[Music] Bangkok is full of surprises and tucked away from all the bus is a place I honestly didn’t expect to love this much. The Jim Thompson House Museum. Jim Thommpson was an American architect and a former OSS officer. Basically a World War II spy. who fell so deeply in love with Thailand that he decided to stay. He almost single-handedly revived the Thai silk industry in the 1950s and60s, putting Thai silk on the world stage. But here’s a twist. In 1967, during a holiday in Malaysia’s Cameroon Highlands, Jim Thompson went out for a walk in the jungle and never came back. No trace, no clue. To this day, his disappearance remains one of the South Asia’s greatest unsolved mysteries. It just means everything. Walking through this house feels like stepping into another era. And so let’s begin right here where you can enjoy a good view of the home that was owned by the American Jim Thompson. In 1967, Jim Thompson disappeared without a dress in the coming highlights of Malaysia. And to this day, we do not know what happened to him. Yeah. Also, for decides, Mr. Thompson also used motifs for on his collection of 19th century poslands which were made in China for export to Southeast Asia.
