Today we return to the “land of the Sirens.” The city of Sorrento is also known by this name, which derives from a legend that tells of three Sirens, daughters of Achelous: Ligeia, Leucosia, and Parthenope. They used to enchant sailors from the rocks of the Peloro promontory, located between Scylla and Charybdis, until they were submerged by the waters.
We’ll stroll through the center and through the narrow streets of the historic center until we reach the panoramic viewpoint accessible from the public gardens.
