Inside My New Condo in Bangkok | Expat Lifestyle Tour

All right, guys. In today’s video, we are going to be taking a tour through my condo and uh all the amenities it has to offer here in Bangkok. A lot of you guys uh were interested in seeing this, so we’re finally going to check it out and uh get into it. Stick around. [Music] Sick of dreaming. Want something more? Pack your bags. Don’t hesitate. Let’s go before it’s too late. [Music] Right away, we walk into the living room. And uh I really like the way it’s decorated here in the living room. And it’s extremely spacious. Big L-shaped sofa. Nice little dining area, which I always eat in front of the couch anyway, unless I have company. And uh then we got the bathroom here. Bathroom is really spacious. Uh big sink, nice mirror, lots of storage. And the uh bathtub is uh a unique feature that you don’t see too often. So, I got like a nice uh soaking tub and a shower. Yeah. Came with a nice good size TV. And uh this goes off into the kitchen. And it all uh closes off so I can close off the bathroom, everything. Um, here is the aircon. Nice chandelier that uh has dimming lights. And I like that there’s a window from the from the bedroom so I can kind of look in look through or close it off. But yeah, doorway into the bedroom. Good size uh queen-siz bed. And again, I like how they decorated this place. They decorated it very nicely. And my view is amazing to sit here and and work on my uh on my laptop here is uh quite nice. So I got my little workstation here and then I got this view that I can just sit outside and and look. And at night time, this view is amazing. In fact, I’ll show a little video footage of uh the view at nighttime. [Music] always falling into visions of us there islands floating in my mind makes the heart grow wildetile. [Music] This room also has split type aircon and a nice area set up for another TV if I wanted it. I don’t need it. I don’t watch TV in the bedroom. And just a ton of storage. It’s like so much storage. In fact, I’ve only used half of it. I’ll never I’ll never use all of it. And again, this bedroom closes off. I think this is 42 square meters. And then, of course, we have the kitchen. Uh the kitchen’s also very good size. A lot of storage as well. Came with a microwave. I still need to buy some uh some extra stuff, but uh nice little stove top. Full size refrigerator. Yeah. So again, this is a this is a pretty good size kitchen. And then we go outside. And I don’t ever see myself out here too much. It’s kind of hot and there’s not a lot of space. And we got a washerd dryer combo. You can see you can do wash dry on it. So, I’m going to close these this all off, which is again very nice because I can keep the aircon just um localized into just one room, which is nice. I’m interested in seeing what my electric bill will be. I will definitely do a video showing my cost for the first month. But right now, I’m going to take you up and I’m going to show you the amenities. So the first spot here is the garden area. So let me show you this. This is on the 26th floor. So this is the garden area that you can just see everything. Just look at that view. And uh a lot of people come out here and they just kind of hang out. But you can see the uh you know it’s just very nice. A lot of benches on both sides. uh views of the city just beautiful. It’s like an oasis. Uh we’ll take a quick peek in the gym. I think there’s people using it, so I don’t want to disturb anybody. There’s a sauna over here. Uh yeah. So, there’s a this is the bathroom. And of course, we got a uh a nice sauna in here as well. This is the gym area. I’m not going to go inside. There’s people using it. You can see there’s a very nice gym with a great view. And here’s the pool area. It looks like they’re kind of fixing it up a little bit, but uh yeah, here’s the pool area. Nice pool for laps. But yeah, this is uh all on the 26th floor. So, you can go for a swim, go into the sauna, or you could just uh work out after the workout, jump into the sauna and then take a swim. You know, it’s going to be really convenient. This is only day two for me here. Okay, guys. So, again, uh this place is 17,500 bot. I will put the conversion up on the screen. At the time of this video, the you know the conversion rate changes uh fluctuates, so the price could change up or down a little bit, but for the most part uh uh it’s actually less than what I was paying in the Philippines and it’s a little bit more square footage. Uh even though I had a twobedroom, I had a massive balcony. But um yeah, this place I I like better. It’s decorated nicer. uh more wide open space. Like I’ve got like quite a bit of space from the TV to the sofa, which is nice. Before I was a little cramped in there. Um I did get a lot of street noise here. I get no noise whatsoever. Um I’ll be interested to see what my electric bill is going to be. Uh I’ll be interested in seeing the water bill. Uh right now I have the internet uh coming probably on Monday. They had to rewire a new line into the into my uh condo unit. So, wasn’t able to get internet immediately upon move on um move in. So, uh but I’m I’m quite happy here. I’m really comfortable. I have to say in my 9 plus years in Asia, I feel like this is probably the best place that I’ve stayed at as far as comfort level. Uh it’s got really everything that I can need. So, I still need to buy a bunch of stuff. And uh again, I’m still going to be traveling around Thailand. I’ll be traveling out. Uh probably have a trip back to the US uh to hang out with my sons for the holidays. And um yeah, so I got I got lots going on, lots of trips. Uh next year I have a lot of places I want to go. And uh I I have kind of narrowed it down to probably Cambodia, Vietnam combo for my next uh trip out, I probably will do those two. There seems to be a lot more interest for Cambodia and so cuz of the easier visa and they take dollars and things like that. So I probably will do those two countries uh first. But yeah, this is my humble abode. Uh tell me what you guys think. Um some people will say, “Oh, you’re paying too much.” But I’m kind of right in the heart of Bangkok. The neighborhood is super convenient. I will do a walk and talk through the neighborhood. Uh there’s a nice big market with veggies and fruits and u other stuff uh not far from here. I will definitely do a morning walk through there one of these mornings and uh just kind of show you guys uh the area, but it’s super convenient. The BTS is like 150 m. The BTS is like the sky train. And uh also uh I’ve got coffee shops, I’ve got uh uh food just everywhere, massage, um live music just walking distance. So it’s really just an ideal location. And I went through an agent and she was fantastic. Uh so much to the point I’ve referred her out to a few people have reached out to me already. Um she prefers to chat through either WhatsApp or Line. you know, if somebody is in Bangkok and they’re looking, um, she you the way it works in Bangkok or in Thailand in general, they really want you to be here. I mean, if you’re not in Thailand yet, it it’s just for a lot of Thai people, they don’t really want to deal with uh looking for a condo for you yet. They really want you to be here so they can, you know, cuz things move quickly. Like when I found this place, like on day one, I was already putting a deposit, you know, that’s how fast they want to they want to move on things. Uh because condo, good condos can go quickly here. Uh the other thing is even with dating in Thailand, if you’re on the dating apps, if you aren’t living here or in Thailand, a lot of times they want nothing to do with you. They want you to be here. Uh some of the first questions they ask you, are you here permanently? Are you traveling? Are you working? um things like that. So yeah, uh the Philippines a little different. Uh they will start uh showing you places to rent. Uh the girls will chat with you and they’re okay with long distance, but Thai girls, no, not really. Anyway, let me get back onto topic. Uh this is my condo. Um I like it. Hopefully you guys like it. But this is what you can find for about this price range here in Thailand. Sure, you can get cheaper. You can go further out uh of the more central Bangkok area. A little further out, you’re going to get uh some older places, but big and still very nice with nice amenities and um yeah, for in less expensive or you can go further in and get, you know, even more modern amenities, a more modern, newer building, but it’s going to be more expensive. So, I feel like I’m kind of in the middle here. All right, guys. Thanks for watching. This is Gio on the go. Not Gio in the Philippines anymore. Gio on the go. Thank you guys for watching. I’ll see you in the next video. [Music] Sick of dreaming. Want something more? Pack your bags. Don’t hesitate. Gio, let’s go before it’s too late. Time keeps slipping away [Music]

