This is the opening fireworks display of the annual Cranger Kirmes in Herne, Germany. It’s one of the largest funfairs in Germany and takes place every summer for eleven days.

The first Cranger Kirmes dates back to the Middle Ages. Herne is located in the Ruhr region, Germany’s largest metropolitan area with just over 5 million inhabitants and major cities such as Dortmund, Essen, and Duisburg.
