ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!! – Rouen is absolutely stunning.
Many years ago I made a day-trip to Rouen to see a stage of the Tour de France. Fast forward many years and I’m here to explore the city I completely missed. I had no idea Rouen was so beautiful.

Looks a fab place to visit 😊
Rouen looks beautiful. I've never visited, but it reminds me of Quimper & Morlaix in Brittany.
Hi Scott ,
I was thinking of going to Rouen but I read its not very clean , litter everywhere, lots of graffiti and beggars everywhere, which is a shame because the old town looks nice with the old wooden buildings but the same could be said for some parts of Paris , how long is the train from Paris to Rouen and how many days would you recommend if I were to visit ?
Thanks
Rouen looks much nicer than paris!
I am lifting my hat for an outstanding Scottish chap! I hope you are at cruising altitude! Is it possible to get your book signed by you and shipped to Sweden? How much would it cost?
Greetings from a fan in beautiful Sweden
Wow indeed 😍… Just breathtaking buildings aren't they 🙏… Thanks again for a fascinating tour 👏👍💖
Thanks for sharing, did you film this one on VHS? Not your usual 4k quality
Great tour Scott. A nice alternative to Bruges. You mentioned a Wiesbaden tour. Do you have a YouTube link to that?
And also, you can get into the UK by ferrys either depart from Dieppe or Le Havre
A wee history lesson Scott about the Garde Ecossaise and Scotland's links to Joan of Arc:
She marched into Orléans to the sound of bagpipes. She entered the city accompanied by a guard of around 60 Scottish men-at-arms and 70 archers. The pipers played Hey Tuttie Tatie – the song that, legend has it, was played for Robert the Bruce as he marched into battle at Bannockburn.
Thanks for the great tour of Rouen, putting it on my bucket list
Terrible reason why Joan of Arc wore men's clothing; to make it harder for soldiers to rape her' unfortunately for this much bused woman it did not work, specilly when she was in the custody of the English!
What a beautiful town. Thanks for a great video. 🎉
So nice to see places without the crowds you get in the uk.
Everywhere here is so congested, our country is really way overpopulated and you notice it when you look at YouTubers videos of places abroad.
Interesting factoid – 5 times Tour de France champion Jacques Anquetil was from Rouen (or a suburb Mont-Saint Aignan) certainly a Norman anyway.
As ever Scott, a great trip & video. Rouen does look a fabulous place, so many old buildings too ! 🙂
Well, that was dull. Now come to its twin city, Norwich. Far less dull.
Nice place, just a shame that so many old buildings have graffiti on them 😢
I am a proud resident of France
Rouen Vs Paris
Don't think so
And I'm sorry but walking past apartment buildings with awful road noise hardly shows in its best light
Rouen Seine side is rather ordinary as it was heavily bombed in 1944 – Normandy invasion! Rouen lost about 2000 of their amazing wooden buildings due to the bombing.
We are lucky, having a base between the two, both are equally as good, each has its own qualities, it all depends on your needs, one is no better than the other – just different
Last time I was close to Rouen was around 35 years ago a school trip to Falaise and the Bayeux Tapestry. Lovely area
Loved this thank you Scott, you're not wrong it's definitely a beautiful place. Reminds me of Chester and York. Looking forward to your next epic adventure.
For someone who dislikes Google so much you don't half mention it a lot!
What a cool idea for a video! 👌👏
