Paris, France 🇫🇷 – 4K PARIS Walk ❤️ 13 September 2025 | A Perfect Stroll You Should Do!

A meeting point for students, artitsts, and poets Place Saint-Michel always has something to say. The fountain is made of seven kinds of stone strength carved into beauty. but still under renovation :/ 🏛️ Named after a vast Augustinian monastery once towering nearby now only silence remains. 🎨 Picasso painted Guernica here inside a hidden attic studio above the Seine. 📚 A favorite of writers from Hemingway to Camus, searching the river for answers. 🕊️ Booksellers line the river poetry sold where the tide once carried secrets. 🪑 It had built-in stone benches rare in its time, meant for strolling Parisians to rest. 💧 The bridge included small fountains Paris’s first public drinking water source on a bridge. 📦 Street vendors sold perfumes, pamphlets, fake teeth, and fortune-telling birds it was a floating marketplace. 🎭 In the 1600s, actors and street dentists competed for crowds right on the bridge. 🐘 A circus elephant once crossed Pont Neuf in the 1800s attracting a roaring Parisian crowd. 🎨 Painter Jacques Callot made some of the earliest etchings of Pont Neuf, filled with bizarre characters. Pont des Arts🏗️ Rebuilt in 1984 its structure is not original, but nearly identical to the 1804 version. 🧭 It was modeled after an English-style garden bridge light, graceful, and meant for leisure. 🖼️ In the 19th century, it hosted outdoor art exhibitions, the first of their kind on a bridge. 🖋️ *The name “Pont des Arts” comes from its location next to the Palais des Arts (Louvre). 🎒 Paris students consider it a lucky place before exams many toss coins or make wishes. Le Louvre 🏰 Originally a medieval fortress built in 1190 to defend Paris from Viking invasions. 👑 Transformed into a royal palace in the 16th century home to kings before Versailles. 🧠 The Louvre is the world’s most visited museum yet only 10% of its art is displayed. 🐫 In the 1800s, exotic animals were kept in the courtyard including a live camel.^^ 🧱 Under the Cour Carrée lies a mystical alchemical room used by royal scholars. ✨ The glass pyramid by I.M. Pei caused outrage in 1989 now it’s iconic. What do you think of it? it fits here? 🧭 The pyramid aligns perfectly with Paris’s historical axis connecting the Louvre to the Arc de Triomphe.📐 🎨 You’d need 100 days, 24/7, to glance at every object in the Louvre. 🎭 Once housed the first Paris opera and ballet performances in royal salons. 🔐 Some believe a secret room inside the Louvre holds Napoleon’s lost correspondence and maps. 🧳 Before becoming a museum in 1793, the Louvre hosted guests, parties, and coronation balls. 🌙 On special nights, the museum opens till midnight the Louvre under moonlight is unforgettable. we will do a visit soon I think 🎨 Designed by André Le Nôtre the same genius behind Versailles gardens (Tuilleries) 🕊️ Was once home to peacocks, deer, and even an elephant in the 17th century. 🎭 Hosted royal fireworks, masquerades, and festivals a theater of power and joy. 🖼️ Today, the garden is an open-air sculpture museum with works by Rodin, Maillol, and Giacometti. 📜Rue des Pyramides : Named in 1806 after Napoleon’s victory at the Battle of the Pyramids in Egypt. 🎖️ Leads directly to the equestrian statue of Joan of Arc golden, defiant, unforgettable. 🖼️ Today, lined with art galleries, embassies, and cafés, far from the desert winds of Egypt. 🕊️ A quiet street with a loud name and history beneath every step. ✍️ Few Parisians know what the name means but history hides in plain sight. 🏰 To build it(av de L’Opéra) Haussmann demolished over 350 buildings wiping out entire medieval neighborhoods. 🎨 The façades along the avenue were all harmonized in height and style, creating a visual rhythm. 🌸 A former perfume shop here claimed to make scents for Marie Antoinette Rue Saint Honoré One of Paris’s oldest streets, tracing a Roman road from the city’s ancient heart ✨ Named after Saint Honoratus, the patron saint of bakers fitting for a street so rich in flavor. 👠 Now a fashion capital home to Chanel, Goyard, and concept stores defining Parisian style. Hello! The metro entrance (Othoniel’s Kiosque des Noctambules) was initially controversial, now beloved for its surreal style. 📜 Before Colette, it was simply part of Rue Saint-Honoré, with no official square name. 👠 Colette lived just a few steps away at Palais-Royal, where she wrote in bed by light. 👑 Created in 1633 as Cardinal Richelieu’s private garden, long before it opened to the public. 🎭 Molière performed for the royal court here he once lived in the gallery arcades. 🌸 The central square is planted with roses many descendants of 18th-century varietals. 🐦 Birdsong fills the mornings nightingales, robins, and the occasional opera singer warming up nearby. 🧱 The arcades house antique bookstores, rare perfume shops, and secret fashion ateliers.
