Taormina | Sicily | Walking Tour [4K] ๐ฎ๐น – Things to do, Guide & Vlog
Ciao fellas. Welcome back to the channel. This is your girl D and today we’re in Tamina, Sicily. A town that is perched high above the Mediterranean with stunning beaches, you know, history and some of the best food you’ll ever eat. In this video, we’ll ride a cable car down to the beach, taste Sicilian specialtities, and wander through the charming streets of the old town. Let’s go. So, one of the best ways to start in Tomina is by hopping onto the cable car. And one way trip will cost you about, you know, โฌ6, while a return trip cost about โฌ10. For me, it was making sense to uh grab a return ticket because either way, I must come back up because this is where uh my hotel is. So, once you get your ticket, you have to queue for uh for a while as you wait for the cable car to arrive. And in just few minutes, you glide from the hilltop down to the seaside village of Matsaro. My good lord, the views are absolutely breathtaking. As you guys can see, I am all about views. I’m all about the seaside. I’m all about just good vibes. So, this is exactly what I enjoy experiencing and I love sharing it with you guys. Man, it’s magical. [Music] So, here we are at the Matsaro Beach with crystal clear waters. And as you can see, it’s more laid-back than the famous Asolabella nearby. Uh the purpley shows, you know, uh might not be the softest, but the water is so inviting. Right at this point, I wish I could be able to jump inside, but as you all can see, the weather is acting up a little bit. And I mean, there’s nothing we can do these days about uh the global warming. All we have to do is just enjoy the ambiencece. And oh my goodness, just the sea makes my heart warm and melt. And one of the best parts of being here is you can sit down by the water and order some fresh food. I’ve got a plate of pizza. And honestly, food just tastes much better when you can hear the waves. And guess what? I could not resist having a canoli. Yo, this is probably Sicil’s most famous dessert. It’s crispy shell. You know, the sweet quarter filling and sometimes topped with pistachio, which which I love. Exactly. Uh and yes, every bite is as good as it looks. Man, this is amazing. Absolutely stunning. Since I couldn’t jump in the water, I decided to head back up in town and discover more hidden gems in the old town. It was so convenient for me to purchase a return ticket for the Kabuka because this way I didn’t have to worry about nothing. I mean, like anything could go wrong, you know. So, this trip is still the same. It’s kind of like few minutes you come and uh, you know, get off the cable car and now go discover the center. And honestly, Tomina’s city center feels like stepping into a movie set. I mean the cobblestone alleys, colorful ceramics, there’s colors everywhere. Actually, I think Sicilians love colors. And you know those little corners full of surprises? Every turn literally looks like a postcard. It’s like postcard perfect. Wow. I was just stunned and I was just impressed how people are enjoying, you know, and you know at some point it was raining but no one was caring about the rain. On the contrary, it’s kind of nice if you think about it. I’m from Dubai and we don’t receive rains here. So I was among the tourists who were just walking around, you know, enjoying the uh the rains and uh oh my goodness, it was so nice and the fresh, you know, the fresh air, it’s just bliss. All I can say is just bliss. [Music] [Music] Now this is Corso ombbertoina’s main shopping street and you’ll find everything from designer boutiques to handmade ceramics. and Sicilian lemon souvenirs. Even if you’re not buying anything, you know, it’s just fun to wander around and people watch. I do that a lot of times when I just feel like, you know what, let me do some touristic stuff just like any other tourist. I stop being a traveler for a second and I’ll be like, you know what, let’s indulge in the most touristic uh part of the city and I get to enjoy what other tourists enjoy. So, here we are walking down the streets, you know, just admiring all the stuffs and uh you know, the streets. You see how narrow the street is? All the tourists are so impressed about how narrow this street can be. But it’s all in all a good day that you can walk around and also uh discover more about Tamina as a old town, you know. [Music] Voila! Here we are in Tmina’s loveliest square, also known as the Piaza April the 9th. Evidently, this square comes to life when the sun is about to set. You get to see, you know, amazing panoramic views of the coastline and Mount Ena, you know, all white. The square fills with music and laughter. It’s just pure magic. Look at this spectacular view over the Mediterranean Sea. Isn’t this mind-blowing guys? You all know how this makes my heart melt and how I’m always happy to, you know, uh be in such areas. So, this is just magical. Look at how beautiful this place is. I wish I could be able to go down there in the sea, but again, I told you the weather is not so beautiful, but if you get this is what you get. I mean, you have to work with what you get. So magical. Amazing. Amazing. And right in the square is the Chietza Delvaro, a tiny 15th century church. Um it is easy to miss but worth a stop to take in a moment of come away from the busy streets. So if you really really need to, you know, get off this um uh busy streets and stuff like that, just walk into this church right here and you will enjoy the ambiencece inside. [Music] [Music] [Music] I literally cannot get enough of this place. It is just beautiful. You guys can see it’s still raining a little bit. Some showers. The floor is wet for sure, but it doesn’t stop people from, you know, walking around enjoying the ambiencece. The view is just magical. I just cannot stop but enjoy the weather because if I go back to Dubai, it’s going to be what 45 degrees and up. So, if I have the opportunity to be in such an uh a nice place with such a nice weather, why not, you know, let’s get wet, you know, let’s enjoy the place and uh you know, later on I must go and eat some of the Italian I mean, not Italian, of course it’s Italian, but the Sicilian specialities. I cannot wait at this moment. I am so so hungry. like I want to eat something proper by evening, you know. As you can see, the the sun is going down, so it’s time for us to, you know, go back to uh downside and go grab something to eat. Ah, look at this. So old town. And you know, it’s something nice that you don’t see in every city, particularly in Europe. So Italian cities are usually something different, which I enjoy and I love discovering. So, I’ve been to a lot of places in Italy and it’s always a beautiful thing. There are some public toilets here that uh you pay a euro and you get these um facilities. Goodness, it is so peaceful right here. I want to go down and see what’s popping, you know, behind this church. There’s definitely a nice view. I want to go there and see what’s happening. This could be some ruin, but I think the entrance is down from this way. So, I’m tired, but your girl got to explode. That’s what brought me all the way to Sicily, Tmina. It’s definitely time for me to eat something. I am now tired. Like, I’ve had a long, long day. But, uh, a girl got to eat. Yo, it’s very busy and noisy, but look at that view. Lovely. Now, for something truly special, it’s time for dinner. It’s impossible to visit Sicily and not eat any seafood. So, look at this gamber ros. So, Sicilian red prawns are star of the menu. Irresistible. Jeez. Ah, what a day in Tmina. From beaches to canoli, qu churches to incredible seafood. Man, this town perks in so much beauty and flavor. Thank you all for joining me on this vlog.
