Croatia Cruise Ports | CruiseHols Guide To Croatian Cruise Ports
[Music] Welcome back, cruise haulers, or hello if you’re new to this channel, where in this video I take you through the cruise ports of the European country of Croatia. Croatia has really developed itself into a leading tourist destination in the southeast of Europe thanks to historic towns and cities, its beautiful coastline, and its warm and sunny weather. But arguably the best way to mix the absolute best of the country is by enjoying a cruise to Croatia. Located to the east of Italy on the Adriatic Sea, thousands of British holiday makers head to the country to enjoy its beautiful beaches. And whilst many head there to enjoy the great historic cities on offer, such as the likes of Split and De Brvnik, plenty of others head there to see its beautiful attractions such as the Blitzky Lakes and also to see its historic islands. If you choose to fly to Croatia for a landbased holiday, you may get to take in one or two or perhaps even three of the main reasons for visiting there. But on a cruise, you can not only take in all of those aspects, but you can also take in a huge range of everything on offer in the country. Croatia borders Slovenia to the north, Hungary to the northeast, Serbia to the east, Montenegro and Bosnia Herzkavina to the southeast and has a long Adriatic coastline where many of the country’s leading towns and cities are found. So from my point of view, that makes it easy to visit many of its must-sea destinations on board the cruise. So as ever, don’t forget to like and subscribe and why not leave a comment below. Tell me where you would like to visit in Croatia or where you have visited in Croatia. My name is Darren and this is my look at the cruise ports of Croatia. There is a wide range of cruise ports located up and down the coast of the country with all of the following offering either the chance to start your holiday there or to simply visit as a port of call. The historic city of Dravdik is not only one of the country’s leading tourist destinations, but it is also the country’s leading cruise port and offers a wide range of holidays starting and ending in the city and also many cruisers calling there as part of a wider cruise of the Adriatic. There is lots on offer for those visiting there, including a cable car to the top of Mount Srred, which offers stunning views of the city, including its ancient walled old town, which offers narrow winding streets that make for a great day of exploring. The city is also a popular filming destination with blockbuster movies such as the Lord of the Rings trilogy using the stunning scenery there as a background for action. The beautiful city of Split is located in the north of the country and offers lots for visitors to enjoy. But it is also a gateway to the stunning Plitzky Lakes, a stunning UNESCO World Heritage site full of lakes and waterfalls that can easily be explored on winding paths. The city itself has lots there, including the historic town center, which is just a short walk from the cruiseport. Zadar is a city located on the beautiful Dalmatian coast which is famous for its Roman and Venetian ruins which makes for a highlight of any Croatian cruise. Ria is a port city located on Cabana Bay that is known as the gateway to the idilic Croatian islands. Although for those wanting to stay in the city itself, there is lots on offer including a beautiful prominard and a hilltop castle. The beautiful island of Havar is a popular summer resort, whilst the wall town of Havar is a great place to explore with highlights including a hilltop fortress and its Renaissance era cathedral. The town of Cockula on the island it gives its name to is known as Little Debbravnik due to its medieval squares, houses and churches, all of which can easily be explored on foot. Cibanik is a coastal city that is famed for its large natural harbor and for being the gateway to the Caneti Islands, but there is lots to explore in the historic city itself, including a beautiful 15th century cathedral, the Princess Palace, and a large fortress with stunning views out over the Adriatic Sea. The fishing port of Ravenia is located on the Istrian Peninsula where the old town is perched on the headland and offers a tangle of cobbled streets just waiting to be explored on foot where you will likely come across such sites as a hilltop church, an historic square and a beautiful bay. Pula is an historic city located in the Istria county of Croatia close to the border with Italy and that is famed for its historical sites of interest including many ancient Roman buildings such as a temple of Augustus and a Pula arena. So all that remains to be said thank you so much for watching. I hope you enjoyed my look at the crew sports of Croatia and see you next
