Hakone Day Trip from Tokyo: Best Mt. Fuji Views, Egg-flavored Ice Cream, & Pirate Ships!

today we’re doing a hakone day trip from Tokyo and they’re going to take us to a bunch of different locations I did book this on cluke and it’s the entire day we’re going to go on a like a pirate ship a cable car we’re going to get the best views of Mount Fuji okay so we’re at the first stop and as you can see we have views of Mount Fuji this is osino Hawai it’s beautiful we have about 40 minutes here but this is the views you’ll get here let’s try to go a little bit closer but look at how beautiful it is got a pond oh look at the fish my first step is to find coffee though they have food in a bunch of different little stalls so let’s see if we can find something nice a nice little treat ooh they have the fancy strawberries oh the food smells fantastic so they got shops o look at these bags they’re so cute oh my gosh oh my gosh these bags are so adorable I need I need them all look at this it reminds me of like avatar the Last air bender with the fish in the pond I don’t know it like what that’s so interesting goes down so deep and there’s like a huge one down in that little Cavern and then look at the views M [Music] pooi I think I came on the perfect day it’s like cold but it’s still clear skies and it’s sunny so like it feels nice okay let’s try getting a little snack Mugo rice cake with smashed Bean P can I get three [Music] three okay so I got some amazing photos and videos but now we really need to find the coffee before we go though there are some vending machines here but I want to see if I could find like a local place that has coffee so we’re gonna walk down this way I did buy some of this little snack that has like the red beans in it oh they have some more here hello can I get number two no don’t mhm I have successfully got my coffee this is the hawkey coffee it’s right here located next to the orange juice cart um this is the only place where I could find fresh coffee so you’ll see oh sorry oh that guy’s just tripped oh my gosh everyone’s tripping oh my good now he’s like holding on to him he like be careful so we got back onto the bus and they left our meals on our seats so they provide a little lunchbox oh wow that’s so cool you got fish rice and I little variety of things oh that’s beautiful so the next stop after lunch after eating on the bus we are at the goemba Premium Outlets so you could do some shopping there’s also an opportunity to go up there to go do the onen experience however I don’t really want to shower again so I I’m not going to do that um so we’re just going to walk around and do some shopping and maybe try some new foods here are some of the shops I actually recognize a few from America you got Hoke I don’t know how to pronounce it actually Banana Republic um but there’s also a lot of Japanese shops so there’s actually multiple floors um or I guess layers to this Outlet so we even have more shops and more familiar shops like Lululemon Converse Puma um there’s also a Lego store too probably a lot cheaper than the states and since the yen is weak I guess um your US dollar goes farther here so that’s why a lot of people do their shopping and then you could also like show your passport at some stores and get tax-free shopping oh you get a gift if you buy do you know what we’re going to buy some Pokemon cards or no 1,000 yen for something sort of game oh and you get free gifts a interesting there’s a person behind there that’s so cool okay I’m going to do it for the video can I do one yes yes one okay oh I see good I choose okay I will choose it’s this one oh thank you oh my gosh perfect I you get a little toy interesting but now I don’t know what to do with this thing do I just give it away what do I do with this H maybe I’ll give it to some kid and then here’s all the Pokémon cards that you could buy they even have like the older ones like 151 it’s only 290 Yen per pack so we’re actually going to grab like maybe I’ll grab a few oh my gosh this place is massive there is so many people like I’m actually lost it’s like separated into like different zones and I need to find how to get back up to the bus oh I have to go back up this way okay perfect oh my gosh like look at how many stores there are this is crazy like you could spend an entire day here they even have a Coleman store which I’ve never even seen in the States you got Nike oh my gosh okay let’s find our way back I also got a matcha latte at toi this is like the equivalent to Starbucks practically in Japan they have franchises all over the place and it’s good okay it is now 1:00 p.m. and we’re here at the sunen we’re about to take the hakone ropeway up yeah I think it goes up where’s the cable car we’re here for the cable car practically beautiful thank you for taking the hak we are now departing from D station toward oani station which is at an elevation of 1, 44 M the journey will be approximately 8 minutes oh 8 minutes starting from the rear of the [Music] gondola arrive at Station transfer here forck passing to return to station so we just got off the ropeway we only have thir oh my gosh it smells oh my gosh that sulfur smells delicious but here we go the hakone ropeway and we’re at odaku but the thing is we’re going to have to be fast since we only have 30 minutes we need to go over there get the ice cream and the eggs cuz that’s the best part so is like the pictures in the view um but we could appreciate that while waiting in line so we’re going to be a little fast here cuz the ice cream is fantastic like you have to get it and then if I remember correctly the black eggs which is famous here um uh it gives you luck if I remember correctly hopefully there’s a sign that tells us okay this is where you could get the ice cream hopefully they have it in stock because it is so good they do I see people eating it literally the best ice cream in the world he the line was very long but we’re coming up soon I got 500 yen the ice cream is 400 Yen just one black I I got theas [Music] Oh I thought it ran out for a second oh it’s so [Music] good we got toas package secured oh my gosh this beauty let’s see if we can see mountain Fuji oh no mountain Fuji would be right there but it’s okay I got what I came for package secured I am happy what’s the best ice cream I have 10 more minutes left so we’re going to try the egg soft Syer of ice cream now oh that looks really good the last time I was here this was closed so this will be nice to try I got theas oh my gosh it looks perfect oh my gosh it’s so perfect why is it so perfect it’s concerning perfect trying egg flavored ice cream in Japan I’m here at hakone and at the top of this mountain they have like an observatory is type of vibe with food quarts and you could get egg ice cream you could get black eggs and black ice cream which is fantastic we’re going to try this for the first time you could also get views of Mount Fuji if there’s no clouds but unfortunately the mountain is being rude okay here we go egg ice cream it looks so beautiful it doesn’t taste like eggs though I can’t describe the taste but it’s good you know it reminds me of there was this show when I was a kid code names Kid Next Door or like something like that and there’s an episode where it was about like the perfect ice cream like the best ice cream in the world and that’s what this looks like at least the golden ice cream it’s tasty I’m satisfied let’s go for a walk m m oh it’s one of the Hai guys it’s Hai hello little guy hello hello hello it’s allor right oh it’s another Hai wait why is there so many where can I get one are they selling them in the stores hello little guy okay now we’re heading back down we finally have VI of M Fuji [Music] [Music] [Music] the next stop is the pirate ship around hakone Lake um look at this look at this a pirate ship guys like pirates in the Caribbean beautiful the Sun is setting perfect weather Queen wow okay there’s indoor seatings with glass windows everywhere but we’re going to take the staircase all the way up a to the outside world let’s see Yep this is perfect we oh my gosh we’re on a pirate ship in Japan look at that the thumbnail we need a good thumbnail oh that guy almost just fell downstairs [Music] What A vibe this is literally the most perfect day see they got some seating over here [Music] [Music] okay so here’s like the top top deck up here where you could also get amazing photos at the bridge the deck the front of the boat so you could have your Jack and Rose moment just like them they she gets it the guy did not get it though precs against if you find a suspicious person or object please notify the sun just went away behind the mountain I’ll miss you son the sun is the best part what an [Music] experience hello First Class People okay so this is called like Ashi Ashi like AI the average dep is 25 M and the deepest area is about 45 M Lake Ashi is spring water so it never freezes over even in the winter Lake Ashi is beautiful all year in spring with cherry blossom summer for GRE for for and and is our tuber guide lady for 30 with the [Music] sign that is the end we have finished we are back in Shinjuku after a long day of activities I think Come with me as I go on a Hakone day trip from Tokyo! I got to visit all famous Hakone attractions in a one day tour I booked in Klook 🧡✨

