I take the train from CDG into Paris 90% of the time after landing. It’s not high-speed, but it’s easy and efficient.
Here’s a step-by-step guide that takes less than 3 minutes to watch!

Getting off the plane at Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), you’ll head toward baggage and customs.

Afterwards, look for the signs to the exit and ground transportation.

Start looking for the word “Gare” for the airport train station. Walk toward the RER B, which heads into Paris.

At the train station ticket office, you’ll have two choices: wait in line to buy a train ticket from a person, or use one of the self-serve kiosks. They’re easy to use, and they usually have staff around to help.

Once you’re on your train, it’s about 45 minutes to get to Paris. You’ll end up at the Gare de Nord, one of the big train stations in Central Paris.
From here, it’s easy to find a taxi or the metro to your destination in the city.

  1. Great video.. I did the reverse going to the airport. A great tip I was given was to buy the ticket to the airport from the start of your metro station. As when you get to Gare de nord it’s very hard to find where to buy a ticket to the airport on the RER..

I had some tickets left on my metro and wanted to use them but I’m glad I took this advice..

Once I got through the labyrinth to the RER i saw a fellow traveller trying to find someone to help her buy a ticket to the airport. I felt so sorry for her, I had to chance in helping her, but I felt for her. I wonder if she made her plane
