Nerja is a fishing and agricultural municipality in Spain, located in the province of Málaga. It is located on the easternmost part of the Costa del Sol and bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, bordering the province of Granada.

In the town center, you can enjoy one of the most iconic spots in the country, the Balcón de Europa promenade, where you can enjoy magnificent views of the Mediterranean Sea and most of the Nerja coastline, as it sits high on the cliffs.

Enjoy your vacation in Nerja by strolling through the old town. It boasts typical Andalusian architecture, houses with interior courtyards and whitewashed facades, and cobblestone streets that make it an ideal place for strolling and shopping for typical local products such as muscatel wine, cane honey, handicrafts, and a host of agricultural products.

Nerja’s beaches are well known for their crystal-clear waters. Its idyllic coves comprise 13 kilometers of coastline worth exploring. One of the most important is Burriana beach. Burriana beach is the perfect place for active people, as it offers a wide range of activities. You can take a lovely ride on a pedal boat or enjoy more adventurous sports like jet skiing and banana boating. It has three beach volleyball courts, perfect for a fun afternoon with friends. Or try a parasailing flight for a thrilling experience!

Along the promenade, you’ll find a large number of restaurants and beach bars where you can enjoy the wonderful Mediterranean diet and fried fish. There are souvenir shops where you can buy everything from a mattress to paddles to play on the shore. And of course, along the entire promenade, you’ll see numerous kiosks and ice cream parlors to refresh yourself on a hot day.