First on the trip, I visited Oshino Hakkai 🌄, a popular group of eight ponds in Oshino, a small village near Mt. Fuji. These ponds are between two big lakes, Lake Kawaguchiko and Lake Yamanakako. The view of Mt. Fuji from Oshino-Hakkai are among the best I’ve seen!

Next, I went to Gotemba Premium Outlet 🛍️, an outlet mall near Mt Fuji. The best thing about outlet shopping is the low prices. Here, many stores offer tax-free shopping. You can even get coupons from the info center that you can use at the shops. The prices at these outlets are way better than those in downtown Tokyo, so it’s definitely worth a visit!

Then, I took the iconic Hakone Ropeway 🚠 from Sounzan Station to Owakudani Station. It’s only an 8-minute ride to Owakudani Valley and I got to see perfect and clear views of Mt. Fuji on the way!

Arriving at Owakudani Valley or Jigokudani 🗻, I took the opportunity to try the famous Owakudani black ice cream and egg-flavored ice cream. It has a unique yet flavorful taste, worth trying out! Also, make sure to try Owakudani’s kuro-tamago or black eggs for good luck.

Last on the tour, I boarded the majestic Hakone Sightseeing Cruise 🚢 which cruised from Togendai Port to Moto Hakone Port to Lake Ashi. The view of Hakone from the lake on the top deck of the ship is really stunning and makes for perfect photo spots. Plus, on the ship, both kids and grown-ups can have fun with 3D art, pirate stuff, and more!
