  1. I didn't mind following this route and doing the most touristy things because it was my first time in Japan. I definitely plan to go back! Some of the places I'm considering are Hiroshima, the Nakasendo trail villages, Fukuoka, at least one national park, and Kanazawa. There's just too much too see for one visit!

  2. that's exactly what we did on our excursion from uni πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ but much more and it was awesome. Longe time dream and the best holiday I had in my whole life! in-between we went to so many museums and art-galleries, ate food at markets and bought second-hand kimonos at temple-fleamarkets. and Nara was so worth the visit, not only because of the deers, but because of that insanely huge and beautiful wood-tempel 😍

  3. i’m driving from kagoshima to kobe (where i will drop the car off). going to stop in kumamoto, fukuoka, hiroshima, kojima (i like jeans). taking the train from kobe to osaka & kyoto, nagoya, shizuoka, and then back to tokyo.

lucky to be able to spend 40 days there. going to be eventful but i’m looking forward to it!!! leaving in march

  4. Everyone is saving their pennies for that Tokyo-Osaka-Kyoto trinity. Meanwhile, I'm trying to save a deposit for the O-henro pilgrimage around Shikoku. I've lived near Osaka and Kyoto, so there's no need to revisit those tourist traps except to experience nostalgia.

  5. Why did you call me out on my first trip to Japan. πŸ˜€ Well, I didn't go to Osaka, though, stayed in Kyoto and a couple nights close to Fuji-san.

  6. You literally described my first trip to Japan πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚β€.
On our second trip we only stayed in Tokyo for three weeks and didn’t rush through everything 😊

  7. me and my friends plan on going for three weeks: Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Okinawa are our destination. We got all of our hotels and flights booked just planning out activities.
