🇫🇷 Что скрывает Ардеш? Топ-5 самых красивых мест

Ardèche is one of the most amazing corners of France, where nature and history intertwine in every landscape. This region is famous for its deep gorges and canyons, caves with prehistoric paintings, volcanic formations, and of course, the majestic Ardèche River, which cut its way through the rocks. Here you can see waterfalls, natural arches, endless chestnut forests, and picturesque medieval villages where time seems to stand still. Ardèche is a true paradise for outdoor enthusiasts. Hiking, kayaking, cycling routes, and also gastronomic discoveries, from famous chestnuts to traditional village dishes. This is a place where nature preserves its pristine wilderness, and the atmosphere gives the feeling of a journey through time. Ardèche is worth visiting at least once in a lifetime, to experience the spirit of real France – wild, beautiful, and sincere. Today in this video I will show you five of my favorite places in Ardèche. And if you are planning a trip to France, I strongly recommend you visit them. Before watching the video, please subscribe to the channel, be sure to click the bell, and leave a like. This way you support my channel, and I’ll be very happy. Now let’s go. We arrived at the place where once a volcano raged. Its eruption more than 35,000 years ago left behind an amazing trace – lava flows, which, as they cooled, cracked into neat hexagonal columns. It’s astonishing. The edges look as if they were shaped by human hands. But it was nature itself that created these giant organ pipes. And it is down them today that one of the most impressive wonders of Ardèche cascades: the Cascade de Ray Pic. To see it, you need to walk a little, about 15 minutes, if you don’t get distracted by the surrounding beauty along the way, as often happens with us—we need to capture so many shots. Then the walk can take much longer. Yes, these stones are volcanic rock. Different types of stones can be found here. At the entrance there were even four different kinds of stone, which are all formed from lava. Let’s go further. Yeah… The path to the waterfall is quite something. The trail leads through a cool forest, where rowan trees grow everywhere and open up stunning views of the Monts d’Ardèche Natural Park. Tall straight tree trunks stretch toward the sky, forming a living green corridor. At this moment you feel as if you’re walking through a natural temple, like a bamboo grove, only made of slender birches. Oh, it’s over there. That’s where you need to go down. And finally, before you stands a waterfall about 60 meters high. Streams of water fall along black basalt columns. In this spectacle it’s as if two elements meet: the fire of an ancient volcano and the power of flowing water. Two viewing platforms are available to admire the Ray Pic waterfall in all its strength and grandeur. Going lower, right to the foot is not allowed. It’s forbidden because of the danger of falling rocks. But precisely because of this, nature here has preserved its pristine wilderness, and the views from the platforms are no less breathtaking. The Ray Pic waterfall is a place where you can feel the breath of the ancient planet and see how time turns fire into stone, and stone into scenery for the living dance of water. It’s one of the top tourist attractions to visit in Ardèche. In Ardèche, the chestnut is called the bread tree. For centuries, this fruit fed the people of the region, especially in hard times, when growing grain was difficult. Chestnuts were ground into flour, used to bake bread, and to prepare numerous traditional dishes. The main chestnut harvest season in Ardèche falls in October and November. This is the traditional time for the festive “Castagnades” in Ardèche. An interesting fact: chestnut trees live several hundred years, and some are more than a thousand years old. Today the chestnut remains a symbol of the region. It is used to make creams, sweets, and other dishes, preserving the link with the history and nature of Ardèche. And to experience this heritage firsthand, you can visit a chestnut farm. At the farm there is a little shop where many chestnut products are offered, where you can taste honey, pastries, and enjoy pancakes—sweet or with vegetable filling. Now I’m going to try chestnut honey. I’ve never tried it before. Interesting honey. It’s a bit different from flower honey. Feels like it has a slight bitterness. And where are the sticks? I hope I took a clean one. The nicest part is that here you can try my favorite pancakes made from chestnut flour. Within the Monts d’Ardèche Natural Park dozens of picturesque villages are hidden. Each with its own history and character. And one of them made it onto my list of must-see places. It’s Balazuc. This village seems to have grown right out of the rock. Stone houses with tiled roofs blend into the gray cliffs. Narrow streets wind among arches and stairways, opening new views of the Ardèche River. It feels as if time has stopped. At every step you find traces of medieval history. Here you can forget about the rush of the modern world, enjoy nature, and simply rest your soul. In such places you often see locals playing pétanque, the old French game. After strolling through Balazuc’s narrow streets, you should definitely stop by one of the small restaurants. Here they serve traditional Ardèche dishes. And one of the most famous is Caillette. A gastronomic calling card of Ardèche. A simple rustic, yet incredibly delicious dish that locals prepare according to old recipes. … And if you want to return to nature again, but in a completely different mood, head to Safari de Peaugres. It’s a unique nature park where you can see animals almost like in the wild Africa, without leaving Ardèche. Safari de Peaugres is a whole little planet. The route consists of two parts. The first part goes by car and lets you see animals that are rarely found in Europe. You feel like you’re on a real safari. The animals roam here freely. And the second part of the route is on foot, where you walk among the enclosures and see animals almost within arm’s reach. Though tickets aren’t cheap, nearly 30 euros for an adult. With inflation, that’s almost like three baguettes in Paris. But the impressions last for a whole year. And finally, the most important natural symbol of Ardèche – the Pont d’Arc bridge. Probably Ardèche is famous thanks to this monumental natural arch. Pont d’Arc was formed 124 thousand years ago under the influence of the Ardèche River, which carved out this majestic bridge. Pont d’Arc boasts impressive dimensions: 54 meters high and 60 meters wide. The Ardèche River stretches for almost 125 km, and its waters have been carving this grand canyon for thousands of years. Today it’s the gateway to the famous Ardèche Gorge, a swimming spot and a magnet for canoeing. Every year more than one and a half million visitors come here. Pont d’Arc is a unique place in France, and probably in the whole world. It stands out with its size, elegant shape, and of course accessibility. Unlike other hard-to-reach places in the world, here you can easily get by car, on foot, or by canoe. By the way, speaking of accessibility, here they’ve built a convenient walking path. It didn’t exist before. Now reaching the arch is easy and comfortable. Though there’s a downside. The parking lot, which a couple of years ago was still free, has become paid. For 3 hours you’ll have to pay 10 euros. Here it is – the famous Ardèche Gorge. I hope you can see it just as clearly as I do. Beautiful. Did I say that right?