  2. Hopefully they get the banking situation straight.. Still aiming for November arrival. If not Thailand probably eastern Europe.. Its a great price to me. Ive been $1400 a month for just rent for a studio.. In Arkansas lol.. horse shit lol

  3. Congrats on your new digs, look great and spacious. The Thai food is out this world. When I'm there it's thai food 24/7. Looking forward to your travels. All the best.
    Scotty

  4. Not sure why you don't head to Bali mate. By far the nicest people in the world and a lot cheaper than Thailand. Great looking place though. Its important to feel at home and 460euro for a month is very cheap.

  5. Yes, from someone who lived in Bangkok, Thailand for 15 years and now the been living in BGC Philippines 3 1/2 yrs., you get more and nicer, and bigger places in Bangkok, Thailand than in Manila, Philippines for the same price.

  6. Be honest, thailand is way better than the Phillipines. I was shocked visiting the Phillipines. The poverty, the prices. And I like the thai culture way more. I don't want to go the Phillipines anymore. Hua Hinn and Pattaya is on youre doorstep. And Phuket/chang mai is only 1 hour flight and very affordable.

  7. Bht17,500 is equivalent to almost Php31,000. that's a quiet expensive rent compared here in Philippines. I only pay Php15,000/monthly in a 1bedroom unit here at "The Beacon-Makati" which has way more better amenities.

  8. Wet nice place Gio. What is the name of the building and what BTS station is it near? Thanks for the tour, it looks amazing. Can I get the contact What’s app number please? I am near the Punnawhiti station

  9. With the ultra nationalist political movement in Thailand right now, don't put down any deep roots. Your visit might be shorter than you thought. Good luck.

  10. Great condo Gio ! Channel name is perfect for your new channel . Man , do you have views 😊saw few of those views in your Condo gym .
