Taormina 2025: Prices, Beaches, How to Get There, What to See and Where to Stay | Italy Travel Vlog
Have you ever wondered what it feels like to stand on a terrace high above the Mediterranean? Where the sea sparkles below the mount atarizes in the distance. A place where an ruins still host concerts where winding lanes lead to quiet chapels and wild beaches and the sea with the tide. That place is Tumina, Sicily. In this video, we’ll dive deep into water looks like in 2025. We’ll explore prices, discover beaches, learn how to get there, uncover what they see, and consider where to stay. I won’t just list facts. Instead, I’ll ask questions. questions that might make you pause, imagine, and picture yourself here. So, let’s begin our journey prices versus the cost of life in Tamina. Let’s start with every day. If you walked into cafe this morning, how much would your coffee cost? A cappuccino is about 1.7 roughly €2. An espresso a little bit less. 1.2 about €1.4. And lunch. A fast food meal maybe meal will be around €910. A simple sit down lunch 124. A three course dinner for two at a mid-range restaurant about 50 or 58. Now think about cooking at home. What the washers cost? Fresh bread €1.8. A lit of milk 1.2 a gallon of bags €2.7. A kilogram of oranges 2.1. So there is a question. Do you prefer tasting Sicily through its markets, picking tomatoes still warm from the sun or sitting at Ftoria with someone else serves you? The family recipe. And then there is transport. A tax starts at about 10 12. Sometimes it starts in about€7 with each kilometer added about 1.4 1.7 on average. Utilities for an 85 square me apartment about 200 a month. Internet about €30 per month. What about rent? Huge huge question to discuss, but let’s talk about average ones. Onebedroom apartment in the historic center 800 1,000 per month. The three bedroomedroom 1,500 to 2000. Move outside the center and you’ll find one bedroom 600 to 800. Three bedroomedroom 1,00 1,500. So is Tormina expensive or is it simply priceless? That of course depends on what value most beaches where the sea hides its secrets. Now let’s leave the numbers behind and walk downhill. What’s waiting at the bottom of Terminina cliffs is Olabella, the jewel of Termina, a tiny island connected to the mainland by the strip of pebbles. Sometimes it’s a walkway and high tide it disappears. You look, you wait and you wonder, do I cross now or do I let the island remain a mystery? My high recommendation, wear le sneakers when you’re just wanting to walk around at the beach and 100% buy in advance water shoes. You will not regret it. Crossing in the water without water shoes is a high no. Don’t do that. And if you ask me, Lucy, are there many places to buy those water shoes? I would say no. Buy in advance. [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. Heat. [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey. Hey. Hey. [Music] Mazara just below Tormina. They are framed by rocks. You can take the cabbble car down gliding from the town above. Rooftops shrinking as the sea rises to meet you. The beach itself is small but alive with leaders offering lounges, umbrellas and food. It doesn’t matter which beach you are choosing first is or Mazara. You know that you really need to walk a lot downhill and uphill. A good thing when you are walking from Zabala on the highest place of the steps is a little fountain and you will be able to refresh at least your hands and face. But otherwise that is literally impressive stairs and probably if you are not willing to climb a lot then maybe choosing two of those beaches is not a good idea to you. If you are talking bizarro those steps aren’t that stiff but they’re still there. And if you have any difficulties with your knees or on average with your health, maybe you should rethink this idea and go to other beaches with less steps ahead of you. But those beaches are just impressively beautiful. One of a kind experience. Even though the prices for beach beds are always insane, I think about like €50 on average per person and no refreshments included [Music] I’m [Music] You’ll see. [Music] Everything. [Music] SPON [Music] that is wider, more open with both private and Free errors here. Families spend entire afternoons. The sound of laughter mixes with the waves. Some visitors bring a others rent a chair. A thing which you must understand. This is not exactly terrorina. You really need to take a little ride. It really feels that things are close when you are watching the map, but it is not. It is just uphill, downhill, uphill, downhill. And it’s co white ride. If you choose going by foot, so don’t underestimate herina. You will need to have a good house. Goa leani a little further north, a long sandy stretch. It feels different here. less dramatic, more spacious. Locals walk along the shore and fishing boats still return at dusk. Would it choose the ro drama of Terminina’s cliffs or the gentle rhythm of a fishing town? To the south of Terminina lies Gerardinian Nexus, the first Greek colony in Sicily. The beach here is sandy. The vibe gel to lotus line they prominate children round with soccer balls history whispers in the ruins nearby but the beach feels everyday portable. So which beach calls to you? The hidden, the dramatic or the relaxed? And before you feel the sand between your toes, you need to arrive. How to reach a town pushed high above the sea. Most travelers fly into Katana Fontosa airport. From there it’s about an hour by car bus. The road along the coast villain zonian see again and again. Others come by train. We stop off toina jerin station right at sea level z. You look up way up in the town on the cliff where here buses and dexes climb the last stretch. Some premo further away but connected and some with time arrive by fair lead in the sea introduced silly slowly. So here is the question. Would you rather take the fast route and get to or slow journey savoring each curve on the coastline? As for me, Tarina was my least favorite place to visit on the journey and I was never ever expected it to be on the highest place of the hill. I never expected so much stairs and I mean those are stairs stairs I mean I’ve never had such experiences and most unexpected thing for me was those ups and downs ups and downs you really need good shoes to go to Terramina and if you want just to walk the prominate you really need to stay somewhere on the hill in some hotel and only there to wear some heels to wear some beautiful dress or suit. Terramina is really a good place to walk up and down. I came to Teramina by bus. I’ve never ever thought going down by the train to Terminina Georg Station. I’ve read that it’s a bad idea and if like 10 people saying it’s a bad idea, it’s a good thing to listen. And it was a great idea because the bus comes way up to the hill. It was literally just I don’t know 500 m or so left to climb uh to enter the old city of Tormina and it was the best decision. I advise you to buy tickets to toina in advance. The same advice comes from everyone from the bus station because when it is in busy day, busy hour, it may not be possible to like any