This travel video presents a city tour of Olbia, a town in northeastern Sardinia, Italy. Olbia serves one of the three airports in Sardinia and it can be a base and starting point to your journey along the spectacular Costa Smeralda popular with its glamour, luxurious lifestyle, breathtaking scenery and turquoise beaches.
The city has a compact size and it can be easily explored on foot. It features two main squares – Piazza Matteotti and Piazza Regina Margherita. The main pedestrian street Corso Umberto I is the social hub with many restaurants and cafes. You can admire two beautiful churches and pay a visit to the Archaeological museum.
Sardinia attracts visitors mostly with its incredible beaches with crystal clear water and soft sand. You can find several beaches located near Olbia that can be reached either by public buses or by car – Porto Istana beach, Pittulongu beach, Bados beach, and Cala Brandinchi beach. You can also get on a boat and visit the famous Tavolara and Molara islands.
