Day Two – Into Saxony: Leipzig & Colditz Bound

Crossing into Germany today felt like a shift—not just in landscape, but in tempo. The roads became wider, the forests deeper, and the air carried that distinct Saxon coolness. With the throttle rolled on and Colditz Castle in my sights, the ride took on a historical gravity.

Colditz—the infamous WWII POW escape fortress—was a surreal stop. From the saddle of my bike to the walls of a castle built for control and defiance, it’s a reminder of the extremes of human resilience.

Leipzig was the final stop for the day. It welcomed me with cobblestones, craft beer, and a surprisingly artistic heartbeat. There’s something energizing about ending a day’s ride in a city that fuses history with creativity.

Tomorrow’s plan: Further into Germany—perhaps Dresden or the Czech border, if the weather holds. The bike’s running strong, and so is the spirit.
