Aw John I'm so jealous. My fav city in Europe. If ya stuck for dinner try La Kahena 2 rue de republique right on the old harbour. Top cous cous!!
can we' go around Nancy
Drive north through the Pertuis, Mirabeau, La Tor-d'Aigues area and hit up the area on a market day. Much more French summer feal than the port city. Loads of towns to wander through under shade trees.
Beautiful fountain and sunset 😊
Was there last year. Have you seen The French Connection?
J'adore les pantalons de Heidi. 😊 grosses bises les deux !
lovely john – but my head is filled with that great song by the oz band the angels, now…
"Bought me a box of French cigars
Bought me a black beret
Get my French from a girl next door
Teaching me night and day…" 😊
Le Palais de Longchamp is really interesting and its original purpose surprising (to me anyway).

Looks beautiful. Enjoy the much deserved break, John.
Had no idea Marseille was so gorgeous. Thx for adding it to my list of places I must visit!
Hello, John. I’ve discovered your work quite recently. It so happens that I am in the process of doing a proper exploration of Paris (before leaving it for Britanny in a few months) and, conjointly, starting to write on a more regular basis (and in a semi-professional manner at least, if I can manage it). In these projects, I have to admit, both your channels and your blog have proven to be quite valuable. To some extent, I’ve used them as a guide, really. So, I wanted to drop you a note, to thank you, basically.
And, well, no better occasion than the moment you’re visiting my hometown. I hope Marseille is treating you well. I love the city but it’s no big secret that the place doesn’t have the greatest reputation. It’s in part an unfounded vision due to the centuries-long history-based animosity between the north and the south of France (with Paris and Marseille being the focal points of it) but I can’t deny nonetheless that Marseille also has a harsher side to it that can also be quite off-putting at times. Anyway, I hope you enjoyed the place and the Provence countryside. Thank you again for the videos and the writing and have a good day.
Brings back memories, thanks ❤
