Glass making in Japan! Use Klook code BLAKETOKYO #japantravel #japan #reels

This might be the most fun thing I’ve done in Japan, and it makes the perfect svenir. Just a few steps away from Asaka, my friend and I came to carve our very own Edoko glasses. This is how it works. You start by choosing the shape, size, and color of glass you want to make. And then the instructor gives a brief tutorial on how to use the machine. After a few practice rounds, you draw your design on the glass and get to carving. And the machine is totally safe. It somehow cuts the glass, but won’t cut your fingers. You have 90 minutes start to finish. And at the end, you can even have a little photo shoot with your finished glass. I booked this experience on Cluke. Check the caption on how to reserve with a discount.

One of my favorite experiences in Japan! 👨🏻‍🎨

You can book this on Klook and use the code BLAKETOKYO for a discount! Just search “Edo Kiriko Glass” or leave a comment and I can send you the link✨

My friend and I made our own Edo Kiriko glasses in Asakusa! I initially thought it might be really difficult, but the teacher gave an easy to understand explanation and we had some time to practice on model glasses before diving into our own. We were able to choose the shape, size, and color of our glasses before starting our designs 🎨

The whole experience lasts about 90 minutes. Highly recommend it! The end result makes a great souvenir from your Japan trip that you’ll actually use 🙂‍↕️
