Join me for a walk through the city of Düsseldorf, Germany, on a warm summer day at the end of July 2025. As temperatures unexpectedly rise to around 25°C during this year’s cold summer, the city comes alive with sunshine and vibrant energy. Our walking tour begins at the iconic Königsallee, Düsseldorf’s premier shopping street. From there, we make our way through the lively Carlsplatz market before heading into the historic Altstadt (Old Town), where centuries-old architecture contrasts beautifully with the modern skyline. Next, we enjoy a peaceful walk along the serene banks of the Rhine River, watching boats drift gracefully across the water. We then circle back to the lively Bolkerstraße, known for its popular bars and restaurants, and continue toward Schadowstraße, another bustling shopping street. The tour ends at the contemporary KÖ Bogen II area.
Düsseldorf in western Germany is famous for its dynamic fashion and art scene, thriving nightlife along the Rhine promenade, and its role as a major hub for finance and telecommunications. The city is also home to “Little Tokyo,” a vibrant street filled with authentic Japanese restaurants, markets, and shops.
