3 Days in Split, Croatia! | Eating, Sailing & Exploring
We are in Split, Croatia. [Music] Just got to our split hotel. Look how cute. We are at Hotel Salvia. Slovia. Slovia. And we specifically booked a room with three separate beds. And this is actually pretty spacious. Normally European rooms are tiny even for like one person, but we each have our own little bed and a nice body mirror and a wardrobe, extra bedding and everything. We already have such an amazing first impression of this pa place from Nella at the front desk. It was a little tricky to get to just because it’s like hidden. There’s steps involved. We have these giant luggages, but we’re here. And here is our cute This is such a European bathroom. How adorable. Hotel Slavia. So, this is home for the next 3 days. Part two of our trip. It is day one in Split, Croatia. So excited. This is my first time. This is your first time. My first time. my second time. Izzy’s second time because why? Why do you have experience here? I studied abroad. She’s one of those Americans. So, here we go. We just We’re checked into our hotel. It’s very cute. It seems like we’re in a good area. We have no idea what we’re going to get into. Um but you’re going to see. Oh my god. By the water is absolutely beautiful. It feels so good. It’s August time. It’s a little warm, but it still feels really like there’s a nice breeze. So, it feels really good. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Yeah. [Music] Each got some fruits. Blueberries. I don’t even know what these were called, but these are really good. We tried these in I don’t know what these They look like little cherries. But look how cute. We’re be We’re getting our health in, girls. We are. We’re so healthy today. There’s a story behind these. What’s the story? Um my grandpa had these in his backyard. But you don’t know. Back in the day. They’re called I I know in Polish it’s called rurina, but I have to look it up. Sour. They’re sour. But how good are they? How did he do it? He just broke it apart. Yeah. Let’s see. Hold it up to the camera so you can see what it looks like. So yummy. Yeah. Mhm. Cheers. Cheers. Okay. Um I’m not a Game of Thrones girly, but apparently this is where scenes from the show were. I’m here with them. But it looks cool. It looks old. So, we’re just walking through Split and there’s all these little tunnels and alleyways. We don’t even know where we’re going. I don’t even understand the signs, but it’s just fun walking. All the architecture is absolutely beautiful. You see Paulina’s architecture, absolutely beautiful. And it just looks absolutely amazing. And we’re coming across the fun novelty stores. So, we got a giant duck store and then a candy shop with Hello Kitty candies. I know I won’t eat that and it’ll break when I take it back, so it’s best if I don’t. But love this. We’re having dinner at the top of our hotel. It’s very exclusive. They only stay open or they only open in the evening and you have to pay €20 per person to come and you’re supposed to have a reservation, whatever. We were there’s there’s only five tables up here. I’m going to show you everything, but we didn’t necessarily need a reservation. Um, they make it sound like that, but there’s nobody else up here. But the views are amazing. Let me show you. Absolutely beautiful water view. and the top. And we got our table right in front of the water. Okay, here is the sitch. This is the most amount of octopus that anybody has ever plated for me cuz it’s normally like two tentacles. This looks phenomenal with grilled veggies. And I also got the palenta. Paulina got what did you get? I got the salmon and it’s divine salmon and Swiss chard and potatoes. And then Izzy got truffle. Yes. And putole. That’s what I almost got, but I was like, let’s we got to eat octopus. On the menu, they have dessert of the day. They don’t even have listed dessert. So, there was two. We want this one. This is the oldest dessert and split, right? Mhm. Yeah. And we forgot everything that he said comes in it except egg. [Laughter] Very true. So, we’re going to try this. It looks so cute and decadent and let’s let’s [ __ ] it up. I have to be quiet cuz it’s so beautiful and quiet up here. So, let’s [ __ ] it up. Okay, so that was like a whipped egg, a custard, and there was like a cookie or cake at the bottom topped with cocoa. Phenomenal. When we broke through the top layer, we heard it bust like a cloud. And for whatever reason, it tastes like Froot Loops. And I’m not mad about it. It’s so good. Right. We [ __ ] it up. We [ __ ] it up. I mean, look. It was so good. We stepped out and there are way more people out than there were during the day. Maybe because it’s cooler, but they also brought up a good point that this is just the time that people have dinner. It’s 10:00 p.m. Everything’s pushed back later in Europe, but we’re we kind of want some wine or some shamps to go sit by the water, but it is alive and popping. The weather feels phenomenal. We had a beautiful dinner. So, we are out Saturday night, but we don’t want to go too hard cuz we got our boat tomorrow. It is 10:30 at night. I don’t want to put on the flash because there is so many people. To be fair, it is Saturday night. But just look at all and there’s it’s not just people walking on the streets and eating. Like people are just posted up. People are just posted up and we are. So I got I don’t want to put the flash on. I got a procco. We got some white wines. Cheers, girls. It is 1:15 a.m. and we are on our way to Boiler Club, a club