      mass migration plus free drugs is a winning idea for ruining a country. I was so mad that Trump was elected the first time, but I've changed my views & am so glad we have a strong leader that is kicking illegal immigrants out & stopping drugs from coming in as much as possible. Gotta just stop letting so many people in & focus on the people that make up the culture that is rapidly being washed out & destroyed.

      They legalized non-medical marijuana instead. Sure, it is the lesser evil compared to other drugs but why put all that effort to legally encourage it rather than focus that effort on helping remove drugs?

      I am 41 years old and grew up in Hamburg myself. Believe me it was just as bad 25 years ago if not worse. Then the junkies would get high inside the Hauptbahnhof all over Steindamm and Sternschanze. Literally no go areas for kids. Syringes all over the place and bleeding junkies.

      I used to live in Hamburg and it is literally so sad and honestly terrifying (specially as a woman) to arrive at the central station a after night shift and feeling extremely unsafe. I tried to get a Taxi that day and got harassed by a homeless man and had to emergency call one of my friends to please pick me up since I didnt have a car or any other type of connections + it was around 12am on a weekday so the last tram to my place was already gone. Hamburg is a beautiful city, definitely worth visiting although like every other major city it does get a bit crowded around summer time. I would love to move back some time in my life but its definitely not for the weak. ✌🏽

      Fun facts about Reeperbahn:

      1. The name comes from "Reepschläger" which were basically cord makers that lived in "Hamburger Berg" (now St. Pauli) which was a suburb of Hamburg in the 17th century.
      Since for bigger ships cords and ropes had to be much thicker and longer (400 meters) they moved closer to the harbor and settled there because they had a long straight track which was perfect for rope making. There also used to be the "Seilerbahn" (literally meaning rope track), now Seilerstraße, which was for ropes no longer than 50m and is located above Reeperbahn.

      2. Reeperbahn back then was located inbetween the cities of Hamburg (western city gate called Millerntor) and Altona (eastern city gate called Nobistor) back then, so people and businesses that weren't allowed or tolerated in either city would settle there, so they would still be close to city life.

      3. Over the years beer halls, ball rooms, cinemas and eventually also brothels would settle there so it became the entertainment district of suburban Hamburg.

      4. It's deeply connected to the sailors and seafarers culture (even somewhat to this day as a lot of seafarers that stop in Hamburg go there)

      5. The Hells Angels used to be very present on Reeperbahn in the 80s and still are somewhat present to this day (obviously connected to drug crime and prostitution).

      6. 2007 they created a no-weapon zone on Reeperbahn, because of a rise in violent crime.

      7. During the beginnings of COVID 2020 it looked like a scene out of The Walking Dead, because everything came to a halt for about 2 years and no one other than homeless people were actually there.

      8. There's a famous super market on Reeperbahn (called "Penny"). Several documentaries have been made about it and they are very famous in German pop culture, because among normal people it shows all the different eccentric and bizarre people that spend their nights there.

      Needle exchanges , harm reduction , lax police enforcement , etc.
      Current state of most countries proves these policies don't work.

Not a single cent given toward these losers. Put that funding toward more jail cells, and fill them by strictly enforcing the laws. This isn't rocket science.