tickets left to you. So, it’s a good idea to buy either both tickets from advance or the comeback ticket if you are not staying in Tamina as I did. It’s a good idea to buy it already. At that evening, tickets were left on the tickets office, but it is advised not to be so careless. The great thing of coming to Teromina is you are really close to phonicular and as I did, I arrived around like 11:00 a.m. to Tina bus station. Then I went down by phonicular. Oh, then you understand how high in the hill to Mina goes. Then I went to two beautiful beaches, spend the most sunniest hours there, relaxing. And when it went a little bit dark, all is done. I came back by finicular up to the old city and started to exploring this beautiful place streets and it was a good hour to find a great place to have dinner. Some say that Tina is overrated, underrated. I didn’t like to first because everyone was so obsessed with it and I find it a really bad red flag that something isn’t right. But looking back to my trip, I can say that to Arina is one of a kind. It’s a beautiful, beautiful city. great experiences and for me the main thing was that I literally didn’t expect those hails those for use. It’s not that obvious when you are just watching videos or photos or reading somebody else’s experiences in Tarumina. That is great because something that you didn’t expect, something that was too hard to understand was those are most precious memories. Even though even in photos, it’s not that obvious that the view is that beautiful. This beach is then gorgeous only after you like realize that that was the experience and that thing I appreciate so much about and love love for you one day to have that experience and the great story about that for Nicol there were a great family I believe from United Kingd kingdom. They did have two beautiful children around 10 years old and uh they were just talking about that they did have their honeymoon in Terramina probably I don’t know I don’t remember the exact date but for example 15 years ago and it was so so sweet that they came back to Termina with the kids already to give them a little bit of their own memories of this beautiful city. And I find it the greatest strategy to go to Terminina once and then come back probably in 5 years or even more because Italy is so gorgeous. There are so many places to visit. And getting back to Sicily is not one big trip at all. You usually need months and months to explore. The water sea beyond the beach. Tina is not just about the sea. It is also about stories, carves, and stone. Brick. It was built in the third century before Christ, still standing, still alive. Imagine sitting there watching a play or a concert with Mount Edna glowing in the distance and the sea below, the not just ruins, it is a stage that still bruises. Corsomeberto the main street boutics cafes joas but also hidden corners artist courtyards balconies overflowing with flowers slowly or do you let curiosity put you into every single alley and I have to add again that beautiful street also challenges you because there are so good places, cafes and bars and restaurants and you just have to climb or to go down and then you understand that after that you would have to climb back. Of course, this great thing to have good photographs but then you understand that you probably a kid again and you have to explore. Nothing is too obvious like every corner round the corner shows you something new and not that omous and that is very cool thing about her roina. Yeah. [Music] Good. [Music] Patza 9, April. Perhaps the most photographed square. Churches on one side, the only sea on the other. Musicians play, couples take photos, and yet if you stand still for a moment, you might feel as if time itself pauses. I came to that piaza when it was already sunset and I believe that is the most gorgeous time of the day to be there. You just feel you are all over the top that you’ve climbed the highest mountain. It is not. But yet it has this feeling. You just looking back. You see those gorgeous buildings. It feels like they’re just growing through the mountain. Gorgeous people around. And again, you’re getting back to your first glance and there is endless sea and you’re on top of it. Maybe somewhere on the horizon there is a huge huge liner standing there in the shore and it just just really impresses and especially understanding like people lived there before tourists overcrowded it and today he understand that that main street those boutiques are mainly targeting tourists and old center is overcrowded with tourists. Couple of decades ago like maybe 50 years ago there were no such monks of tourists and couple hundreds years ago there were no tourists at all and people live there and that was the everyday view. I mean that is just just gorgeous walks and trails. For those who climb there is Madona de la rocka a table on the hill offering panoramic views. For those who decide there are steps leading to Zabella every path leads were unexpected. What you would choose the famous landmarks or the quiet discoveries where to stay your home in Terminina after a day exploring where you rest. Hotels here range across budgets. Three star hotels run 7587 per night. Fourstyle hotels about 134 156 per night. and fourstar hotels up to 300. What really impressed me is that that beautiful hotel and the Mazaro beach and the price was around like 2,000 and average. That must be one of a view and one of a kind experiences to put that price there. Stay in the historic center and you’ll be surrounded by energy cafes at your doorstep. Corona just steps away, church bells in the morning. Stay side out the center and you’ll find feelless apartments and quieter hotels. Here the nights are softer, the waves more audible. So, do you choose the heart of a town or the calm of the sea? The choice is yours. Now, you seen Terminina and 2025. You know the processes from coffee to apartments. You know the beaches from hidden cs to wandish horse. You know how to get there, what to see and why you might stay. The real answer is still waiting. Is to just a holiday destination for you, a place for a weekend escape? Or could it become something more? A place to return to again and again? I can show you the numbers. I can tell you the names. I can even describe the views. But the feeling that’s for you for discover. So will you come? [Music] Hey, hey, hey. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] Give me down for me down for me down Oh, you don’t know. [Music] Hey, [Music] [Music] boy. Give me boy. Give me boy. Give me boy. Get down for down. [Music] [Music] Follow me. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hello. Hello. Hello. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Yeah, [Music] hey. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] Hey, [Music] hey, hey. Hey, [Music] hey, hey. [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music]

Kalithea, Greece 🇬🇷 also has the beach at the bottom of a considerable cliff. The problem is that even little things like going to a cash machine instigates an Olympic style workout over and over again 😅.