I’ve been seeing on Tik Tok since I started looking into coming to Croatia. So, we’re going to go check it out and see what the vibes are. I’m sitting in the airport editing this vlog. I realized I never gave like my opinion on the club that we went to. So, it was €30 to enter. It was pretty good. Like, it was a twostory club. It’s actually really, really nice. But they play they played some kind of generic like music for everybody, but then they also played some good like music that I like electronic. So, it’s definitely worth checking out. The bottom did get really crowded, so we stayed on top the whole time, but if you like nightclubs, um we went on a Saturday cuz at €30, then yeah, it’s worth checking out. We only stayed an hour cuz it was kind of late and we wanted to get up at a decent hour the next day, but I still recommend it. Day two in Split, Croatia. We have a boat party all day today. So, that is the vibes. Let me show you what this swimsuit looks like. Look how pretty. Dangly. So, supposed to last a couple hours. We’ll see what the vibes are. Let’s go have a boat party in the Mediterranean Sea. Meal one of the day. We came to a fish and chip shop and these look beautiful. Is it good? So good. Have you tried yours yet? It’s good. Good. It looks nice and fresh. We saw them drop it in. They’re fried up. Now it’s time to [ __ ] it up. So, this is what we’re doing today. Out to see split boat party. These are the vibes. We’re already out here. You can see who’s getting on, but it’s actually there’s no sun. It’s super windy. I’m cold, so the chances of swimming today don’t seem very likely. How much was this? Oh gosh. Oh gosh. Oh gosh. Oh gosh. Oh gosh, it’s like 50 bucks each. And we got a bottle of champagne. We found Paulina found some discount code, so we got some money off, but this is the vibe today. All right, here is the vessel we’ll be on today with 250 other people. Wish me luck. Okay, we’re on. We got our glasses of champs. They’re loading up. We secured a little spot down underneath for now. We were also able to bring our snack because we didn’t eat all our chips at lunch. So, we got a little snack time for later. Being responsible giries. [Music] I am. [Music] We just Oh, we just swam in the Adriatic Sea. So lovely. It feels amaz It’s cold. I jumped salty. Salty AF. So [Music] go Izzy, go Izzy, go board up. Coming to the end of the boat partying. This was an interesting concept in a little VIP section. She’s beautiful though. But I’m telling you, if I didn’t have this little area, I would have been miserable out there. The DJs, the security guard, he’s not here right now. But he liked me. That’s why we’re back here. Um, flip it back. This is the end. I’ve seen this Tik Tok shop all I mean this pasta shop all over Tik Tok. It’s pasta to go. So everything’s in a little cup and so we’re here to try it. We are in. You see the noodles ready to go. There we go. I got the gacha. I’ve already taken a bite. The noodles are so thick and hearty. The white sauce is just creamy and topped with pecarina cheese. Yum. So good for such a quick and easy pasta on the run. Tik Tok treated me good on this one. We just we just ate our delicious little to-go pastas. Phenomenal. And now we’re on our way to eat puffy little pancakes. Let’s go. We found the pancake shop. It’s literally right around the corner from the to- go pasta shop. There’s so many people here, though. This is the busiest I’ve ever seen it. Sorry. This is the puppy pancake menu. It’s gummy but too sweet. Too sweet. So, these are all the creams and the nuts. What should I pair it with? Should I do strawberry? Yes, I will. The staff is also phenomenal. Okay, so now we’re at the part where they’re dropping the batter, flipping the pancakes, and then somebody makes them off to the side and then they’ll call your number. But I want to see them drop the batter and flip the pancakes. We got the batter drops happening. So the ones on the right are ready to go. The ones on the left are dropping down. And then we got the assembly line of them. So good. Day three in Split. We ended up having a really fun time on the boat. We got a VIP section because the security guard liked me, but who doesn’t like me? Um, and then we went and ate pasta and little mini pancakes, but didn’t close out the vlog because I didn’t have my camera and my phone died. So, day three. This is our last full day in Split. We don’t really have a lot of big plans. We want to eat McDonald’s later. Just walk around, see what the vibes are because we have to be up basically at 3:00 a.m. tomorrow. But Split so far is amazing. So, let’s get our last full day of Split in. Okay, we are walking around just absolutely taking beautiful pictures on this camera cuz I forgot like hello. I have a camera. It does both. So, we’re just walking around getting the sights and it’s just so beautiful. It’s such a beautiful day. The city is just full of history. Even though I don’t know anything about it and I’m not going to do a walking tour, I just like being around this old like ancient buildings and beautiful Izzy. Oh. Oh. Wow. Amazing. I didn’t even know this was here. as we understand and he is not sure whether we have force that god or what I was on the hunt for one of these type canvas bags or canva bag with a cat on it because I got one in Rome so I need one in Croatia I couldn’t find one but I came into this place and this gentleman said that we could No problem. I can come up here and look. No problem. Oh my god. Amazing. We could put anything. Oh my god. How