On Top Of The TALLEST Mountain in Germany

All right, guys. If you made it out this far, you’ll know that we are up for part two of this video. Today, we are going to be hiking up the Zuk Pizza. We’re not really hiking. We’re going to be taking a couple different transportations. So, first we’re taking a train and then a gondola to the top. We got Holly and Waffles, the whole hiking crew. And it is quite hot today, so glad I wearing what I’m wearing. But we do have back uh jackets for when we get to the top. It’s supposed to be a lot cooler. And we did save five bucks for parking because our Airbnb is just right down the road. Our train leaves in a couple minutes. So, let’s go find where we get on it. I’m excited. For reference, the Zukbitza is the tallest mountain in Germany. So, we’re in for a treat. I can’t wait. Hey there and welcome back to the channel. If you’re new here, we’re Holly and Andrew, and we’re spending the next 90 days traveling around Europe with our dog, Waffles. We release new episodes every Saturday, so make sure to subscribe to be the first to see our new videos. All right, so we transferred from one tree to another. This one’s taking us to the base, and this is a cog wheel train. So, the track actually kind of looks like a bicycle chain. And under the train, it’s powered by a a cog wheel. And it’s going to go, I think, up the hill a little bit. This is unique. You can kind of feel it. It’s like a wooden roller coaster. Uh, one more stop, then we’re there at base. [Music] Yeah. So, you can see the the track for the cog wheel train is like a bike chain and then underneath the train is a cog wheel. And that’s what enables it to go so steeply. I don’t know what the incline limit is for a regular train, but this one definitely gained some altitude in like the 10-minute trip. So, all right, we’re going to head up to the top of that mountain up there. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] What do you think? too hot. We are almost at the top of the world. We have one more staircase to go. This is pretty cool. I think then we’ll have a 360. So, my dad was saying you can see on a clear day Austria, Italy, France, Germany, and Switzerland. Offs. Do you like it up here? What do you think? It’s cool, right? Look at the view. Look at the lake. Yeah, that’s where we started. We were way down there. And you can see the parking lot. Wow. [Music] Look at how this is just built right into the side of the mountain. It’s insane. Okay. So, you can actually hike to the very top of the summit using that ladder up to the ridge where you get a view of this. But I don’t think we’ll be doing that today. I think we’re about as high as I feel good. [Music] [Music] Okay, I think this is a good spot to do a little comparison, some thoughts between the Alpenza and the Zuka. Holly, how do you say it? God bless you. Um, so the Zukitz is definitely a lot higher. The views are unbelievable. There’s less hiking like so you can’t really get off the top and go out and explore some of the mountains and sides or at least from the summit but that’s okay. There’s a big restaurant, couple outside restaurants and the food smells so good. And yes, it is very clear. So we can definitely see this is I think this is the Austrian side. Um definitely a better view on this side. The mountains are just more grand and majestic. Um, and we saw France and Italy and Germany and Switzerland. So, Hollywood, but yeah. What are your thoughts, Any? If you’re going to do this one, you might as well get the two peak ticket and do both. It’s only like $10 more for it. Yes. And if you’re going to hike and that’s all you want, do the out entrance. So, we came up via the cable car. Um, and we saw when we got to the top there may be a way to get down via mountain train, the cog wheel train. So, we’re going to look into that and maybe take a different way down. [Music] [Applause] [Music] So, fun fact, we’re going into Austria. And actually, come over here. Tell you a little secret. Holly told me there is an Austrian gondola to the top here. Same spot. And it’s a lot cheaper, but nobody takes it because it’s not famous. But you can do that. You can come up for a lot less money. You come up on the Austria. Here’s the name of it. The wild. [Music] That’s where we were a few minutes ago over there. There’s actually a lot to do up here, but it’s also very chilly. It’s like 10° colder on the Austrian side. [Music] Well, let’s go play in this town. It’s funny that they’ve left it just for this. [Music] Doing great. Mountain climbers. Mountain. Yes. These little kids are about to show you up. Such a bad way. Do it. Do it. Yeah. You’re going to be frozen. [Music] [Music] [Music] Some poops climbed the tallest mountain in Germany today. and back down. And Waffles eat snow. Oh, she’s poop, too. What do you think, Waffles? Oh, the train’s EST. So, we we made it down. We took the gondola back down and our train back to town was supposed to be at quarter after. And we got back down at quarter after. So, we like hustled back up the hill and the train’s 5 minutes late. So, we made it. sitting on the ground, but that’s okay. We’re on the train. Again, this is cool. I hope you enjoyed this video. This railing is really low. If you’ve been to both of these, let us know which one you prefer. Um, and if we missed anything. And if you haven’t, let us know which one looks cooler from the video. And also, if you enjoyed this, make sure that you like and subscribe. Tell all your friends. We’ll be doing a whole lot more of these. It’s a lot of fun. And uh sharing our adventures with you. All right, we’ll see you out there. Here we go. Boss, are you excited? You look like you’re terrified. See, there’s a lot of doggies around. So, mom’s covering my face. Ah, that’s I would say today’s a clear day. Dog [Music]
