, let’s cross over and start heading back. Find somewhere else. And the reviews online chips have got uh yeah they use um sauteed potatoes instead of chips on their gear. So I’d been quite interested to see how that goes. Yeah, we’ll see you there. So, the prices here at Peach Pay are actually quite impressive, aren’t they? Yeah. Some of the cheapest gross I’ve seen so far at €520. So, I’m going to get one of them. Um, your burgers start from €420. Obviously, if you have fries, it makes the most expensive. If you want just something quick, a quick burger, quick or something like that. Prices are good. Pizza starts from €9 as well, and your bigger plates start from around €11. So, yeah, prices are pretty decent. So, we’re going to test the food out. Let you know what it’s like. Yeah, there’s a there’s a really cool American diner vibe to this place. I really like it. Feels proper American. It seems a bit weird. It belongs to the middle of the middle of CE, but yeah, it’s a it’s a good theme. Yeah, I love it. It’s cool. The chips are better than Valentino. really packed out here actually. Yeah. So, I’m not going to do a full review obviously cuz it’s not what the video is about, but I will give you our opinion on its check it out. It’s packed. I’ll get a bit of meat off it first as well. Oh, yeah. Still had ziki and it’s proper really nice. Yeah. Again, not homemade fries. Right. So, I’m just going to go in one big mouthful for you before I leave you and carry on the journey. Good. They’re hard to eat, man. They are. They really are. So, Peas, what are we giving it? I’m going three and a half, babe. Three and a half. Yeah. Bang average if you ask me. Not bad. Not great. Just all right. Yeah. Let’s carry on down Bar Street and see if there’s anything else that we can find of any interest. And if there isn’t, we’ll just see if we are. All right. Rooftop pool bar here at Papico Italian all day Italian bar and restaurant. There’s a rooftop bar open all day. Oh, we should have crossed that. That’s cool. Why did you want to look on that side? Come here if you want. Cross back over the road there. You’ve got the White Lion, which has been dubbed online as the best British food in her sons. Now, I’m not sure. We haven’t actually eaten any British food here yet. I’m not entirely sure what we’re going to. Um because I just love the Greek food so much. I mean in Spain I mean I don’t mind a bit of tapas but it’s not something I keep going back to. It’s not something I overly really love. Do you know what I mean? Not like Greek food. So I think that’s why like the canaries and stuff we tend to branch out and do a bit more like Indian Chinese bit of English. I think that’s why. [Music] Huh. [Music] So yeah, boho here. Do a breakfast buffet. 15 €20. 20 or also a beach. No, it’s not. There’s a pool out the back. They’ve got live sports as well. Can’t go wrong here. Lots of scoops. Can’t make it out. €3 smallest ice cream shop over there. Starting off smallest size €3. Probably one scoop. Although I don’t think it was go up to like two scoops for €4. Five. Three scoops for like €5. Um I guess I did see it was definitely three €3 for one scoop. Why can’t I get this right? Anyway, let’s carry on. Here we are. The beer house. This closed actually. Another one that might be closed on Monday is there. The beer house certainly not open today. Just over the road there you’ve got Tref which is a German bar. You can actually tell it’s a German bar. It’s advertising wonders eager with all the German beers in there for you and a Guinness for some reason. But everywhere’s got a Guinness. So yeah, German bar there for anyone who fances it. Oh, that’s lovely. Another jellyfish. Yeah. Very nice. They are. There you go. Getting spirits and mixers on the go here for €5. Also, uh, regarding them jellyfish things, a lady was kind enough to explain to me that the more tentacles them jellyfish things have, jellyfish have, the more positive energy they bring into your house. So, if you hang them up, you got loads of tentacles, you have a lot of them, and it’s attracted more positive energy into your life. So, there you go. Every day is a school day. Well, that’s pretty much bar. I mean, there is a few bars, but I wouldn’t see I don’t see why his nickname is apparently bar street, cuz it’s not nearly enough to even warrant the name. It’s more shopping street. Do you know what I mean? But anyway, that’s what it is. It’s a nice place that’s on its ass. There’s plenty of options for food and drink and everything like that.
