No Schwanstein is a gorgeous castle in Germany. There is a reason this castle is considered a world wonder. Located in the beautiful region of Germany called Bavaria, this castle sits on a mountain that overlooks the landscape. It looks even better closeup and inside where you are surrounded by castle walls and forest. It does take quite a bit of time walking up here. When you book your tour, a bus will drive you up to the unloading spot. After this, you still have around half a mile to walk uphill until you finally reach the castle gate. Once you enter, you will quickly realize that the walk was worth it. The castle is stunning and highlights a romantic area of history. You’ll get to see a variety of rooms along with informations about each room. No one sign is a must visit when visiting Germany. You really are an american and you havent seen a proper furnished castle. Neuschwanstein looks good only from drone/plane, in reality it is just a trap.

It's a palace, not a castle. Castles where not needed at the time it was built just a good 100 years ago.
Location is very nice, but there is not much walking up the hill, the castle is nice but more outside than inside. Castle is from 19th century, nothing old. Just a fantasy of Ludvik Ii of Bavaria, like other 2 bavarian castles.
