Exploring the lavender fields of Provence with Family

This summer, we went back to the South of France, and honestly, it’s one of those places that never gets old. After a quick stop in Annecy, we headed for Provence, where we started with the lavender fields on the Valensole Plateau. Unfortunately, some lavender fields have already been harvested, yet we loved it and found some beautiful fields.

After Valensole, we headed to Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, which ended up stealing our hearts. We stopped there after exploring the lavender fields and just loved its little streets, boutiques, and that dramatic backdrop of cliffs.

The next day, we headed for Banon and Sault to discover even more lavender fields.

And on the third and final day, we explored some of the most beautiful villages of France.

The best part of this trip was taking it slow — driving the small countryside roads, stopping whenever we felt like it, and soaking up that South of France summer light.