cool. Said we could put anything on the bag. So I picked my cat. So I’m getting a custom made one, which is even better. Oh my goodness, I think. It’s perfect. Look. Oh, I love this. Is this what you wanted? This is exactly what I wanted. Oh my god. We are on our way to try the Mackey’s McDonald’s because I like to eat McDonald’s in every country that I go to because I eat the items that I cannot get in the United States. I know there’s a hot take on people say like, “Why would you eat McDonald’s in another country? You can eat that back home.” No, I don’t eat the Big Mac and chicken nuggets. like I eat the specific items that are local to the country and I love it. So, I’m going to keep my worldwide global pursuit of trying Worldwide Max. We are outside of Oldtown. As you can see, no more alleyways and historical buildings, but this is giving very much Europe vibes. The girls say that this is giving Poland. You can just you can just tell we’re in a different place just based on these buildings. Sorry if that bus is loud AF, but can’t you tell we’re somewhere else? This is what Poland looks like. Yeah, similar. Food secured. This is the view. Absolutely amazing. We’re sitting outside because it feels so good. And I also got told not to record inside. So, here we are outside. So, I got my Coke Zero. These are the spinach and cheese bites. Very interested about that. And then the crispy chicken yuzu. So I got the beef yuzu when I was in Rome last summer. So it’ll be cool to try the chicken one. Crispy chicken yuzu. And with chicken, cheese, bacon, lettuce, onion, and then the yuzu sauce. So let’s take a bite of that. Let’s get into the spinach cheese bites. Spinach cheese breaded crusted fried it looks like. Let’s see this. I don’t know if they’re going to be like a little cheese pool kind of. All right. They’re pretty good, but they’re not like phenomenally phenomenally outstanding. Well, I like to be completely honest. So, this was my most disappointed Mackey’s review. That’s okay. It’s just very similar to the row menu. So, there wasn’t that many options to choose from that were different from when I had it in Italy last summer. Like, it was still good. The chicken’s still good, but it still tasted just like a McChick. Didn’t really care for the spinach things. And I’m with Paulina and Izzy. They asked me what my favorite Macy’s has been. And I love the ones in Asia, in Tokyo, and in Hong Kong. And I also really like the one in Egypt. So, European Mackey’s just doesn’t do it for me. And that’s okay. I’m not I’m not the only one who’s being picky as hell. I’m not impressed. Like, what would you rate What would you rate it? She got the beef yuzu and fries. And then she got the chicken. She got what I got. Um, they also tried the spinach pies. And then you got I don’t we don’t even know what kind of wrap that was. Izzy loves snack wraps. Yeah, I love snack wrap. So that wasn’t it. I think it just had a mix of ketchup and mayo in it. Yeah. Instead of a different sauce, but was it beef or chicken? It was chicken. Chicken. I’d rate it a five out of 10. Five out of 10. Yeah, that’s generous. I would give it a three. Three, four out of the fries are decent. You have to get your own sauce. They wouldn’t give me ketchup. Yes. And keep that in mind. You have to order the sauce separately. How much is this? 60 cents. 60 cents. 60 cents. So that’s our my McDonald’s review. And don’t come for us. Be like, “That’s what you get for eating it in another country.” This is a ritual for me and I’m going to keep doing it. This is just the worst experience I’ve ever had. And it’s unfortunate because I’m with my European friends. These girls. All right. We have the owner here. Tell them your name. My name is Aunt. Nice to meet you guys. Nice to meet you. And then we have Mama in the back. Bestselling for you. Yes. Bestselling. Yes, please. I don’t have my thing. Thank you. Is that an ice cream bar? Yes, it’s a magnum ice cream. We cut it and put it inside the cruel. [Music] So, it’s perfect combo. Hot cross and cold and cold ice cream. Yeah. Phanam. Which topping you would like because we have like wild berry, chocolate, caramel, uh, pistachio. Chocolate. Okay. Yeah. Perfect. You know best, right? Yeah. Did you come up with all these on your own? All these different kind of mixings? Yeah, I tried every single option. Yay. You’re beautiful. Up close of this beauty. So, the warm croissant, a chocolate spread, magnum ice cream bar, chocolate drizzle, sugar, powdered sugar. This looks phenomenal. Watch out on your dress. I know. Oh my god. I ate my piece for Tik Tok. This is so good. The warm flaky croissant and you bite into the ice cream bar, which is still a little bit crunchy on the outside. Wow. Right. Real life reaction. Wow. And it’s cold and flaky and warm. This is insane. This is actually insane. Oh my god. Oh, my lips have chocolate all over my eye. Our last stroll and split. We leave tomorrow to be up at 3:00 a.m. We had the lovely croissant experience. I’m so grateful, so thankful for that. my first invite to do a food review and video. I’m so excited. It’s such a beautiful experience. And then we went back to the to- go pasta place because it’s quick, easy, and delicious. This time I tried a pesto pasta, but I got too excited and just went straight for it. So, I didn’t even think to get content. But we are walking. This is our last stroll. Split has been beautiful. This was a lovely experience. It’s a quick 3 days, but I got plenty out of it, I feel. And we’re off to a pizza. [Music]
