how expensive are German Christmas markets which foods do you need to try and what are traditional souvenirs let’s explore [Music] together hey guys and welcome back to the urban jungle my name is Julia and today we’re in beautiful alburg for a Christmas Market visit we not only want to eat delicious food but also check out the prices is it cheaper than in Munich let’s find out by the way alburg is only half an hour by train from Munich so this is the perfect day trp don’t you think alburg is one of Germany’s oldest cities and with this town hall Square also one of the prettiest locations for a traditional German Christmas Market the citizens even light up Windows to reveal a new advent calendar motive every day in the afternoon the market Comes Alive as the many many Christmas Market stalls light up Christmas markets are all about snacking you can find Germany’s take on chocolate marshmallows traditional gingerbread hearts for your love one all sorts of roasted nuts and so much more but let’s start with the classic theat there are so many variations you actually would need to try them all Prices range from 5 to 8 and we will go for the fanciest one today the devil [Music] sausage okay let’s go so we got half a meter of the tyen devil sausage so I assume it’s spicy let’s [Music] try it has a tiny level spice to it and in the middle you can see t tii and koale so I’m excited definitely not what I expected from a brat but with the yogurt sauce it has some little of freshness to [Applause] it another highlight of the local craft St look at all the delicately made wooden figurines if you’re missing one for your nativity scene then surely here you’ll find it or how about some Christmas tree ornaments whether you like classic or a colorful for €4 you can get a small souvenir I’m curious what’s shining on your tree do you decorate with traditional natural ornaments or do you like it bright and colorful I’d love to hear from you in the [Music] comments M these look delicious what else can we snack on here oh chocolate covered fruits this year Dubai sweets are all the hype but basically there’s every fruit covered in white milk or dark chocolate so you’re free to choose yes strawberries for me o I love the strawberries even though it wasn’t even the season they were so juicy and rich in flavor the price is the same as in Munich for the strawberries but here they also have raspberries for only €3 how cool so we also get something for a smaller budget by the way if you need to use restrooms you don’t have to flee into a cafe right feeling thirsty yes then let’s get some mold wine under the Christmas pyramid there are alcohol-free drinks as well and many many variations of the classic mold BL with different fruits a lot of people here are having apple cider so let’s [Music] try all almost o this is definitely getting me drunk it’s still good tastes a lot like apple but of course with alcohol yeah I’m smacked in alcohol as cute as this Christmas Market is do not forget to stroll the adjacent streets oxburg has a super Charming old town with adorable side streets and even more cute little shops here the cafes are showcasing their own take on handmade chocolate figurines and Christmas cookies this surely will be a lovely Christmas present or souvenir for your trip if you can keep your hands up [Applause] [Music] see [Music] oh look at how pretty all the lights shine time for another round of food tip the majority of STS prefer crash or some only accept cash so make sure to bring some [Music] bills so we’ve had a little challenge I only have € left so can we get something warm under €4 [Music] yes CP I know it’s French but it’s a staple on every German Christmas Market and you can get them sweet or salty with fish different cheeses or hem usually I’m the cinnamon sugar type but today sugar and lemon it is it beautifully sticks to your fingers but hey that’s the experience isn’t this such a great View so we have toured the whole oxburg Christmas Market and as you can see it’s super chill you have time and space to scoll around the prices are a little cheaper than in Munich so it’s definitely
