A Solo Day Hike to Kickelhahn
Hey, you. I did not forget about you. Come on. Me going on a proper hike has long been overdue. This hike is mostly me testing out my gear before I go on my next big adventure. Actually, I’m leaving to Switzerland to do a multi-day trick with my friends. And by the time you watch this video, I will be back. So please subscribe and stay tuned for that. Today’s hike is going to be just north of 10 kilometers with 500 m elevation gain. It is a circular trail and I’m doing it in reverse. It has been a while since I last went on a hike and I can’t think of better conditions than today to do this hike. There’s a heat wave going on. How lucky am I, right? I have been to other areas in Turinga forest but not this area particularly. It’s all new to me so far. Very promising. It’s very beautiful here. I heard so many good things about this area and it’s living up to it. [Music] Feels [Music] like I’m back to square one. But good thing is I have been training for bigger adventures and that training is helping me retain the endurance quicker this time. Let’s see how today goes. At the end of the day, it’s all about those big adventures. Let’s take a quick break. Nothing fancy. Just some not hot but cold chocolate. I’m not going to drink hot chocolate in this weather. Cheers. It’s just hot chocolate powder and cold water work. Let’s go. I have not seen anyone since I started this hike. Looks like I have the whole mountain to myself. I’ll take it. [Music] [Music] It’s some kind of museum but it’s closed today only open from Wednesdays to Sundays. [Music] It has just been over an hour now and I’m almost to the top. I just have like uh less than a kilometer to go. [Applause] Pretty quick, pretty easy. Seems like [Music] it’s a sign about uh all the reptiles. some venomous. [Music] I never gave a second thought about venomous snakes here. [Music] I think that’s over off and sneak off. I’ve been there. I’ve been to that peak. I hiked to that peak. It’s a hobber of sorry gross beerburg and uh sneak offer the highest peaks in the state of Turingia. I made a video hiking to that peak. [Music] [Music] [Music] I have just reached the viewpoint. It is very easy hike with beautiful views all around. And there is a beer garden where you can grab something to drink and eat and chill. Normally I would treat myself with the cheesecake and coffee at the end of each hike, but today is Monday. Monday is ruer, so it’s closed. I guess I’m not having a cheesecake. I just got a dehydrated meal with me. So I’m just going to make a quick meal. Nothing fancy, just some dal rice from Beautl. Let’s see how it tastes. Smells good. Looks good. Let’s see how it tastes. It’s hot. Have to let it sit aside for a while. Tastes good though. It’s good. I’m going to keep this video very short so that I can make it easy for myself and enjoy the moment here.
