Terramaxka in Holland?! Hidden Maltese Gem
In the Netherlands while traveling I found this ster machka like we have in Malta. [Music] Welcome to the H. So this is the area uh with the main shopping street in the H. And there is Machka they call it in Malta. Some statues here. We want to cross to the other side. We will see the terashka. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] Get ready. [Music] [Music] Now let’s walk on. Going to the main shopping street. Going to the main street with all the shops. You have your shops like CNA hammer. There’s also Primark further on McDonald’s famous McDonald’s because you find it everywhere. It’s not my top on the list to go to, you know, when I’m traveling. I prefer to try the local places. So, always be careful because of the bikes in the Netherlands. Don’t stay on the lanes. There’s a Starbucks. Now toilets may be a bit difficult to find public toilets, but my recommendation is to go into either McDonald’s or HMA. There may be other shops which have toilets. It costs 50 cents. You give the 50 You give the 50 cents to the lady and then you can use the toilet. It’s worth it. It’s not um€1 like in Germany. In Germany, I think it’s usually€1. Here it’s 50 cents. And they are well kept. So I can’t complain. Other shops here like snipes or custoas media marked or anything computer or phone or tablet related or whatever laptops you want something to do with electronics you can go there. There’s also top shop. It’s also nice. on the left side if we can. So here we have media marked. You can order stuff online and then pick it up later also and pay when you pick it up also cuz I’ve noticed when you try to pay online it keeps looping and for us non locals in the website isn’t really designed for us. There you can go to winter sports berska and there’s a cousin also. You have strario the catalon. So these are more sports shops and then hans anders and then McDonald’s and there’s another clothing store TK Maxx. TK Maxx, right? And opposite we can see Primark, one of the favorite of Malties and our favorite shops. So now let’s Okay, so it’s time for me to stop the video here and I’ll see you in the next video. Half a century ago, the terramaxka, a traditional Maltese mobile organ, was highly popular. In villages, these served as entertainment, particularly at religious feasts when band clubs were not very common. Only one terramaxka, which captures this vibrant and rich past, remains in Malta today.
