Historic OLD TOWN, Nice Walking Tour with a SHOCKING and Unexpected SURPRISE

Hi, welcome to KJ and Tony Love France. Today we’re going to take you on a walking tour of Nice. And it’s going to be a little bit different because it’s not going to be the two of us together. In this particular case, KJ, although unseen to you for I believe the whole part of the video, uh, is going to take you on the tour and I’m in the hotel doing a session with a client and KJ just wanted to get out and started filming and one thing led to another and all of a sudden we had a walking tour. Well, I decided when I left the hotel and you were busy and what was I going to do with myself for a couple of hours, I decided I wanted to explore Oldtown. So, I figured why not just turn the camera on and as I’m walking around Oldtown that I would just film and share the experience with you. I do recommend that you watch the entire video and you wait until the very end because there’s a surprise at the end. One never knows. And this isn’t a sales ploy like a lot of times people say, “Watch to the end. Watch till the end.” This is real. So, you’re going to see something unique that you wouldn’t normally see in one of our videos. This is really a surprise at the end of this video because you never know. One never knows what they’re going to discover or who they may run into when they’re out exploring in Nice, France. Are you ready? I’m ready. All right, let’s go. And two That’s up. Welcome to the bank. [Music] [Music] Did you make it? Back here again now. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Thank you. [Music] That’s interesting. [Music] Did you miss out? [Music] What is this? Quick Very nice the way that they clean up after the market every day. I would think they would have to I’ll get out here early one day while we’re here. Well, probably more than one day, and take footage of the entire market. The market is technically over right now. It’s generally only until I think 1 or 2:00 and it’s after that right now. It’s about 300 p.m. here and Tony’s in session. So, I am walking around to some of my favorite places, although not stopping in. For example, we went by the Nirvana store, which I love. I love to buy our incense from there. Tony and I love burning incense. [Music] And there’s also an Indian restaurant that I walked by and that’s a very good restaurant. We’ve had really good luck with all of the places that we’ve been to so far. All the times that we’ve been here, I can’t even remember or think of a negative experience we’ve had at a restaurant here. Today we went to Yeah, there was Lafayette for lunch and that was delicious, amazing. Tony and I really love going up there for coffee and a cold drink after we’ve been walking around, shopping, sightseeing. Today is basically our shopping free day. I call it a free day because we don’t have anything scheduled. Tomorrow we start with a variety of different things we’re doing tomorrow is our food tour. So I’m really excited about that. Ooh, let’s go this way cuz this is really pretty. As you can tell, I am I don’t really know. I know my way around a little bit. Tony is much better. I just sort of wander. He knows exactly where the nearest mono priary for. Not me. Although I think there’s one up here. There we go. This is so beautiful. This statue. The sun’s out now. This is definitely a main focal point here in Nice. There’s the tram coming up. There we go. [Music] take you around to the front. These little taxis are also very popular. We’ve never taken one. They look like they’re fun to cycle around in 20 picture taking spot. This is what it is. Yeah. over here. Let’s see. There’s galleries Lafayette over there. Oh, I think the mono pre is that way. Cool. head that way and then I’m probably going to have to head back to the hotel. Tony will be finishing up with his session. I have two sessions and then we’ll be off to dinner. There’s always a lot of ambient construction noise going on everywhere. I have found this is I think this is the park that when my parents came to Nice, they got trapped inside of it, which is a funny classic story of my parents. the park closed and it wasn’t just them. So, it wasn’t like a my parents thing. It was another couple as well got trapped in the park and someone had to call I don’t know some person with authority to come and unlock the gate and let them out. My parents said it was pretty uh it was pretty scary. They thought for for a bit that they were going out to spend the night in the park. All right. That jack does not sound great. have a musician. Yay. This is the first one. First buser. First busker of the trip. Here we go. [Music] Say for me. [Music] [Music] Okay, that was her last song for the day. So, I’m going to have to come back tomorrow. And I thought the mono pre was over here, but I could be wrong. [Music] Try not to get hit by the tram. I think I may have to stop and look up. I think the mono plates this way. So, I’m going to stop and look it up so I don’t just wander around aimlessly. Has this water park always been here or is it new? Last time we were here was back in February. This is pretty beautiful. I think I’m going to walk on the other side to get a good Nice shot. [Music] [Music] [Music] She’s Interesting. Interesting. No, some company. All right, Google just told me I am 18 minutes from the hotel, which is far. So, I need to get get booking it here since I have session in about 45 minutes. Nice Oops. You don’t want to get a little bit What is happening here? [Music] [Music] you know when I start my Is it? Well, hello. Hello. Hi. Are you KJ? Yes. Hi. How are you? Look who I ran into. Oh my gosh. This is so crazy. Was that wild or what? So, what were you thinking when you saw them? I I was just it it was surreal because as you can see in the footage and and I know it just cuts off there abruptly because I didn’t want to just be standing there and filming them is I’m walking through Oldtown and literally walk and see them as I’m walking and you know not expecting that Leaf Frenchies are going to be in Nice. And that’s what I was thinking. I was so aruck and nervous that I forgot their names because that’s how I get when I get nervous. I blank out on things like I’ve blanked out with relatives like introducing when I get nervous. It’s like a relative who I’ve known all my life. I’ll be like this is um because my brain kind of like shuts down. So it came back and I remember but initially I just remember thinking it’s Lefrenches. It’s Lef Frenchies. And as you can hear in the video, I say something along the lines of, “Hey there.” And what was really cool was when Antoine turned around first and then Colleen and he knew who I was. Like he knew who I was. So that was like he said right away he came over and as you can see in the video was very warm and said hey gracious and was like hi KJ. Hey. And um we had a wonderful conversation. I got to meet their son Charlie who is their videographer and does a whole bunch of other things for them. And I got to show them where the waterfall they were looking for the Castle Hill waterfall and wondering like where the elevator was. And so we took a nice walk and we had a nice chat and then I had to get back to the hotel because I had a session. But it’s just it it’s really like unbelievable especially when you think about like last year or the year before we were at the Eiffel Tower and we ran into other you know YouTube creators in our niche and you know we’re we’re fans as well as creators so it’s just it’s really nice when we get to meet people and see people. We had lunch with Ann and Jeff of postcards from our golden years and that was wonderful. So yeah, it was pretty amazing. Pretty nice. Yeah, I I I wish I was there. I know. I wish you were there, too. And Antoine asked where you were. He said, “Where’s Tony?” And you said, “Working.” Said working. Yeah. So, how how much more time how much more time do we have left? 18 months. 18 months. 18 months. And we will be in Nice January 2027. But until then, we have more footage coming up for you from our latest trip. We are headed to London in August, right, which we’re excited about. So, continuing to bring you our love for France. What do you think uh maybe we should share for the next video? You know, we spent a whole day walking from our hotel uh that’s built into Castle Hill, right, all the way to Vil Franchare. And that was an incredible walk. So beautiful. And even though by car it’s only like four or five miles walking, the way the trail goes, um my my pedometer told me that I went 20,000 steps. So for me, you know, that’s like 9 miles. Yeah. So we did a lot of walking that day. We saw a lot. We we walked right past what is now our favorite restaurant. So I think that’d be a great Yes, I think that will be a good next video. So, we hope you will join us in our next video and until then, abento.
